Midway through the meal, Chen Jingyi and Cheng Surin each made an excuse to leave, leaving only He He and Chen Jingbai in the private room.

Upon hearing the word "guarantee," He He almost jumped out of her skin. None of Chen Jingbai's previous guarantees had ever been kept. "Then forget it. You'd better not exaggerate, lest you fail to deliver in the future."
Chen Jingbai realized he had said the wrong thing, "Okay, I will try to change."
He He looked out the door, "Why aren't they back yet? Did they leave already? Aren't they going to eat the cake? I haven't cut the cake yet, and I haven't made a wish."
“They shouldn’t have left. I’ll go out and look for them.” Chen Jingbai stood up.
