Chapter 6

Chapter 6

"Lord Mukuro, are you sure you don't need me and the dog to go with you?"

Chigusa looked at Rokudo Mukuro with a worried expression. Although she knew that Lord Mukuro was very strong and could completely guarantee her safety, she was still worried about him. This had nothing to do with how strong the other party was.

Rokudo Mukuro stopped walking out, a helpless expression on his face: "Chikusa, you don't need to worry too much. I didn't plan to do anything, I was just scouting ahead."

He knew, of course, that Chigusa and Inu cared about him a lot, and were even somewhat dependent on him.

He brought them out of the laboratory, letting them see the sunshine, rain, and flowers again. Therefore, it's normal that they feel insecure and depend on him. However, life is long; they will eventually grow up, become independent, and take on their own responsibilities.

Rokudo Mukuro believed he was very good at raising children! Just look at Chrome, Fran, Chikusa, and Inu—they've all grown into capable, independent adults. He considered himself largely responsible for their success.

"You guys aren't without anything to do. Have you remembered everything I told you before?" Rokudo Mukuro needs their cooperation for what he's about to do.

"I've noted it all down." Chigusa pushed up his glasses. He was smart enough to know what Rokudo Mukuro wanted to do, and all he could do was cooperate.

"I...I'll finish memorizing it soon, I'll try my best!" The dog blushed and encouraged himself next to Rokudo Mukuro.

"Chikyu, you all stay here, don't worry about me. Kufufu... I'm just going to prepare the 'gift'."

Rokudo Mukuro left Rancha's house alone, using illusion magic to conceal his whereabouts.

In the dead of night, he arrived outside an exquisitely luxurious manor. Rokudo Mukuro gazed at the beautiful estate, inwardly marveling at its grandeur. He had always believed that all Mafia in the world were filthy and evil.

However, no matter what, the Italian Mafia is different from other places! Look at these luxurious residences, like aristocratic estates, and then look at the tight security outside, like a military stronghold.

It is on a completely different level from other organizations that resemble street thugs. It exudes a high-end and sophisticated atmosphere, but also reeks of a repulsive stench.

How can a family built on the bones of innocent children, women, and ordinary people possibly be stable? No matter how beautiful its exterior, its interior is rotten to the core.

A cold glint flashed in Rokudo Mukuro's lowered eyes. With a gentle swipe of his trident, Rokudo Mukuro's body slowly turned into a wisp of indigo smoke, which then vanished into thin air.

Relying on his illusionary techniques, which made him undetectable, Rokudo Mukuro swaggered openly past the heavily guarded area and entered. Despite being a Mafia family of considerable size, Rokudo Mukuro moved in and out as if no one were there.

His purpose in coming here was simple: to find evidence of this family's crimes. Even a Mafia family that engages in illegal activities has its limits.

For example, this family has not followed any of the rules that the Ninth Vongola Boss has explicitly prohibited, such as human trafficking and drug sales! They have done everything they should and shouldn't have done.

If the Mafia isn't arrested yet, are they just waiting for the New Year?

Rokudo Mukuro carefully observed the architectural structure and determined the approximate location of what he needed. He traveled unimpeded, and no one was able to spot him.

Rokudo Mukuro himself didn't know exactly where the things he needed were kept, but he knew that there was one place where the evidence he needed was definitely located: the head of this family's office!

The leader's office is the easiest place to find; it's the most heavily guarded area and therefore the most important place.

After finding the leader's office, there are still a series of problems, such as the need for a password lock, a device for palm print and iris scan verification, and finally, where to transfer this evidence.

Rokudo Mukuro didn't find any of this difficult. In his view, his illusions could deceive everyone and solve all his problems.

He's the world's number one illusionist!

The head of the family's office was very neatly arranged. Various documents were categorized and placed on the bookshelves, and unresolved family matters were also neatly placed on the desk. At a glance, one could tell that the head of the family was a meticulous, arrogant, and rather irresponsible person.

You should know that even the Vongola boss, the Mafia's godfather, still has to deal with family affairs before his sadistic tutor points a gun at him and forces him to fight desperately.

A quick comparison reveals that the head of this family isn't very capable. Wait, how can this person be compared to Sawada Tsunayoshi?

Rokudo Mukuro casually picked up a document and glanced at it, but little did he know that this casually picked-up document contained a lot of information.

He gently closed the document in his hand, looked around the office, and a smile appeared on his lips. Wasn't this evidence now in his hands?

...

Time quickly came to the day of the banquet.

"This outfit is really awkward to wear." The dog tugged at the little red bow tie around its neck with its small hand, its face full of impatience.

“But Inu looks really good in this outfit!” Rokudo Mukuro said with a smile as he looked at Inu.

