Shen Yan tried out the fountain pen in his room. It felt great to use, so he happily practiced a few more times and quickly completed half of tomorrow's task.
When Chen Yu returned to her room, she put the pen on the table. She opened her phone and saw that Wang Yue had sent her a lot of messages. Only then did Chen Yu remember that she had contacted Wang Yue, but she had forgotten to check her phone again.
[fish: It's okay now, hahaha!]
She didn't want to talk about those unpleasant things anymore, so she replied to Wang Yue with a laugh. Chen Yu looked at the ceiling boredly, and after thinking about it, she opened the game. Once she started, she couldn't stop. She played until almost morning before going to sleep. In the middle of the night, she was cursing, which was heard by Shen Yan. He was never a deep sleeper, and he thought that something had happened to Chen Yu. He was about to knock on her door when he found that she was playing a game, so he withdrew his outstretched hand.
Shen Yan didn't sleep well last night, so he got up early the next day. When he went downstairs, he saw Chen Le making breakfast. "Uncle, let me help you." Shen Yan rolled up his sleeves and wanted to go forward to help Chen Le carry the plates.
"Go away, go away, you little kid, worrying about these things. Where's Chen Yu? Wake her up for breakfast."
"She hasn't gotten up yet, so she probably won't wake up so soon."
"Alright, alright, remember to feed her when she gets up. I've prepared lunch for you all. I won't be back for lunch; I have some business to attend to at the farm next door, so don't wander off!" Chen Le instructed Shen Yan before hurriedly leaving.
Shen Yan ate his breakfast quietly by himself. He didn't plan to disturb Chen Yu, who had just gone to sleep when he got up.
He put Chen Yu's breakfast out to keep it warm, cleaned up the dishes, and went upstairs. He started to feel sleepy as he looked at the test questions. He didn't know if it was because of the medicine he had been taking these past few days, but he was always feeling sleepy, so he simply put down his pen and went back to bed.
I slept until noon.
Shen Yan glanced at his watch. He had slept until almost eleven o'clock, the first time he had ever slept so late. He sat up in alarm, realizing he had wasted so much time sleeping. He could have finished a whole set of test papers in that time.
Chen Yan rubbed his head in a melancholy mood, deciding to have lunch before studying. He needed to get a good night's sleep so he could focus on his studies in the afternoon. He walked out of his room and knocked on Chen Yu's door. "Chen Yu, do you want to have lunch?"
He called out a few times but received no response. After thinking for a moment, he decided to let her continue sleeping and go downstairs to have lunch. Chen Yu would probably sleep until the afternoon before getting up.
Shen Yan went downstairs to heat up lunch. When he brought it out, he saw Chen Yu coming down the stairs. She looked at Shen Yan with sleepy eyes and asked, "Have you had lunch yet?"
"Hmm, do you want to eat? I'll heat it up for you."
"good."
