Chapter 80 Zhou Xinya was so angry she cried.

Sun Lifang invited Mrs. Tong to stay for dinner. Jiang Meimei had prepared a table full of dishes. Zhou Yunshi had just arrived home when he received a call from the factory. He left without even having a bite to eat.

In modern terms, Zhou Yunshi was just a working-class man.

As they continued working, their wallets grew thicker and thicker. Sun Lifang remembers that her husband later frequently attended classes and continued to learn and improve.

He's not that busy now, but he'll be even busier in the future.

Zhou Yunshi submitted the company's revenue report at the age of forty and then went to study for an EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration) before returning.

He seemed tireless, able to calm down and study again after battling in the business world.

In contrast, Sun Lifang admires her husband.

She just can't do it. After being away from school for so long, it's hard to get her back into the daily routine of studying.

Just thinking about it makes my head spin.

As the company grew larger and larger, various investments were screened one after another, such as Series A, B, and C investments, and interpretation of government and supervisory reports. Zhou Yunshi was so busy that he was practically a frequent flyer.

So when the two of them were trying to conceive, they were always on a tight schedule.

She flies to the hotel where she ovulates whenever she is ovulating.

Counting down the days, Zhou Yunshi quit smoking and drinking, all in order to make up for the child he had lost.

It's too lonely to have only one child at home.

Zhou Yunshi felt guilty towards his eldest daughter, so he would always secretly give her pocket money, whatever he could.

Therefore, Zhou Xinya never lacked money and was a bully in her class at a young age.

She was always surrounded by a group of followers, waiting for Zhou Xinya to treat them to food.

Despite seemingly having many "friends," Zhou Xinya was ultimately led astray by those bad friends.

What kind of friends are those that you can buy with money?

The little girl didn't understand; she thought her mother was being malicious.

"What right do you have to tell me what to do? It's all your fault I have no friends!"

That was the first time Zhou Xinya had a direct confrontation with Sun Lifang.

In order to cut off her daughter's contact with this group of "bad friends," Sun Lifang took a very radical approach.

She went to the school to report those bad kids and asked their parents to come in!

How can I not be angry?

Originally a consistent top ten student in the grade, capable of scoring in the 90s, I dropped to the passing grade after making new friends.

Who wouldn't be angry? Seeing her daughter being led astray, Sun Lifang was furious and rushed to the school to demand a change of seat.

This completely offended that group of people, and Zhou Xinya was isolated once again.

The mother and daughter became like strangers, and their relationship grew increasingly strained.

The daughter only talks to her father; when he looks at her, he has a lifeless, expressionless face.

"Don't make a fuss, I'll talk to her," Zhou Yunshi reassured her before going to have a heart-to-heart talk with his daughter.

But then, Zhou Xinya went back to hanging out with that group of bad friends.

Sun Lifang then learned that Zhou Yunshi had treated the children to a meal and then slipped money to her daughter afterwards.

That really made her angry.

"Leave me alone! I don't want you to interfere!" The little girl pushed her mother away. "I finally managed to save face, stop making a scene."

Zhou Xinya felt ashamed because Sun Lifang went to school.

The relationship between mother and daughter deteriorated, and after more than a year of trying to conceive, there was no result.

Sun Lifang simply let go, saying, "Do whatever you want, I don't care anymore."

It makes it seem like I'm trying to frame you. You gave birth to me and raised me, yet you've become my enemy.

The couple had been trying to conceive for a long time without success, so she went for IVF to distract herself.

I don't know how many injections she had to get before she conceived twins.

Thinking of this, Sun Lifang looked at her daughter, who was watching TV with a spoon in her mouth and laughing out loud from time to time.

They were at an age of innocence, carefree joy, and unbridled spirit.

How many years does childhood last?

It's time to be happy.

Sun Lifang smiled, looked away, and gestured to Mrs. Tong across from her, "Eat more."

Mrs. Tong went to the company early in the morning to answer a phone call, and when she came back, she started packing her things. The housekeeper thought she wasn't coming back and hadn't cooked, so she was already starving.

Of course I can make it; I have plenty of vegetables in my fridge.

Why not do it?

Don't ask, the answer is I don't want to.

Mrs. Tong and her husband were both plump and loved to explore food. Occasionally, when the mood struck them, they would cook for each other – it was a real treat.

In Mrs. Tong's words, "How much money can I earn by cooking? I'd rather hire a nanny than waste that time cooking."

Time is money, and the couple adhered to this principle to the end.

One company leased out stalls in the vegetable market, while the other took over the management of shops in the clothing market.

Both of these are extremely lucrative projects.

Why aren't you eating braised beef?

Sun Lifang ate a few bites before remembering that she needed to control her blood sugar during pregnancy, so she put down her bowl and urged Mrs. Tong to eat more.

She gets immense satisfaction from watching others eat.

"I don't like cooked food." Mrs. Tong smiled. "I'm busy with business every day, so I eat this kind of semi-finished fast food, which is unhealthy."

It looks unappetizing.

She even knew about health, which made Sun Lifang laugh.

Are you serious about someone who constantly drinks Coke and Sprite at home and then talks about health?

"This boiled beef is really well made." Mrs. Tong picked up another large mouthful of beef and put it in her bowl. Suddenly, as if she had just thought of something, she looked at Sun Lifang and asked, "Are you carrying a boy or a girl?"

Why bring up this topic all of a sudden?

Sun Lifang didn't quite understand at first, then heard Mrs. Tong say, "Sour for a boy, spicy for a girl, I just realized why your house is full of spicy dishes?"

"Could it be..."

Mrs. Tong's gaze fell on Sun Lifang's belly.

"It's the same whether you have a boy or a girl."

Sun Lifang read the sentence again, intending to move on from the matter, but unexpectedly Mrs. Tong took over the conversation.
