Chapter 6 Love Requires Caution

What does it mean to kiss someone so hard they can't breathe?

Xie Lingqin truly understood.

And this so-called kiss that Yuwen Yao mentioned.

That's a lot of overlapping kisses.

After finally managing to push Yuwen Yao away, Xie Lingqin felt as if her whole body was filled with Yuwen Yao's scent, and her breath was almost being swallowed up.

Yuwen Yao was clearly still not satisfied, so he picked Xie Lingqin up and carried her to the inner room.

Destination – Bed.

Xie Lingqin became alert.

No, it's dangerous to go to bed with her.

Be cautious when dating.

He immediately stretched out his arm and grabbed the soft couch next to him.

One would have thought that, according to normal thinking, Yuwen Yao would have stopped what he was doing and looked at her.

result.

Yuwen Yao suddenly picked her up, turned her around, and rolled her onto the soft couch.

He smoothly leaned down, his phoenix eyes slightly raised, a smile on his face, and said in a low, husky voice, "So you like soft couches. It's alright, I'll make do with you."

"Yuwen Yao, when did I ever say I liked soft couches? If you keep kissing me like this, I won't be able to go out and see anyone tomorrow. I still have to investigate cases, and I'm exhausted."

"It's okay, I'll kiss you gently so you don't get tired."

I'm tired!

"You didn't even exert any effort, why are you tired?"

"I……"

Xie Lingqin closed her eyes; she was so tired.

I'm so tired!

"I want to learn martial arts! Didn't you say you would teach me martial arts?"

After Xie Lingqin finished speaking, she felt relieved, thinking that she had found a perfect reason.

result.

"If you're going to practice martial arts, you should first get your body in good shape."

A passionate kiss followed, hot breaths mingling, faces flushed, clothes rustling – all reflecting the burgeoning, ambiguous emotions within them.

Xie Lingqin wasn't exactly a good recommender either. So smug, huh? Fine, I'll take the initiative.

With such beauty before her, she naturally wouldn't let it pass her by.

The moonlight shifted, and its rays fell.

However, the physical strength between men and women made Xie Lingqin admit defeat, panting heavily and blushing.

"Come on, I'll teach you martial arts now."

Yuwen Yao's breathing was extremely steady. Apart from the alluring look in his phoenix eyes, which were filled with a hazy, dreamy quality, he was neither red-faced nor out of breath. He simply picked her up and leaped out of the window.

The autumn wind swept by, but it wasn't cold.

Because Yuwen Yao had already used his sleeve to shield her from view.

However, Xie Lingqin bit her lip. She didn't really want to practice martial arts anymore. She was tired of kissing and wanted to rest.

So when she arrived at the cliff edge, Xie Lingqin had no interest in anything. Until she saw Yuwen Yao, who had been standing there just moments before, suddenly turn and leap off the cliff, her expression changed drastically, and she rushed over in a flash.

“Yuwen…”

Before he finished speaking, Yuwen Yao was seen standing suspended in mid-air below the cliff, one hand gently clinging to a vine that had grown out of the cliff.

The echo carried back Xie Lingqin's words.

Xie Lingqin breathed a sigh of relief, but her face immediately turned angry. "Come up here! Next time you jump off a cliff, can you at least tell me first? I thought you were having some kind of mental breakdown and wanted to die in front of me."

"I have you, why should I die? If you die, who will love you like I do?" As Yuwen Yao spoke, he turned his posture and stood lightly in front of Xie Lingqin.

Xie Lingqin was both incredibly hateful and incredibly happy.

"I did that just now to show you that good lightness skill, combined with good internal strength, can make it easy to climb without falling."

Upon hearing this, Xie Lingqin's expression turned serious. "But didn't you tell me before that it's too late for me to learn internal energy now, and that I should just make the most of what I'm good at?"

Yuwen Yao nodded, raised his hand and tapped Xie Lingqin's head, his face full of smiles and joy. "That's right. So, just like when I was holding onto the vine, quick hands and agile reflexes can save your life in a split second when you encounter a crisis."

Xie Lingqin listened with interest, "So, you mean..."

“Ming Lan’s martial arts are good, and his methods are effective, but they are still lacking for you.”

Upon hearing this, Xie Lingqin's eyes narrowed. "Yuwen Yao, you were eavesdropping on me and secretly investigating me."

Yuwen Yao glanced at her slowly and gently, "What if you don't keep a good eye on your own wife and she gets kidnapped?"

"Would I be so indecisive?"

“Although Minglan isn’t as good-looking as me, what if you lose your mind?” Yuwen Yao added, a glint of light flashing in his eyes as he looked at Xie Lingqin.

Xie Lingqin...

Is this... sweet talk or self-praise?

Yuwen Yao's smile faded slightly, and he pointed to the cliff in front of him, "Jump."

"Jump?"

Xie Lingqin was still dazed and hadn't reacted yet when Yuwen Yao raised his hand, his brocade sleeve fluttering. The moonlight, like water, reflected his snow-white eyebrows, and he had never been so focused.

Everything was moving very fast, yet everything that came into view seemed to be in slow motion.

Xie Lingqin's mind remained blank until the moment she was pushed off the cliff.

Only one thought crossed my mind: Could this be how I'm going to die? Of course not.

With her eyes wide open and under immense pressure, Xie Ling's eyes sparkled with brilliance. She reached out with her bare hands and immediately felt something soft and warm. Then, her waist tightened around her.

Upon closer inspection, Yuwen Yao's face appeared amidst the thick fog shrouding the cliff.

"Too slow."

Upon hearing Yuwen Yao utter these words, Xie Lingqin felt her body floating upwards. In an instant, the feeling of weightlessness disappeared, and she was standing on the cliff top where the weeds had been just moments before.

Yuwen Yao then released his grip on her waist, frowning as he stared at her, somewhat displeased. "Too slow."
