Xu Xi felt the warmth in Chen Shuning's hand. She lowered her head slightly and her eyes fell on the two clasped hands.
She said to Chen Shuning, "I originally wanted to sort out the things I brought with me, but I didn't know where to put them, so I thought I would wait for you to come back and sort them out together, but I accidentally fell asleep."
Chen Shuning glanced at the bags of things next to the sofa, then looked at the time. It was already very late, and packing would have to wait until tomorrow.
"It's getting late now, and since tomorrow is the weekend, I don't have to work, so I'll clean up tomorrow. Have you eaten yet?"
"I've eaten." Xu Xi raised her eyes slightly. When Chen Shuning came back, the lights in the living room hadn't been fully turned on yet, so it was still a little dim. "I ate a little." Chen Shuning replied to Xu Xi calmly, but just as she finished her answer, her stomach began to rumble. The sound was neither too loud nor too soft, just loud enough for people to hear clearly. She didn't expect that she was just not in the mood to eat and wanted to spend the night casually, so she actually protested at this time. She pursed her lips in embarrassment and said, "Maybe I ate too little, so now I'm hungry again."
Xu Xi knew that Chen Shuning must not want her to worry, but things did not go as she wished. At this moment, Xu Xi felt really useless. The person she loved was hungry, but she didn't know how to cook. At this critical moment, if Chen Shuning wanted to eat, she would have to cook for herself.
Xu Xi blinked, feeling distressed and guilty. She quickly took out her mobile phone and opened the food delivery app while speaking.
"Let me order takeout for you. I can't cook, and it's late now, so you don't have to cook for yourself. What do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you."
Chen Shuning watched as Xu Xi, clearly a bit nervous and worried, lowered her head and diligently searched for delicious food on the app. A long-lost feeling of care slowly crept over her. She stared at Xu Xi's collarbone, smooth and white, and Chen Shuning couldn't help swallowing.

Xu Xi looked around on the food delivery app, unsure what to choose. She silently looked up and tried to ask Chen Shuning. "How about pickled fish? And a durian mille-feuille cake. What kind of fruit would you like? And a fruit salad."
Chen Shuning's mood had calmed down a bit. "There's still fruit in the refrigerator, so you don't need to order any. Everything else is as you say."
"Okay." Xu Xi lowered her head and quickly placed the order.
Seeing her busy placing a takeout order, Chen Shuning stood up and said softly, "I'll go cut some fruit."
Xu Xi raised her head and frowned slightly. She couldn't cook, but she could cut fruit. If she couldn't cook for the person she loved, she could at least cut some fruit. Xu Xi hurriedly said to Chen Shuning:
"Need not."
"Go take a shower first, and I'll cut the fruit. When you come out of the shower, the takeout should be here, and you can eat it right away."
Chen Shuning paused for a moment, and looked at Xu Xi who had lowered her head to continue ordering takeout. Her heart was already warm. She sighed softly, then sat down next to Xu Xi, slowly reached out her hand, gently lifted Xu Xi's chin, and made her look at herself. Although they had kissed several times, Xu Xi was still nervous, excited, and could not help wanting more. She subconsciously licked her lips that had been kissed, and her eyes fell on Chen Shuning's lips. She wanted to continue kissing, but her reason told her that it was time for Chen Shuning to take a shower, and she had to continue ordering takeout. She had not ordered the durian mille-feuille cake yet. Chen Shuning had not eaten yet, and she wanted to order takeout for her. Chen Shuning had to eat first and could not be hungry, otherwise she would be starving.
Xu Xi blinked, resisting the urge to continue kissing. After several seconds, she stammered, "You, go take a shower."

Chen Shuning went back to her room to get her pajamas and went into the bathroom to take a shower. Xu Xi ordered takeout and took out some fruit from the refrigerator to cut up.
After she finished cutting the fruit, the takeaway had not arrived yet, so Xu Xi sat on the sofa and played with her phone while waiting.
