Chapter 47 A Family of Three
Chapter 47
Wen Xi comforted her sad boyfriend and went out, where she met Yan and Su who were waiting at the door.
"What's wrong with you? Why don't you respond when I call you?"
Yan and Su frowned at him. The tall man gave a strong sense of oppression, but Yan was definitely not as scary as an older, mature man who had experienced the dangers of society.
"The door slammed just now. What are you doing?"
Being able to appease a more aggressive uncle and control a little nephew is easy for Wen Xi. He closed the door with his backhand, blinked at him, and said in a light tone: "My boyfriend is here to see me."
Yan and Su fell silent all of a sudden, with extremely complicated expressions. They looked Wen Xi up and down, then at his arms and legs, and finally their eyes fell on the boy's rosy and plump lips.
"You? You can't—" Yan Hesu stared at him and said with difficulty: "Bai Rixuan—"
Wen Xi couldn't help but tighten his grip on the door handle, took a quick look through the crack in the door, and then quickly closed the door to block out Yan and Su's bold remarks.
"What are you thinking? I was just kidding," Wen Xi interrupted him in a relaxed tone, "You don't believe it, do you? I just bumped into the door when I was putting on my shoes."
Realizing they were tricked, Yan and Su's faces turned dark.
"You scared me... You are so childish."
Wen Xi chuckled.
"Here's one."
Yan and Su lowered their heads and saw a blue hairband lying on the boy's fair palm, with the accessory being a strange-looking alien with big eyes.
Yan and Su had the illusion that they were being implied.
"What for me?"
Wen Xi extended her hand to him: "It's considered compensation."
When Wen Xi raised her hand, her cuffs pulled back, revealing her wrist. On her fair wrist bone was a pink piggy hairband, a lucky piggy. It was obvious that a strange man had bought a hairband to mark his territory.
Wenxi is not very old and looks young. She acts as childish as a primary school student with a pink hairband.
Ever since Wen Xi started dating, Yan and Su noticed that there were always some strange things around their roommate, such as a hat with a big-eyed frog in it, a water cup with a cartoon of a puppy on it, and so on.
Is it that the cute animal sculptures are 100% consistent with Wenxi, or that his partner thinks of Wenxi when she sees these cute things? Anyone with a brain would choose the latter.
However, regardless of the value of these things, in terms of cost-effectiveness, Wen Xi, who is busy working part-time and spending every penny carefully, would not consider them.
Yan and Su lowered their eyes and looked at Wen Xi's slightly childish behavior with mixed feelings. They suddenly felt that it would be good for Wen Xi to have a partner.
At least the child who has always pretended to be an adult can now feel the feeling of being loved and cared for.
Wen Xi looked at Yan and Su in confusion, not knowing the twists and turns of her roommate's mind. She shook her hairband and said, "You didn't sleep well last night? Why did you suddenly go into a daze while talking?"
"No."
Yan Hesu reached out and flicked the strange-looking alien, then snorted and said nonchalantly, "Your boyfriend gave it to you, so keep it for yourself. I don't care about anything. Let's go downstairs to eat. You've wasted half a day. If you don't go, your brother Zhou will be angry and roar."
"You are really a good brother to Brother Zhou."
Yan and Su snorted and walked towards the elevator on their own.
"Okay, forget it." Wen Xi put the hairband and the pig together, knocked on the door with her backhand, gave Yan Jue a signal to leave, and caught up with Yan and Su.
"Wait for me."
The elevator door closed and moved downward, and several crisp message alert tones came from room 1455.
Yan Jue picked up the phone and saw a photo on the screen. There were two hair bands put together on the fair wrist of the young man.
[Streams become seas]: [Picture]
[The Stream Becomes the Sea]: Poor Yan and Su thought that he was rejecting Chouchou’s apology post.
[Stream Becomes Sea]: But——
The hotel door was soundproof, but Yan Jue was so close that he could still hear the conversation outside the door clearly.
