Chen Yu quickly turned her face away from Shen Yan and picked up her sun protection clothing to cover her head.
He fell asleep shortly afterward.
Chen Kang parked the car, and everyone in the car except him was asleep.
"Get up, we've arrived at our destination."
Chen Kang's shout woke up the three people in the car, though they were still a little dazed.
Chen Yu lifted the sun-protective clothing from her head and dazedly put it on; her throat was so dry it felt like it was about to explode.
"I want to drink water."
Where did these ducks come from?
Li Ziyun turned around in shock when she heard the voice, only to find that it was a sleepy-eyed Chen Yu. "Yu Yu, is that you speaking?"
Chen Yu nodded repeatedly. She hadn't expected her throat to be so dry when she woke up. Shen Yan took out a bottle of water from behind him and handed it to Chen Yu.
She immediately took it and drank it in large gulps.
"Drink slowly," Shen Yan kindly reminded her.
Chen Yu nodded as she drank. Chen Kang got out of the car, grabbed his things, and stood by waiting for them. Chen Yu put on her sun-protective clothing, slung her small backpack over her shoulder, and got out of the car.
It was the height of the sun, and Chen Yu regretted not applying sunscreen.
Under this blazing sun, she'll probably get a lot darker.
"Let's go. If you get tired along the way, take a break. No one is allowed to complain about wanting to go down the mountain."
Chen Kang was speaking to Chen Yu. In previous years, they had climbed other places, but halfway down, Chen Yu cried and insisted on going down, and in the end, Shen Yan carried her down.
Chen Yu's embarrassing memories immediately flooded back, and her face flushed instantly.
"I'm sure I can do it this time, let's go and stop dawdling!"
Chen Yu walked aggressively at the front, while Li Ziyun and Chen Kang laughed behind him.
At first, Chen Yu was full of energy, but the more she went on, the more tired she became, and her legs started to tremble uncontrollably.

Shen Yan turned around when he heard the sound and saw Chen Yu lying on the ground. He then turned and went down the stairs.
"What's wrong?"
"I think I twisted my ankle."
Tears still clung to Chen Yu's eyes. Shen Yan frowned, checked Chen Yu's ankle, and confirmed that it was indeed twisted.
Shen Yan helped Chen Yu up and squatted down in front of her. "Get on, I'll be quick."
Chen Yu placed her hand on him somewhat shyly, leaning against Shen Yan's back. He was indeed quite fast, and soon he was next to Chen Kang.
"Hmph, you say you can do it, but you still have your brother carry you."
"Uncle Kang, Chen Yu sprained her ankle."
Originally intending to mock Chen Yu, Chen Kang panicked upon hearing Shen Yan's words, "What? You sprained your ankle? How serious is it?"
He crouched down to check Chen Yu's feet, which were already a little red and swollen. Li Ziyun also climbed up, panting. She watched as Shen Yan carried Chen Yu on his back and walked desperately all the way, unable to call out to him.
"What's wrong?"
“Yu Yu twisted her ankle. Let’s go back the way we came and take her to the hospital.”
"Ah, then hurry up and go down."
Li Ziyun immediately regained his strength and followed Shen Yan down the mountain.
Chen Yu heard Chen Yan's heavy breathing and saw the thin layer of sweat on his forehead. She felt even more guilty towards him. She herself was not exactly light either. He... must be very tired.
Thinking of all the evil deeds he had committed against Shen Yan, Chen Yu felt even more guilty towards him.
Shen Yan carried Chen Yu down the mountain as fast as he could, and Chen Kang drove to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, the examination results showed that the condition was not serious, but she would have to rest at home for a while. Chen Yu scratched her head a little embarrassedly, "Mom and Dad, I'm sorry, I've caused trouble again."
"Hey, what are you saying, kid?" Li Ziyun gently patted Chen Yu's head.
"I'm so glad you're alright!"
Chen Kang glanced at the time and realized it was lunchtime, so he brought his whole family to the restaurant for a meal. He planned to go home after they finished eating, as Chen Yu was in a bad state and it wasn't appropriate for her to wander around outside.
The meal was quite good, but Chen Yu felt guilty. What was supposed to be a short break had turned into a long one, and she worried about how much she had fallen behind in her studies.
Back home, Chen Yu sat on the sofa looking dejected. Li Ziyun peeled an apple for her. "What's wrong? You look so preoccupied."
"Mom, I can't go to school now, so my studies will definitely fall behind."
Li Ziyun turned around to look at Chen Kang in surprise, but she quickly calmed down. "How about this, Mom will have a tutor come and give you lessons this afternoon."
"But I'm afraid that the pace of what the school teachers are teaching will be different, and I still won't understand it when I go back."
Chen Yu was indeed pondering a very big problem, which stumped both Chen Kang and Li Ziyun.
"I'll come back and teach you after you finish learning."
Suddenly, Shen Yan spoke up. Chen Yu looked at him incredulously, but her expression quickly changed to excitement. "Really?"
"Okay, I'll make another copy of the notes for you."
"Well... I'll buy you a gift as a thank you."
When Shen Yan heard the word "gift," his first reaction was that Chen Yu's gift must not be of good quality. However, he then thought about the changes in her over the past few days and wondered if he was overthinking it. He nodded hesitantly.
Chen Kang and Li Ziyun looked at the two with satisfaction, then turned and went upstairs.
"Oh, that's great. It seems Yu Yu has accepted Shen Yan."
