The misunderstanding was cleared up, and everyone returned to their own schools.
Shen Yan waited downstairs at Chen Yu's dormitory building. When he learned that she hadn't come back last night, he was a little angry, but he still patiently coaxed Chen Yu.
The two were sitting downstairs in the dormitory building.
The senior student came from the cafeteria and saw Shen Yan holding a girl's hand from afar.
She felt somewhat disappointed; she realized she was indeed a step too late, and someone else had gotten there first.
The senior student's eyes lit up; she wanted to see what this girl actually looked like.
"Chen Yan? What a coincidence, this is..."
Shen Yan was startled when his name was suddenly called. He turned his head and saw that it was his senior.
"Senior, this is my girlfriend, Chen Yu."
"Girlfriend, what a perfect match! Hello Chen Yu, my name is Jiang Wenwen, and I am the president of the student council."
Chen Yu sized up Jiang Wenwen; she exuded an air of scholarly refinement.
She greeted the senior student very politely and even exchanged contact information with her.
"Alright, you should go back now. Borrow your girlfriend for a bit. We're such good friends, it's like we've known each other forever."
"Then you should go back first, and go out for dinner tonight."
Chen Yu said goodbye to Shen Yan, and Jiang Wenwen took her arm and went upstairs.
She kept asking herself how she met Shen Yan.
Chen Yu was careful and didn't mention their family situation, only that her parents knew each other.
Jiang Wenwen nodded knowingly, escorted Chen Yu back to the dormitory entrance, and then slowly walked upstairs herself.
As Chen Yu watched her departing figure, for some reason, her sixth sense told her that this senior seemed to have ulterior motives towards Shen Yan.
On the surface, she seemed to like him very much, but her eyes never left Chen Yan.
Back in the dorm, Huang Xiaoni and Li Ke'er chatted excitedly, while Chen Yu stood between them, saying, "What are you talking about? Why aren't you telling me?"
"Hey, you're finally back! You know what? Jiang Yang texted me first!"
"Really? What did you say?"
Chen Yu immediately transformed into a gossip squad, excitedly waiting for Huang Xiaoni to feed her.
Huang Xiaoni shyly handed her phone to Chen Yu, and Jiang Yang asked her if she had returned to her dormitory.
"Ugh, I thought you guys were talking about something different."
Chen Yu glanced at them briefly; their conversation was stiff and awkward.
"Oh dear, this is just the beginning!"
Huang Xiaoni hesitated for a long time before replying to Jiang Yang's message. Li Ke'er looked at her happy face and said, "Another one's about to go crazy. Sigh, the wise don't fall in love, that's me~"
Chen Yu and Huang Xiaoni both clicked their tongues and turned back to their seats.
He immediately forgot about what happened to his senior.
Jiang Wenwen tentatively sent a message to Shen Yan, using Chen Yu as an excuse.
She kept emphasizing that she and Chen Yu could be good friends, so she asked Shen Yan if Chen Yu had any favorite foods that she wanted to eat with her.
Upon receiving the message, Shen Yan initially found it strange that her senior didn't ask Chen Yu herself.
But in the end, she brushed it off with her senior's excuse, saying she wanted to give Chen Yu a surprise.
Since the senior student is nice to Chen Yu, Shen Yan can't say anything. Perhaps the two can really become good friends.
Shen Yan listed all of Chen Yu's preferences, and the senior immediately praised Shen Yan, saying that he was such a thoughtful and good boyfriend. She said that it would be wonderful if she could find someone like Shen Yan.
She even used the excuse of asking Shen Yan if there was anyone like him she could introduce to her.
Shen Yan believed it to be true and asked Wang Qi and A Zhe about it.
After looking at the photos, only A Zhe could barely accept them; Wang Qi preferred the faces of internet celebrities.
Shen Yan actually helped make the connection.
The senior added A-Zhe and started chatting enthusiastically with him, no longer looking for Chen Yan.
When Chen Yu learned about this, she looked at the chat history that Shen Yan had screenshotted and couldn't help but become suspicious.
What exactly is this senior student trying to do?
Huang Xiaoni came closer and asked, "What's wrong? You've been staring at your bed for at least half an hour."
"Really? Has it really taken that long!?"
Chen Yu glanced at the time in shock, then glared at Huang Xiaoni. "You're messing with her again. You're really treating her like a Japanese."
"Haha, just kidding. I'll treat you to dinner with Ke'er tonight."
Li Ke'er smiled and hugged Huang Xiaoni's arm, "Can we have hot pot?"
"Can."
Huang Xiaoni waved her hand dismissively, saying that none of this was a problem.
Chen Yu's smile was bitter.
"If you can't laugh, then don't laugh. It looks ugly."
Li Ke'er pinched Chen Yu's cheek, pressing down the corners of her mouth that were curving upwards.
Chen Yu showed Li Ke'er and Huang Xiaoni the chat history between her senior and Shen Yan.
"She smells like green tea."
Li Ke'er's detective-like remarks.
"Are you sure? I feel perfectly normal."
Huang Xiaoni read it again and concluded that the senior student just wanted to be in a relationship, and that everyone around Shen Yan was probably like that.
"No, no, Chen Yu, do you think you'd be unhappy to see this chat history?"
"There is indeed a little."
To be honest, Chen Yu did feel something was off.
"That's it, she knows tea ceremony."
"What do you mean, Master Li?"
Huang Xiaoni and Chen Yu immediately sat up straight, eager to hear what Li Ke'er had to say.
Knock, knock, knock. The sound of knocking on the door interrupted Li Ke'er's half-finished sentence.
