Wu Wei'an stared at the round-faced steward outside the window for a while. After Wanxiang left, he turned around and said to her, "They're back, and they've got the person."

Ji Yunxi secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but her face didn't reveal anything: "That's good, I'll go there tomorrow morning."

After years in the business world, she hasn't been able to master Wu Weian's superb acting skills, but she can still keep her emotions under control.

Wu Weian put down the topographic map in his hand, stood up and closed the window, keeping out the Poison Lady who had been standing outside looking at him for a long time but dared not speak.

This vicious woman also loves money like her life. She behaves like this because she probably knows that she can only earn seven cents from this trip.

Seven cents isn't enough?

Wu Weian stretched, walked to the bed, leaned against it comfortably, picked up a book, and planned to flip through a few pages before going to sleep.

This miscellaneous book belongs to Ji Yunxi, and it is really good for relieving boredom.

Ji Yunxi also got down from the beauty bed. She walked to the end of the bed in her embroidered shoes.

Wu Weian was tall and had long legs, so he very consciously retracted his feet.

Ji Yunxi crawled into the bed from the end and sat on her spot.

This wedding bed is very large and can easily accommodate four or five people.

These days, Ji Yunxi slept at the innermost bed and he slept at the outermost bed, as if there was a Milky Way between them.

Ji Yunxi knelt at the other end of the Milky Way, straightening the quilt as she suddenly spoke: "You said you've touched human skin?"

Wu Wei'an turned a page of a book: "Did I say that?"

Ji Yunxi looked at him: "You said so."

Wu Wei'an raised his head and looked back at her, suddenly feeling a little interested. He was confused: "Oh? Really? I don't remember."

"When I gave you your wedding dress, you said that cloud gauze and brocade were several times smoother than a woman's fair skin. I asked you if you had ever touched it, and you told me no, and asked me if human skin counted." Ji Yunxi repeated it to him verbatim.

Seeing her repeating it seriously, Wu Weian suddenly laughed: "It's rare that Yunniang remembers it so clearly. I remember now. I did touch it. Why?"

Ji Yunxi nodded and asked, "Then can you make a human skin mask?"

Wu Weian raised his eyebrows: "You want me to be Fang Yuan's skin?"

Ji Yunxi: "Yes."

Wu Weian retracted his gaze and turned to the book again: "I do know how to do it, and I do have a few human skins lying around."

Ji Yunxi got straight to the point: "Then name your price."

Wu Wei'an slammed the book shut and shouted, "Eight thousand taels!"

Ji Yunxi didn't even blink: "Okay. How long do you want?"

Wu Wei'an threw the books back to where they were. "Three days at the earliest, but you have to draw my portrait."

Ji Yunxi lifted the quilt and lay down: "I will give it to you when I come back from the farm tomorrow morning."

Wu Wei'an: "No problem."

The two reached an agreement and lay down to go to sleep.

But Wu Weian couldn't sleep.

He loved making human skin masks, but he didn't want to waste the skin. However, the price he offered was much higher than anyone else in the martial arts world, so no one would come to him. But he would never lower the price, even if he had to let the skin moldy.

As a result, now he can do some handicrafts that he likes and make a lot of money. How wonderful!

Ji Yunxi couldn't sleep well either. She had been thinking over and over in her mind about how to rescue her manager.

She opened her eyes, looked in the darkness for a while, and suddenly said softly, "Are you asleep?"

Wu Wei'an also replied softly: "No."

Ji Yunxi returned to her normal voice: "Will your mask be easily lifted?"

Wu Wei'an put his hand behind his head and said, "I have a special method. It's very strong and can be used to make your face look like your own. If you don't believe me, you can ask someone to uncover the Poison Lady. If you can, I'll give you eight thousand taels."

Ji Yunxi was slightly surprised, but then she felt that it was indeed reasonable: "No wonder her eyes looked so clear, she didn't look like her age."

Wu Weian nodded and avoided the topic. The two chatted for a few more minutes and then went to sleep.

*

After a few hours, before dawn, Ji Yunxi got up.

She was going to the farm today, but it was impossible for her to go straight there. She wanted to go around the pawnshop in the city first, and then go around the farms.

So she got up very early.

People who learn martial arts have extremely strong five senses. Wu Weian closed his eyes and climbed up from the bed.

He pulled the quilt and sat on the bed. After waking up for a while, he looked at the still dark sky outside and sighed, "It's a bit early."

Ji Yunxi came in after washing her face outside, glanced at the person on the bed, and asked casually, "Are you still taking a day off today?"

Wu Weian lay down again, feeling very sleepy: "Goodbye, I haven't found my horse yet."

Ji Yunxi was already used to it, and her brows didn't move at all when she heard that.

She wiped her hands with a towel and remembered something: "You said you needed three days, so you also need three days of leave?"

"Well, I'll have the steward go to the Hanlin Academy for me later. I'm still feeling tired. I struggled to get up this morning and ended up fainting." Wu Weian closed his eyes, having already thought of a reason to ask for leave. He said to Ji Yunxi, "But I won't be here for the next three days. Don't let anyone come into our room to look for me."

Ji Yunxi put down the towel, stood there and thought for a moment, then looked at the person lying on the bed and said calmly, "Since that's the case, let's do the whole show."

Wu Weian opened his eyes and turned his head: "What?"

Baofu happened to come in with his maid.

Ji Yunxi said, "Baofu, the master is not feeling well and fainted when he stood up. Please quickly pass on my order and ask Doctor Cheng from Qifangtang to come and take a look."

Baofu: “Ah?”

She looked at her young lady, then at her son-in-law lying on the bed.

On a summer morning, after a night, all the ice in the room had melted, but there was still a hint of coolness left.

Her brother-in-law was covered with a thin and soft summer quilt, his upper body slightly raised, one elbow supported on the bed, and he was looking at her with his eyes open.