[Y.]: Actually?
The words "The other party is typing" immediately appeared in the chat box.
[溪流成海]: Actually, it’s a family hair circle of a family of three [Rose]
[溪流成海]: My dear husband, I am going to work hard for my career d(^ ^*)
But within two seconds there was a reply - Wen Xi responded without hesitation.

After breakfast, Wenxi and his group rushed to the H finals.
The international competition is of high standard and is broadcast all over the world. This time the venue was chosen to be the gymnasium of H University.
Each school takes turns to go on stage to operate the robot according to their number, and the judges give scores. After all the operations are completed, the students are ranked according to the scores and awards are presented on the spot.
The order of appearance was determined by random drawing on site. Yunga University was ranked 15th, and R University, where Olivier was, was ranked 16th. There were 25 teams in total who made it to the finals. Top students from all over the world exchanged and learned with each other, and the two teams had met several times. The seats in the waiting area were close to each other, and the two teams naturally greeted each other.
After watching the operations of other teams for a while, Wen Xi had some idea of their team's ranking.
All his teammates were concentrating on watching the game. Wen Xi looked at the audience seats on the opposite side, but they were too far away and he could not see anything.
Her hand involuntarily reached into her pocket and when she was about to take out her cell phone, Wen Xi noticed the pale color of Oliver's lips. She paused in the action of secretly contacting her boyfriend with the phone, and turned to look at Oliver.
The boy lowered his head and looked unhappy. The two had had several academic exchanges on some design issues in the past few days. Out of humanistic concern, Wen Xi politely asked: "You look very bad, is it because of low blood sugar and not having breakfast?"
When Oliver saw the candy being handed to him, he looked up from his lowered head, paused, and shook his head: "No, I'm just worried about my brother."
"Your younger brother?" It was the first time that Wen Xi heard about Oliver's family from his mouth, and her eyes involuntarily fell on the little prince badge on the boy's chest.
Oliver noticed his gaze, a soft smile appeared on his bitter face, and he reached out to take off the badge: "This is a gift from Joseph. He likes the little prince very much, but he still gave me his favorite badge."
As he spoke, Olivier handed the badge to Wenxi. Wenxi hesitated and took the badge of extraordinary significance. It was finely crafted. The little prince's rose was made of a crystal ruby and looked very precious both in value and sentiment.
Wen Xi carefully held the badge, turned it, and found that it was not only a badge, but also a pocket watch that could be opened.
He looked at Oliver, and the boy nodded to him: "You can open it, there is a photo of Joseph inside."
Wen Xi was a little nervous. She carefully held the edge of the badge with her fingertips and gently opened it. There was a small photo inside.
Unexpectedly, Joseph looked only one or two years old, chubby and holding a puppy. He had the same golden hair as Oliver, but not blue eyes, but a pair of black eyes. He had a high nose bridge and narrow eyes, and looked like a mixed-race.
Oliver has a pure white appearance, and out of politeness, Wen Xi did not ask the questions in his mind.
"So beautiful," Wen Xi looked at Oliver's distressed eyes. The other party came from a wealthy family and had achieved academic success. Wen Xi had some bad suspicions, "What's wrong with him?"
Oliver took out his cell phone, and Joseph was on the screen. Unlike the healthy and happy appearance on the pocket watch, the Joseph on the phone was held in someone's arms, and his small body was covered with medical devices.
"Two years old, leukemia. Congenital. Dialysis can only sustain his life for another six months. Only a bone marrow transplant can save him."
Wen Xi paused for a moment, and felt that the pocket watch in his hand was extremely heavy. The ordinary pointer that was spinning again and again became a countdown to the little boy's death.
Olifil flipped through the photo album and switched to a video. The little boy was being held in someone's arms, apparently in his father's arms. He was hooked to an IV in the ward and was crying loudly, his little face red, crying heartbreakingly.
Although she was mentally prepared, when she heard Joseph's crying, Wen Xi couldn't help but feel sorry for this two-year-old boy whom she had never met before.
