Chapter 27 World Three: Dual Cultivation

Xu Nuo spent a leisurely day in Lang Heng's tribe. Lang Xi would occasionally bring him some wild strawberries. The wild strawberries were small and not very sweet, but their unique fragrance still fascinated Xu Nuo. Occasionally, a few brave little wolves would imitate Lang Xi's behavior and come over, whining and begging for a pet. Lang Heng would then put on a stern face, afraid that the young people around him would not know that he was angry.

Xu Nuo saw it but pretended not to notice; the furry, warm bodies of the wolf cubs were too attractive to him. Occasionally, a few adult giant wolves would approach, only to greet them respectfully with a "Grandfather, Madam." The strict hierarchy of the wolf pack was fully reflected in the adult wolves.

Xu Nuo originally thought that there would be wolves with unfriendly attitudes, but gradually he found that he had no need to worry at all. The wolves were friendly but distant, always keeping a suitable distance. Perhaps it was due to the different natures of humans and demons, but due to Lang Heng's majesty, except for the little wolf cubs, they especially liked to stick to Xu Nuo. Even Lang Heng couldn't always have a cold face and sat aside helplessly.

Xu Nuo ultimately decided not to stay in the cave with Lang Heng, touching his ears. The next day was his turn at the zoo, and he had to rush back. Xu Nuo had assumed it would take some effort to escape the deep forest, perhaps even requiring the still-unhealed Lang Heng to carry him down the mountain. But then he saw Lang Heng calmly form a spell, and a glowing magic circle appeared out of thin air beneath their feet.

"If you're scared, just hug me." Lang Heng said this, but his arms took the initiative to hold Xu Nuo.

Xu Nuo put his arm around his waist as he wished, and after a feeling of weightlessness, the two returned to Xu Nuo's small apartment.

"Is this your magic?" Xu Nuo asked the man who was holding him in a daze.

Lang Heng hummed in a reserved manner, "Transferring is easy for me."

"Then why did you insist on carrying me back to your territory before?" Xu Nuo blinked and asked again.

Lang Heng's proud expression froze for a moment. He just subconsciously wanted to carry the sweet and soft young man on his back at that time. There was no need for so many reasons.

"At that time, my old injury relapsed and I didn't have the energy to cast spells."

Lang Heng's words were full of loopholes, but Xu Nuo believed them without a doubt.

"Are you okay now? You're still injured and you cast a spell..."

The usually expressionless boy suddenly showed a worried expression. Lang Heng was pleased, but pretended to be embarrassed.

"Course casting does affect healing, but I can hold on. Nono, don't worry."

After hearing what he said, Xu Nuo couldn't help but worry. He could only ask him, "How can I get better quickly? Will human medicine work for you?"

Lang Heng shook his head, and then spoke again, as if he was having difficulty speaking, "Dual cultivation is the best way to heal the body, but... I won't use it, don't worry."

Xu Nuo frowned and thought seriously, "Can I also practice dual cultivation with you?"

The emotionally stable 666 still couldn't help but shout in Xu Nuo's mind, "Nuo Nuo! Don't believe him! He is obviously just greedy--" The rest of the words were automatically muted.

Xu Nuo ignored him, only staring at Lang Heng with worry. Lang Heng was defeated by his gaze. Dual cultivation was certainly beneficial to repairing the meridians and internal strength, but a powerful demon of his level could also achieve the same goal through self-cultivation. He just wanted his little fool wife to open up her mind sooner.

"It's okay, Nuonuo, I can heal my injuries by practicing on my own." Lang Hengxu felt the condemnation of his wolf heart in his clear gaze and couldn't help but tell the truth.

"No! If I can help you, you don't have to practice so hard!" Xu Nuo was determined and refused to give in. The little lamb took the initiative to put himself in the mouth of the hungry wolf. "Or... can't I?"

How could Lang Heng resist this? No matter what Xu Nuo said, he would be the first to agree. There was no question of yes or no, not to mention that the lover in front of him still insisted on practicing dual cultivation with him.

"Okay, but Nuonuo..." Lang Heng was still planning to give this little idiot a chance to regret it. They had only been in a relationship for two days. He would rather suppress his feelings than let Xu Nuo regret it in the future.

"No buts... As long as it's you, anything is possible..." Xu Nuo buried herself in his arms, her voice muffled.

How many times had he said this? He himself couldn't quite remember. To Long Qi, to Situ Shuo, to Lang Heng, and to his lover in the next world, as long as it was you, anything was possible...

At night, Lang Heng tried to speak several times but was blocked by Xu Nuo. He simply began to enjoy his lover's initiative and even enjoyed it in the end.

Every time Xu Nuo tried to escape, the man would pull her back by her ankle, claiming they hadn't completed their dual cultivation. The vicious wolf demon finally got what he wanted, seeing the usually dazed little girl crying and begging him.

Xu Nuo fell into a deep sleep only when the night sky was about to show signs of sunrise. His pitiful little face was covered with tears. Lang Heng was like a male beast staking out his territory, wishing to smear his scent all over Xu Nuo. However, Xu Nuo hummed in dissatisfaction in his sleep, and could only give up unwillingly, hugging his lover to make love together.
