Just as she was about to let her guard down, the door suddenly made a banging noise. Chen Yu immediately sat up straight again. The wind outside the window was still howling, sounding like a baby crying.
She slowly moved to the doorway with her phone's flashlight on, only to find that the lock wasn't very tight and made a banging sound when the wind blew. Chen Yu breathed a sigh of relief and went back to bed. Why was there a power outage everywhere? She had gone to bed too early last night and had taken another nap before coming here, so she wasn't sleepy at all and could only keep playing on her phone to pass the time.
She flipped through her photo album, which contained many pictures of herself with Wang Yue and Jiang Yang. These were all cherished memories for her, though the poses in the photos looked a bit unconventional.
Chen Yu was engrossed in watching when her phone screen suddenly flickered, and then the entire room went dark. Her phone had completely run out of battery and shut down. Helpless, Chen Yu put down her phone. Now that even her phone was out of power, she didn't know what to do, so she simply closed her eyes and rested.
The wind was still howling outside the window. Chen Yan pinched the bridge of his nose. He couldn't continue studying tonight. He lay on the bed, intending to take a nap, when he heard the door open.
Shen Yan frowned, watching the slowly opening door. A dark figure appeared in the doorway. He slowly reached for the pillow behind him, just about to attack the figure, when he heard a familiar voice, "Shen Yan... are you asleep? It's too dark, I'm a little scared by myself." It was Chen Yu's voice. Shen Yan put down the pillow in his hand, "Not yet." Shen Yan turned on his phone's flashlight and shone it on Chen Yu.
"Can I stay here for a while?" Chen Yu asked nervously, her hands clenched into fists. There was always a bird perched on her windowsill, which would just stare at her through the window without making a sound. Although Chen Yu thought it was just taking shelter from the rain, she still felt that the bird's eyes were strange. After all, being stared at by a bird late at night made her a little trembling.
"Hmm." Chen Yan replied coldly to Chen Yu, unaware of what trick Chen Yu was planning to play on him this time.
Chen Yu sat awkwardly at the foot of the bed. Shen Yan ignored her and lay down to continue resting with his eyes closed. Chen Yu stole a glance at Shen Yan and found that he had his eyes closed. Only then did she dare to stare at his face. It was still that youthful and aloof face.
In her memory, Shen Yan was always expressionless, even when she bullied him, he remained the same; Shen Yan was too good at hiding his emotions.
She looked at the stern face and fell into memories.

Chen Yu went to a bar with her roommates for drinks. At that time, Chen Yu still disliked Shen Yan. Unexpectedly, she ran into him at the bar. Shen Yan and Ma Qi were at the next table. Chen Yu's face was not good all night. She had heard Jiang Yue say that Shen Yan was in a relationship, but she did not expect it to be Ma Qi. Chen Yu rolled her eyes countless times at the backs of the two.
"Yu Yu, how about we switch seats?" Chen Yu's roommate, Li Na, sensed that she was in a bad mood and thought that switching seats would help.
"No, I'm going to sit here and annoy them, so that if I'm unhappy, they won't be happy either."
Chen Yu has a very strong personality, partly due to Shen Yan's concessions. She always felt that Shen Yan was afraid of her and was inferior to her, and treated Shen Yan as a servant from beginning to end.
She spoke loudly, and both Shen Yan and Ma Qi heard her. Ma Qi's expression was also very bad, but she didn't dare to make a sound. Chen Yu's family was well-off, and if they really offended her, it was hard to say who would suffer. She cautiously looked at Shen Yan's expression, but his face was expressionless, as if he hadn't heard anything, and he was drinking his beer.

Shen Yan suddenly opened his eyes. He saw Chen Yu staring at him blankly for no reason. Was she thinking of another bad idea? Chen Yu snapped out of her reverie and before she could continue thinking, she saw Shen Yan looking at her. She was startled and immediately lowered her head. Luckily it was dark. She could clearly feel her face was very hot, probably as red as a monkey's bottom.
"You can lie down, I'll give you my spot." Shen Yan got up from the bed and pointed to the spot where he had just been lying. He knew Chen Yu wouldn't lie there, as she disliked things he had used. But Chen Yu's actions surprised him. Chen Yu obediently lay down in the spot where he had just been lying and even covered herself with a blanket.
Now it was Shen Yan's turn to be dumbfounded. He was somewhat incredulous. He had sensed that Chen Yu was acting strangely since yesterday. His intuition was usually right. He didn't think Chen Yu would suddenly change, but he was certain that Chen Yu was plotting something big to mess with him.
With her back to Shen Yan, Chen Yu fell asleep as she pondered her thoughts.
Chen Yan, unable to sleep, sat in his chair all night.
The next morning, the wind outside the window was just as strong as the night before, but the rain had lessened considerably. Chen Yu turned over and groggily opened his eyes, only to see Shen Yan sitting in a chair with his arms crossed and his eyes closed. Had he been sitting like that all night?
Chen Yu suddenly felt uneasy. He could have been sleeping peacefully, but she had taken over the bed, and she was indirectly tormenting Chen Yan...
She got up quietly, but still woke up Shen Yan, who was always a light sleeper.
"Shen Yan, I'm sorry you had to sleep on the chair. I'll go back now."
Chen Yu ran out of Shen Yan's room as if her life depended on it. She had only intended to stay there for a while, but she had unexpectedly fallen asleep. She slapped her forehead, realizing that she was more trouble than she was worth. She had been trying to make amends to Shen Yan, but every step she took only tormented him.
