Chapter 23 Serious Reconciliation 3

Chen Le was still a little dazed when he was woken up. He rubbed his face, got up and went upstairs. Chen Kang had already gone to call Chen Yu. "I called her. Just come and help me to Chen Yan."

Chen Le was still asleep. He obediently followed Chen Kang and helped Shen Yan downstairs. Li Ziyun had padded the chairs with soft cushions so that Shen Yan wouldn't be comfortable sitting on them.

Chen Yu glanced at her as she passed by, and Li Ziyun felt a little nervous. She was afraid that Chen Yu would be jealous if he saw her, but to her surprise, Chen Yu didn't say anything. He sat down in his seat, picked up his chopsticks, and started eating. She had just woken up and was really hungry. She had only eaten some fried food for lunch and hadn't eaten anything else.

He sat heavily and awkwardly in the chair, a spoon in front of him, and a bowl already filled with food.

The meal was eaten quietly, and no one mentioned the matter. Chen Kang and Chen Le would chat occasionally. After the meal, Chen Le left because he had to go back to the farm. He had heard from his neighbor that one of his sheep was sick.

She hesitated for a moment, then the doorbell rang again. Li Ziyun came out with a rag. "Who is it? Why don't you open the door, Yu Yu?"

"Yes, it's Wang Yue."

Chen Yu opened the door and met Wang Yue's gaze, whose eyes were red-rimmed. "Why are you here?"

"Yu Yu, are you alright..." Wang Yue's voice choked with emotion. She glanced at Chen Yu from head to toe. She had been genuinely scared that day; she was afraid something would happen to Chen Yu. She shouldn't have done that.

"I'm fine. Is there anything else you need?"

"I..."

Li Ziyun came out and looked at the two of them. "Why aren't you coming in? What are you two doing standing at the door?"

"Auntie." Wang Yue called out to Li Ziyun. Now it was Chen Yu's turn to have a headache. She braced herself and invited Wang Yue in. She led Wang Yue to sit down on the sofa. "What's the matter?"
