Chapter 40 Chess Mischief 2

"Okay, okay, I won't hit him anymore, just let go of him!"

In the end, Jiang Yang compromised, fearing that he might hurt Wang Yue if he didn't handle the situation properly.

"Who's fighting? Huh! Is it because you don't have enough homework?!"

Old Wang strode into the classroom in a menacing manner. As soon as he arrived at his workstation, a student came to inform him; it was a student from the next class who came to tell him.

Upon seeing Old Wang arrive, Shen Yan could only return to his seat.

"You guys are really something. Now I know what it means to be completely secretive. You didn't say a word when your classmates were arguing. It was someone from the next class who told me."

Old Wang slammed his hand on the table in anger. The most unruly student was in this class, and the most studious student was also in this class.

He summoned Shen Yan and Jiang Yang to his office.

"Tell me about the two of you, one the worst and one the best, you two people who have absolutely no connection, how could you possibly fight?"

Old Wang really couldn't understand it. He had already turned a blind eye to Shen Yan's behavior, but now Shen Yan had even started fighting with his classmates.

Seeing the two silent men, Old Wang was too lazy to bother them anymore. "Alright, alright, go and write me a guarantee, 1000 words each, and hand it in tomorrow morning."

"Yes, teacher."

Shen Yan was more polite; he said goodbye to Lao Wang before leaving, while Jiang Yang left without looking back.

Jiang Yang really didn't understand why Shen Yan was suddenly acting so strangely towards him. He opened his phone to complain, but then he saw Chen Yu asking in the group chat, so he made a call to him directly.

I complained to Chen Yu for ages, but I only stopped when the teacher caught me. They almost confiscated my phone.

Chen Yu sat in her chair, deep in thought. This was the first time she had ever heard of Shen Yan losing his temper. She quickly grasped the key point and began to think back carefully, but in her memory, nothing like this had ever happened before. Shen Yan had even been late that morning.

Could it be that tutoring her was too tiring, which is why she overslept?

Chen Yu felt increasingly uneasy and sent a private message to Jiang Yang, asking him if he had taken something from Shen Yan.

Jiang Yang was furious as he looked at the message; even Chen Yu didn't believe him anymore.

[Yang: Why would I take his things? Am I crazy?!]

[fish: That's not what I meant. Shen Yan probably lost something.]

[Yang: What does it have to do with me that he lost something? It's not like I went to his desk to take it.]

Jiang Yang angrily turned off his phone. Wang Yue, who sat at the table in front of him, was startled by the noise. "Young Master Jiang, are you alright?"

"I'm annoyed, go play somewhere else."

Wang Yue knew Jiang Yang was angry, so she didn't dare to provoke him. She told the teacher she was going to the toilet, but actually she was hiding in the toilet playing on her phone.

She sent a message to Chen Yu, who quickly replied, saying that she already knew.

[Moon: Do you think Shen Yan was still half-asleep this morning?]

[fish: I don't know, but what he lost must be very important.]

Wang Yue thought for a moment, considering what to say, when she heard the voices of two girls chatting outside the door. At first, Wang Yue didn't pay attention until she recognized the voices as belonging to Ma Qi.

"Wow, Qiqi, you're amazing! I heard Shen Yan and Jiang Yang got into a fight."

"Hmph, that's because they're not smart enough." Ma Qi was still smugly looking at his face in the mirror.

"But, Qiqi, do you think Jiang Yang deliberately hid the things?"

"I don't know, but I'm glad I achieved my goal."

Wang Yue listened angrily to Ma Qi's words, realizing that Ma Qi was the one who had sabotaged everything! Wang Yue took a quick deep breath, trying to calm herself down, afraid that she might rush out and hit Ma Qi later.

She quickly typed on the screen, telling Chen Yu everything she had heard.

"Damn it, that bitch!" Chen Yu slammed his fist on the table in anger, making a loud thud, then shook his hand in pain.

Wang Yue ran back to the classroom. Jiang Yang's face was still sour. As soon as get out of class ended, she pulled Jiang Yang out of the classroom.

Jiang Yang listened to what he had heard again, and finally remembered what he had found.

He subconsciously touched his pocket and found the chain was indeed there. "He won't be looking for this again, will he?"

Wang Yue looked at what was in his hand and slapped him on the shoulder. "So it really was you who took it! Damn, Jiang Yang, I really misjudged you!"

"No, hey, hey, hey, stop hitting me, listen to me first." Jiang Yang grabbed Wang Yue's hand that was slapping him wildly.

"I thought Ma Qi did it on purpose, but I didn't expect it really was you who took it!"

"No, listen to me, I did want to ask him this morning if it was his, but I fell asleep and forgot."

"You can forget this? What else can you remember?" Wang Yue looked at Jiang Yang angrily.

"Wait, how did Ma Qi know that?"

Jiang Yang frowned as he looked at the next class, and immediately spotted Ma Qi grinning.

"That's a good question, I don't know either." Following Jiang Yang's gaze, Wang Yue saw Ma Qi and was also furious.

Ring ring.

Wang Yue and Jiang Yang returned to the classroom. Jiang Yang pondered for a whole class period. This thing definitely had to be returned to Shen Yan, but Ma Qi also needed to be dealt with. She was really living too comfortably.

As soon as get out of class ended, Jiang Yang tapped on Chen Yan's desk and said, "Come out for a moment."

Shen Yan ignored Jiang Yang and focused on writing his self-criticism. Jiang Yang was a little angry after being ignored. "Do you want your things back?"

This time, Shen Yan raised his head. His eyes were fierce, almost scaring Jiang Yang. But Jiang Yang was not easily frightened, and he defiantly raised his head at Shen Yan.

Ignoring Shen Yan's reaction, he walked straight out of the classroom. Shen Yan put down his pen and followed him out.

Jiang Yang brought Shen Yan to the rooftop.

"Speak, what do you want?"

He looked at Jiang Yang with a serious and vigilant expression. He knew that Jiang Yang was no pushover; he was like chewing gum—once it stuck on, it was hard to get rid of.

"Is this important to you?" Jiang Yang took out the chain and waved it in front of him.

"Give it back to me." A rare hint of tension appeared on his usually stern face.

To his surprise, Jiang Yang handed him the chain directly. Shen Yan took the chain without saying a word and turned to leave.

"etc."

"Is there anything else?"

After thinking for a moment, Jiang Yang decided to explain to Shen Yan that he had found the item, rather than taking it on purpose.

"I understand, thank you..."

Jiang Yang was shocked. It was the first time he had heard Shen Yan say thank you to him. However, he still appeared cold and aloof on the surface.
