"Meow." A cat meowed.
"Miss, there's no one here. Let's clean up first..."
"Slap." Before the maid could finish speaking, she was stunned by a slap across the face.
"You can't even look after a cat, why aren't you helping me back to my room?" Xie Lingyu scolded after beating the maid.
"Yes." The maid answered reluctantly, and helped Xie Lingyu toward a guest room.
Xie Lingyu did not believe that Xie Lingqin was responsible for this. Given Xie Lingqin's cowardice, even if she ran away, she would definitely be caught and brought back. She would never dare to hurt her.
Inside the guest room, the old woman was still calling for people to search for someone. Upon hearing that Xie Lingyu had been scratched by a cat, she immediately panicked and rushed over.
