Chapter 55 World Five: Heartacheshuhaige.net

Apart from the morning incident, today was relatively peaceful. Xu Nuo looked at the wall clock. It was a quarter past five. He only had fifteen minutes left to go to work at the food stall.

Xu Nuo packed his bag, slung it over his shoulder, and prepared to rush out as soon as school was over. Luo Jiming kept looking at him, even unabashedly resting his arm on the table, tilting his head and looking at him. Fortunately, Old Song was at the podium, looking down at his lesson plan, otherwise the two of them would have been criticized again.

"Is there anything wrong?" Xu Nuo couldn't help but tore a piece of straw paper, wrote these words on it, and stuffed it into Luo Jiming's desk.

Luo Jiming opened the paper with a look of interest. The boy's handwriting was just like his personality, with a line of small characters written in beautiful and neat strokes. Luo Jiming did not continue writing, but folded the paper and put it in his pocket. Instead, he leaned over and whispered in Xu Nuo's ear.

"You do your thing, and I'll watch mine."

Xu Nuo felt a tingling sensation in his ears, so he had to cover his mouth to prevent himself from laughing out loud. He turned around and mouthed to him, "Stop looking at me."

Perhaps it was the day's interactions that made him feel more confident. Xu Nuo knew that Luo Jiming would not bully him, but would be nice to him instead. Rabbit became bolder and dared to make requests.

"After school..." Before Luo Jiming could finish his words, the school bell rang. Xu Nuo immediately stood up and pretended to rush out.

"Can you please make way for me, Luo Jiming? I'm in a hurry."

Luo Jiming didn't react and subconsciously made way for the rabbit. The rabbit immediately ran away, leaving Luo Jiming to say the words he had just finished, "Do you want to walk together after school?"

Xu Nuo hurriedly ran to the food stall before work. The boss was preparing the dishes. Seeing him, he grinned, "Xiao Xu is here! You didn't wear glasses today...! Wow! You are so handsome!"

Xu Nuo lowered his head embarrassedly and ran to his own sink to start washing the dishes.

As night falls and the lights come on, the city falls into a new round of carnival.

"Xiao Xu? Go serve the food to that table of guests." The boss shouted.

Xu Nuo bit his lip, picked up the crayfish that the boss had just fried, walked over, and placed it on the table. The guests at the table were several young girls. When they saw his face, they all raised their eyebrows and winked at him tacitly. Finally, the girl who looked the most generous grabbed Xu Nuo who was about to leave.

"Little brother, can you leave me your WeChat?"

The remaining girls burst into laughter. Xu Nuo had never dealt with such a situation before, and he shook his head with a flushed face, "I... no, sorry, sir."

The girl tutted her words, clearly not intending to let him go. "Don't lie, everyone has WeChat these days."

The boss noticed this, wiped his hands, and came over to smooth things over with a smile, "Beauty, this kid is here to help, and he's still studying."

The girl was stunned for a moment, then she let go of his hand awkwardly. "Sorry, little brother, I didn't know you were underage..." She felt a little embarrassed at the end. Xu Nuo replied softly, "It's okay," and went back to the kitchen.

Luo Jiming and Juanmao were wandering aimlessly on the street. Juanmao kept chattering away. Luo Jiming rarely asked him to shut up. Instead, he took out a piece of paper from his pocket and read it over and over again.

"Boss, what is that? Let me take a look." Curly was quick-eyed and was about to reach out to take it.

Luo Jiming raised one eyebrow, and the broken eyebrow made his three-dimensional and deep face look even more wild. "Watch out for your nasty claws."

Curly whimpered twice, and Qi Yu rubbed his furry head soothingly, but his eyes turned to Luo Jiming, "Promised?"

Luo Jiming hissed, "You have a really weird brain."

Curly looked at Qi Yu and then at Luo Jiming who was holding the note like a treasure, as if he was thinking about something.

A group of girls came towards us, chattering and laughing. One girl said, "That little waiter at the food stall was so cute. It's a pity he's underage."

Another girl laughed, "I was wondering why he was wearing something wrong. He looked like he was wearing the No. 1 Middle School uniform pants."

Curly Hair perked up again, "What handsome little guy? Let's go and take a look."

Luo Jiming ignored him, "Why? There's a fairy waiting for you in a food stall?"

Curly, accustomed to his usual foul-mouthed remarks, walked towards the food stall over there without stopping. A familiar little figure appeared in his sight.

"Damn! Isn't this your deskmate?" Curly blurted out.

Luo Jiming, who had just been carelessly fiddling with the small note, suddenly looked up. Wasn't the person squatting by the sink washing dishes his angelic little classmate?

Luo Jiming put the note back into his pocket and strode over.

"Xu Nuo! Why are you here?" Luo Jiming asked while thinking of hundreds of possibilities, from Xu Nuo being exploited by his incompetent parents to Xu Nuo being deceived into a pyramid scheme organization to sell his labor. Luo Jiming even thought of calling his bodyguards to find a way out for Xu Nuo. Then he saw the young man wipe the sweat from his face and stood up embarrassedly.

"Luo Jiming, I'm here, working."

Luo Jiming didn't ask why he didn't enjoy the love of his parents like other people at his age, but had to come and work washing dishes after school. He just felt sorry for him. No wonder he was so thin, as if he could be blown away by a gust of wind, and no wonder he was reluctant to eat breakfast.

Luo Jiming was born without any sympathy, but now for the first time he hopes to share everything he has with Xu Nuo and hopes that Xu Nuo can live a happy life.
