Chapter 90 World 8: Plot Advancement

Li Yao, who was jealous but unaware of it, sat there sulking the entire afternoon. Although his expression remained the same, Xu Nuo could inexplicably tell that he was angry.

"Li Yao...? Are you okay?"

Li Yao didn't even raise his head. He was conflicted by the fact that the young master treated others the same way as he did, but he also felt that it was inexplicable. So he simply ignored everyone and looked at them.

Xu Nuo pursed his lips and then shrank back to his original position.

Students are not forced to attend evening self-study in this high school. Since it is voluntary, Xu Nuo naturally will not go. At five o'clock, a group of rich second-generations walk out of the school in groups. Logically, an excellent student like Li Yao should stay for evening self-study, but for some reason Li Yao also leaves school at five o'clock like them.

Xu Nuo's mind was completely on the comfortable big bed and gaming phone at home. Anyway, the plot hadn't come yet, and his lover shouldn't act awkwardly like a primary school kid. It would be better to just rush home and feel comfortable.

The light backpack that only contained a puppy was slung loosely on his back. Xu Nuo ran happily as fast as he could. The driver who came to pick him up had already appeared in his sight. The just-behaved 666 suddenly became agitated.

"Nono! Don't leave yet! The hero is in danger!"

The boy braked suddenly and stopped, a look of anxiety on his face. "What's going on?"

"Your...brothers are here to stop the hero, to avenge you."

The young master, who had just been standing there, stomped his feet in frustration and turned around to run towards the school.

As soon as Li Yao walked out of the classroom, he felt several unignorable gazes behind him, probably from the flies surrounding the young master.

Just as he was about to step onto the stairs, he paused and turned to walk towards the remote equipment room.

Sure enough, the footsteps behind him were getting closer, and they didn't even bother to hide it, as if they were sure that he would be beaten up by them.

A push came from behind, and Li Yao was obediently pushed into the equipment room. When he turned around, he saw those annoying faces.

"Poor bastard, stay away from him from now on."

"Go change seats, you hear me?"

Li Yao had his head down, looking calm, but he actually shook his hands behind his back in a relaxed manner, preparing to stretch his muscles after a long time.

Those young men were still stupid enough to move forward, some of them were already raising their fists eagerly. Just before Li Yao was about to throw a punch, the door of the equipment room was pushed open with a "bang", and the young master who had just walked away was standing at the door against the light.

"Don't bully Li Yao!"

Li Yao lost all his strength the second he saw him, without even dodging, and threw a punch that hit the corner of his lips. Li Yao's head tilted to the side by the force, but his eyes were closely following the young man at the door.

The equipment room was very dusty. The wind that had just blown up the door had lifted up all the dust in the room. In the warm light of the setting sun, the dust turned into sequins and smoke, setting off Xu Nuo who appeared in the middle like a little prince.

The few people who were showing off their power just now were dumbfounded. They looked at Xu Nuo and then at Li Yao blankly. Li Yao fell to the ground with a groan. The little brother No. 1 who hit him looked at his hand in a daze. He remembered that he did not have enough strength to knock down the tall and strong Li Yao with one punch.

"Li Yao!"

Xu Nuo ran over with a worried look on his face. There were obvious scratches on the corners of Li Yao's lips, and even some skin was broken, which looked scary.

The spoiled young master rarely saw such violence, let alone it was caused by him, so he soon burst into tears.

"I'm sorry... Wu Liyao." The delicate little hand gently touched the wound at the corner of Li Yao's lip, and then bounced away as if it was burned. "Does it hurt? I'll take you to the infirmary."

Those teenagers knew they were in the wrong, but they were used to being domineering, and admitting their mistakes was not in their vocabulary.

"Li Yao! Keep pretending!"

Li Yao raised the corner of his lips for no reason, and relying on Xu Nuo to turn his head away so that he couldn't see, he protested towards them in a provocative manner.

"Go away! Don't bully Li Yao! All of you go away!" The young master's eyes were as clear and transparent as if they had been washed with water. At this moment, his eye circles were red. He yelled loudly at those brainless idiots, and Li Yao was even more satisfied.

The faces of the young men who were scolded by Xu Nuo instantly turned ugly. They just glared at Li Yao angrily and left.

Li Yao propped himself up and sat up. He was clearly only hit by a punch, but now he felt as weak as if he was paralyzed. Fortunately, the young master was a fool and had no doubt about it.

"Wow...it's all my fault. I'll take you home. I have a doctor at home."

"No, I can handle it myself."

A big hand with distinct joints stroked the wound at the corner of his lip, and he let out an uncontrollable hiss. Xu Nuo felt even more distressed, and he threw the question of whether the young master was real or fake out of his mind. Only the 666 in his schoolbag was left barking desperately outside the door.

He looked so pitiful that he would never be willing to spend money on medicine. He would probably just put a Band-Aid on him and call it a day.

"No, come home with me."

The young master was firm in his attitude and half pushed and half pulled him into the Xu family's car.

"Baby is back?" Mother Xu was fiddling with flowers in the garden in her skirt. She came out to greet him as soon as he called her, but she froze in place the moment she saw Li Yao.

Xu Nuo didn't think too much about it. He just wanted to find a doctor. "Mom, my classmate is injured. Call a doctor!"

The woman finally woke up from her dream and smiled again, "Mom can also treat this kind of wound. Come in first, children." But her eyes were still vaguely on Li Yao.

The reason is simple. Xu's mother has a quarter of Russian ancestry. Although it cannot be seen too much, her overall facial features are three-dimensional and beautiful. The most iconic feature is that she inherited her grandmother's gray eyes.