"This is the video of him going to the hospital today. I'm worried. He...he's only two years old. He hasn't seen much of the world—"
"I wish I was the one who got sick." Oliver took a deep breath and put away his phone. "Sorry."
Wen Xi shook her head: "It's okay."
He carefully closed the pocket watch and returned it to Oliver. He could empathize with the other person's feelings. In fact, when Wen Xi saw the two-year-old Joseph being held by his father for an injection, and the parents were helpless and could only watch him cry, he thought of Wen Ran.
Three years ago, he got the money from selling the house and bought a train ticket to City A. On his way to escape from Yongning Town overnight, Wen Ran also cried heartbreakingly.
Wen Ran was only two years old. She lost her parents overnight and became an orphan. She was frightened by the debt collectors and had a fever for several days. After a day and a night of train ride, with hard seats and loud noises, Wen Ran was frightened and had a high fever. Wen Xi gave her medicine, but she still cried out of breath because of the pain.
Wenxi was afraid of disturbing others, so he could only buy a box lunch and hold Ranran in his arms, hiding in the dining car where there were relatively few people to coax her.
If Wen Ran continues to have a fever, it will easily worsen into pneumonia. Wen Xi wishes he could endure a hundred times the pain for Wen Ran, and only hopes that his sister can get a good night's sleep and get better soon.
Perhaps Wen Xi's sincere plea to God was heard, and a kind breastfeeding aunt took Wen Ran over. After feeling her mother's feelings, Wen Ran gradually calmed down. But she still sobbed softly, and her crying was pitiful. The aunt's baby was about the same age as Wen Ran, sleeping peacefully in his father's arms, while Wen Ran could only secretly absorb the warmth of other mothers to gain a sense of security.
But after that, Wen Ran's body temperature gradually returned to normal, and she was no longer hot when she got off the train. Wen Xi took her to the hospital for two days, and she completely recovered and has not had a serious cold since then.
But Joseph's situation was different, and Wen Xi had a hard time saying comforting words, so she asked, "Have you found a match?"
Oliver lowered his head and pinned the badge back on his chest. With drooping eyelids, he said in a low voice, "I have been looking for a long time in Country M, but there is no match."
Wen Xi opened his mouth. Oliphiel's flower meant that there was no matching blood relative, and the only option was to find a one in a million chance in the tiny human population.
"Feel sorry--"
Wen Xi was interrupted, and Oliver looked at him and said, "But we found it in China."
So, Oliver traveled thousands of miles to China just to find bone marrow.
"Now that we've found it, it's much easier to deal with." Wen Xi breathed a sigh of relief, took out a lucky charm from her schoolbag and handed it to Olivier, saying softly, "This is a Chinese lucky charm that can bring good luck and peace."
Oliver stared at his lucky charm in a daze. Wen Xi placed it directly in the boy's palm and said softly, "If you can find a match, it means there is still hope. Don't give up your confidence."
Oliver looked at him, closed his palms for a while, and took a deep breath: "Okay."
"Wenxi is gone, it will be our turn soon." Wen Jing pushed Wenxi, who made an OK gesture.
"Oh, don't give in to difficulties, keep fighting against fate."
Wen Xi stood up, put the candy that the boy didn't take in his palm, and curled her eyes: "Eat some candy, the sweet taste will make people feel better."
The judges' scores for Group 13 were already being announced on the stage. Wen Xi nodded to Olivier, then turned and left the waiting area.
Oliver stared at Wen Xi's figure going up on the stage with a serious look. After a while, he opened the candy in his palm and ate it. It was orange flavored.
"I never thought his brother would have leukemia." Wen Jing and Wen Xi whispered to each other, "Rich people also suffer."
In fact, there is nothing too surprising. After all, most of the happiness in this world is similar, but the ways in which fate tortures people are strange and varied.
But no matter how much Wen Xi empathizes with other people's suffering, he can only offer comfort.
