Although the gray wolf was still mocking Lang Heng, Lang Heng could see that it was just a spent force. The few attacks it had just endured made it unable to be arrogant anymore.
Lang Heng redirected his internal energy and, ignoring his injured meridians, delivered a powerful blow to the gray wolf, killing it with one blow and sending it flying.
"Who made you think you have the right to touch my people?"
The gray wolf died with his eyes wide open in anger, and he was no longer breathing.
Xu Nuo didn't go far, but found a secluded cave nearby to hide in. He was worried about his lover, and even though he knew he was the lucky child of the world and his life was safe, he couldn't help but feel anxious.
After hearing the fighting outside subside, Xu Nuo cautiously stuck his head out and ran towards where he had just been.
On the other side, Lang Heng also came over, smelling Xu Nuo's scent.
Xu Nuo spotted the familiar black wolf coming from a distance and rushed over. The black wolf's once glossy fur was now tangled with blood and had several horrific scars on its body.
"Lang Heng! What's wrong with you?" Xu Nuo ran over and supported the black wolf's huge body.
Black Wolf spit out a mouthful of blood as if he couldn't hold on any longer. "Aren't you afraid of me? I'm a demon."
"Don't be afraid, you just saved me."
Lang Heng muttered, "You are a monster after all." Xu Nuo didn't hear clearly.
Lang Heng and Xu Nuo supported each other and returned to the cave. It was already dark, and there were occasional animal calls around.
"What should we do about your injury? Should we stay in the cave tonight?" Xu Nuo asked him worriedly.
Lang Heng had just finished sending a message to the wolves in the tribe when he heard this young man, who usually had no emotional ups and downs, ask him with an anxious expression.
Lang Heng was intrigued. "I heard leaves can be used as disinfectants. I wonder if they'll work on wolves."
When Xu Nuo heard this, he immediately rushed out to pick the leaves, "Wait, I'll be there soon."
"Come back, just kidding. I can heal myself." Lang Heng stretched out his claws and pulled him back.
Xu Nuo glared at him, but seeing the scars of all sizes on his body, he couldn't bear to blame him. He could only sit down beside him and touch his head like he was touching a capybara.
Lang Heng stiffened, mentally resenting his dog-stroking technique, but his body relaxed honestly, wagging his tail. Xu Nuo only caressed him intermittently.
"Ding! Heartbeat value is sixty!"
"Aren't you afraid?" Lang Heng asked. This was the second time he asked.
Xu Nuo shook his head and said, "I'm not afraid." His lover was by his side, so he was not afraid no matter what happened.
Lang Heng snorted, "Why do all you capybaras look so weird?"
Xu Nuo didn’t understand what he meant by “you capybaras”. He probably meant that his personality was like a capybara. Xu Nuo just said “hmm” casually.
A full moon hung high in the night sky, casting its gentle light upon the two of them. Xu Nuo had fallen asleep without knowing when, burying his head in Lang Heng's fluffy fur. Lang Heng glanced awkwardly at the little capybara's sleeping face, and never looked away.
"Ding! Heart rate 65!"