Upon hearing Rokudo Mukuro's praise, Inuyasha paused in his tug at his bow tie. Instead of pulling it any further, he straightened and adjusted it before happily asking, "Does it really look good?"

Rokudo Mukuro looked at Inuyasha, who was staring at him with puppy-dog eyes. Inuyasha's golden hair hung wildly on his head, making his face look cute and adorable.

Who could resist a boy who looks at you with sparkling eyes and has endless admiration and respect for you?

“It looks great.” Rokudo Mukuro nodded again in affirmation.

The dog's eyes lit up even more, and he pounced on Rokudo Mukuro and Chikusa, exclaiming, "Mukuro-sama and Chikusa are so handsome! Especially Mukuro-sama, he's the most handsome!"

The three of them were dressed in the same clothes: shirts, vests, and bow ties, with shorts on their lower bodies. With their delicate little faces, who wouldn't be confused?

These clothes were specially prepared for them by Lancha.

The three of them were talking in a corner of the banquet hall.

"Lord Mukuro... Lancha, Lancha he..." Qianzhong asked hesitantly.

In Qianzhong's heart, the Mafia were indeed bad, but Lancha, who helped them and took them in, was indeed a good person.

“This Mafia family traffics people, especially children. This place should be completely destroyed.” Dog’s face was cold, but a hint of hesitation flashed in his eyes.

After thinking for a moment, Qianzhong could only nod silently.

Chigusa and Inu were sent to the laboratory when they were young. Rokudo Mukuro never asked how they got in, but judging from their attitude towards the family, he could guess the general idea.

How do you persuade a child who has experienced the hardships of life from a young age to do good? Rokudo Mukuro had only one requirement for Chikusa and Inu: to maintain their principles and adhere to their bottom line.

"Of course he'll be fine. Don't worry, I have my own plans," Rokudo Mukuro said to the two of them.

At the banquet, elegantly dressed ladies and gentlemen, holding wine glasses, smiled and socialized with everyone. Their smiles were warm, their conversation intimate, but who knew what ulterior motives they harbored?

Having attended various banquets in his previous life, Rokudo Mukuro was now very impatient with the banquet here; it was truly irritating.

…………

"Uncle, Mukuro-kun is missing." Chigusa quietly approached Lancha at the banquet, gently tugging at his sleeve, her tone filled with urgency and tension.

Although Lancha was at the banquet, she kept an eye on the three children she had brought with her, but who knew that one of them would be gone in such a short time.

Lancha followed Qianzhong to a corner and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong? How come Mukuro is missing?" Lancha wasn't too worried at first, thinking that there wouldn't be any danger at his family's banquet.

“We were playing hide-and-seek with some kids just now, and they ran inside. Mukuro-kun still hasn’t come out, and I’m scared.” Chigusa pointed to the door leading into the house.

Seeing the tension and worry written all over the two children's faces, Lancha could only comfort them, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, I'll go find him, you two stay here, okay?"

“Okay.” Chigusa and the dog nodded in agreement.

Watching Lancha walk into the manor, Chigusa and Inu both fell silent for a moment: "Alright, Inu, we still have things to do."

Not long after Lan Qia entered the manor, he noticed something was wrong. He had walked this road countless times and knew it by heart. How could he not know that walking this way would lead to the archives?

Looking at the door to the archives room, a flicker of wariness crossed Lancha's mind, but he still hesitated before opening it and stepping inside. He was the strongest member of the family, and if there were enemies, he would do everything in his power to protect the family! Besides, he didn't know if Hai was inside.

Taking all factors into account, taking the initiative is the best strategy.

Upon opening the door to the archives, Lancha found neither the enemy nor Rokudo Mukuro. The first thing she saw was a large table covered with documents and files. It seemed someone had deliberately arranged it this way to expose Lancha to them.

But Lancha ignored him and turned to leave. Right now, the most important thing for him was to catch the person who was causing trouble in his family. Someone who could sneak in unnoticed was definitely not an ordinary person! He didn't know if the other party was friend or foe, and there was no sign of Haijun. This made Lancha completely indifferent to the trap in front of him, whose purpose was unknown.

However, the person who started this didn't see it that way. The moment Lancha turned around, the door slammed shut, and no matter how Lancha tried to open it, it was no use; even if he forced it open, it was as if he couldn't touch the door.

At this point, Lancha knew perfectly well that the enemy was an illusionist.

Since the other party had no intention of harming anyone, she would temporarily comply with his wishes. Lan Qia wondered, did this person have a grudge against her or against her family?

Lanchai turned around again, went to the table, picked up the documents, and opened them. That one glance shattered the happiness and joy of his first half of life.
