Chapter 111 Springtime Revealed

Xie Lingqin looked at the Crown Prince a few steps away with a very bad expression.

“I saved you, and instead of thanking me, you shouldn’t be looking at me like that.”

The Crown Prince spoke first.

A black robe made his delicate eyebrows appear even darker and his eyes even more profound.

Xie Lingqin snorted inwardly, but smiled and remained calm. She gave a proper bow and said, "Yes, thank you for your help, Your Highness. I am very grateful. However, considering that Your Highness is so kind and benevolent that you even helped the philandering, shameless, and despicable Li Junru, I will not ask you to repay any favors."

"Xie Lingqin, can't you speak properly?"

"Hmm?" Xie Lingqin raised an eyebrow, puzzled. "Your Highness, did I not speak properly?"

Yuwen Xian's phoenix eyes were deep, with beams of light flickering like turbulent waves, making one feel a chill run down their spine.

Xie Lingqin is not afraid.

What is she afraid of?

She only has three months to live anyway. What else could someone who isn't afraid of death have to fear?

"Xie Lingqin, I have already informed Father Emperor about the matter of the Seventh Princess and Li Junru. A decree will arrive later, and it will certainly not disappoint you."

"Is it to make Li Junru die without a burial place?" Xie Lingqin followed up.

The crown prince remained silent, but it was clearly not as she had said.

Xie Lingqin's lips curled slightly, her voice sarcastic, "No, then why say you won't disappoint me?"

"Xie Lingqin, is this the tone you use when you speak to me?"

"Then what tone do you think I should use? I was polite and proper just now, but you didn't accept it. Now that I'm not using honorifics, you're not comfortable with that either. This is really hard to compromise. Of course, you love what I love and hate what I hate. If you dislike me, you'll naturally see only bad things about me."

Xie Lingqin spoke each word without the slightest hint of politeness.

Yuwen Yao's face was very dark and gloomy, his phoenix eyes fixed on Xie Lingqin, unwavering for a moment.

Xie Lingqin greeted them calmly.

"When did I ever say I hated you?" The prince's voice suddenly turned somewhat deep.

"That was to use me, but now it seems I have no use for you." Xie Lingqin sighed after speaking, "If Your Highness has nothing else to say, I will take my leave."

Yuwen Yao remained standing there, his eyes seemingly reflecting the light of mountains and rivers, deep and unfathomable, without uttering a word.

Xie Lingqin was also quite annoyed, standing there like a mountain, as if no one was really afraid of her.

Xie Lingqin, of course, wouldn't go through the main entrance, but instead headed towards the window.

Even if she was wearing a hood, it would be strange if she went out from the third floor, let alone now that the hood is gone.

The only option is... to jump out of the window.

"Come back," the crown prince said coldly.

"If Your Highness has something to say, please do so. I have other matters to attend to." Xie Lingqin was replying, but her body didn't shift at all; instead, she was still trying to figure out the best way to get down from the window.

“Li Qingyu…” Yuwen Xian hesitated for a moment, but then turned around.

A ray of sunlight slipped in through the window, and he stood almost against the light. Although his aura was slightly cold, his features suddenly seemed gentle. His eyebrows, lips, and nose were as beautiful as a scene from a painting.

Xie Lingqin was stunned by such beauty. Something in her heart suddenly made her jump hard, a jump that felt empty and unsteady. It was as if a string in her brain made Xie Lingqin's whole body tense up for a moment.

"Li Qingyu came to beg me, begging me to spare Li Junru's life, but..."

"You're trying to say it's a coincidence, right? It just so happens that the Emperor's decree and Miss Li's wishes lead to the same conclusion, isn't that right?"

Before the Crown Prince could finish speaking, Xie Lingqin sneered.

So that's what you meant, huh!

"Xie Lingqin, you... are truly... incredibly foolish." Yuwen Yao was clearly furious; his face was as black as soot, and his eyes could have tortured someone to death.

Xie Lingqin also lost her temper, "You're the one who's incredibly stupid."

As soon as she finished speaking, Xie Lingqin quickly swallowed.

Even if she was extremely resentful and argued with the Crown Prince, she had a plan. She would only show resentment and unwillingness, but she wouldn't actually scold the Crown Prince...

They also said that the crown prince was incredibly foolish.

Although he had cursed the Crown Prince countless times in his heart, saying it aloud, especially to his face, made a difference.

She... is still afraid of dying, okay?

Inside, the atmosphere was deathly silent.

"Xie Lingqin!"

"Your Highness, I did nothing wrong." Xie Lingqin gritted her teeth, though her aura was actually quite weak.

"Come out with me."

The crown prince turned around abruptly, his tone as cold as ice.

Xie Lingqin was stunned for a moment, then said, "Your Highness, if I leave now, all your efforts to save me will have been in vain."

Seeing Xie Lingqin's weak appearance, the Crown Prince's dark expression seemed to lessen, and a meaningful look appeared on his lips. "Just now, Tingyu took your place. Now, who will go out with me?"

"But Tingyu and I don't look alike."

That's the truth.

Unexpectedly, Yuwen Yao glanced at her, walked over, and ruffled Xie Lingqin's hair.

Her black hair cascaded down like a waterfall, making her newly formed face even more delicate and petite.

"Go inside, there are clothes inside."

Yuwen Yao's eyelashes fluttered, and he pointed towards the inner room.

Xie Lingqin wanted to be principled, but under that powerful aura, she swallowed hard, and could only grit her teeth.

"Okay, I'll change."

Xie Lingqin entered the inner room, and there was indeed another black dress hanging on a screen. Although it looked like it matched Tingyu's style of dress, it was obviously new.

Xie Lingqin took a deep breath before loosening her belt and taking off her clothes...

Huh!

There are windows in the inner room too...

Xie Lingqin turned around and glanced outside. Through the screen, the view outside was blurry and she couldn't see anything clearly.
