Chapter 4: Tezuka-senpai's Cup
"Medical bandage."
"I brought it."
"Sports drink."
"I've prepared one can, that should be enough."
"besides……"
"Kazama-san, Gen-san, we're leaving." Taocheng pushed open the door, and the first thing that caught his eye was two heavy packages.
A few minutes later.
Kikumaru poked at the package and chuckled, "Oishi, does this look like an outing?"
Bu Er said slowly, "Our recorder is very considerate."
Echizen tilted his head: "Aren't there drinks at the stadium?"
Fengjian's face turned red. Sister Ling always said "the more the better", so she prepared nine servings.
Taocheng bared his teeth as he carried the bag: "You're just talking and not helping? It's so heavy!"
With bags of all sizes hanging on his shoulders, it looked like he was carrying a picnic basket.
Tezuka glanced at him calmly and said, "You'll be on stage soon. Thank you for your hard work."
"I'll help you." Feng Jian was about to step forward, but was held back by Tao Cheng: "What's the point of asking a girl to move it?"
Chiba hooked his arm around Kazama's shoulder and smiled, "Then please have Momoshiro carry me back after the game."
Tao Cheng choked obviously, but still said stubbornly: "Of course no problem!"
Everyone laughed muffledly.
It was her first time watching a formal tennis match with a scorer on the court. As soon as Kazama sat down, she felt the pressure on her. Without turning around, she could see Minamoto Chiba cheering her on in the audience.
"Mr. Kazama looks so bad?" Oishi asked with concern.
"Maybe it's too hot." Fengjian said stubbornly, his eyes drifting upwards.
"No, no, there's no sun today." Kikumaru interrupted.
Pushing his glasses: "The probability of being nervous during a first-time match is 95.6%."
"You can say you feel uncomfortable."
A cold and low voice sounded from behind. Kazama could imagine Minister Tezuka's meticulous and cold face without turning around, and he immediately sat up straight.
Although she was a little nervous, her attention was quickly drawn to the movement coming from the court.
The sun was obscured by rolling dark clouds long before the game started. When Fuji and Kawamura came down from the field, the whole sky felt like a thick floor, weighing heavily on people's hearts.
Fengjian Siyue was glad that she brought anti-swelling spray, but subconsciously she didn't want to use it.
Before joining the Qingxue tennis team, she never knew that tennis was such a passionate sport. She thought it was just an ordinary competition. It was not until she saw the young boys on the court that she finally saw its true passionate face.
"Kazama-senpai, your expression looks a little scary. I didn't even cry."
"Ah, Kazama, why do you look like you're about to cry?"
Fengjian Siyue's forehead twitched. She pushed away Momoshiro's face that was deliberately leaning forward to look at her. She then fiercely rubbed the dark green hair of her junior, who never forgot to say a few words even when injured. Then she raised the small white bottle in her hand and showed a kind smile, "Echizen, I think the pain-relieving spray just now was not enough. Do you want some more?"
"don't want."
"Echizen, I'll give you ten minutes. If you don't win in ten minutes, you forfeit."
Everyone turned their heads. Tezuka walked up to Echizen and handed him the racket. The tips of his chestnut-brown hair glowed slightly in the refraction of the light.
"Ten minutes? That kind of thing..." Echizen raised the corner of his lips, "It's not even necessary."
"This isn't good. This kid Echizen has tricked me again. I really can't accept this." Momoshiro smiled and touched his hair.
"hiss……"
"Echizen, it's up to you."
"Little one, bring back the victory."
“We can get good data again.”
The morning light was just beginning to appear in the distant sky. The young men stood side by side, their pale blue school uniforms dancing in the wind, their hems reflecting the clear blue sky.
In the end, there was no suspense in the match, and Qingxue won.
After the game, everyone from Seigaku went to Kawamura's sushi restaurant to celebrate. Kazama's idea of coming back early to help Sister Ling was pulled away by Momoshiro and was forced to give up.
"The sushi at Kawamura-senpai's house is delicious." Gen Chiba widened his eyes exaggeratedly.
"Of course. Senior Aaron's family has a sushi recipe passed down from generation to generation, and their signature dish is very famous."
“That’s amazing.”
Tao Cheng's words successfully earned the starry eyes of several fans.
Chiba complained, "People who don't know would think that the sushi restaurant was opened by the Momoshiro family."
"Come to think of it, I remember Kazama's family also owns a restaurant?" Gan suddenly asked, and the topic immediately turned to Kazama. Kazama, stuffing himself with delicious sushi, puffed out his cheeks, looking at everyone staring at him with a confused look on his face, and then accidentally choked.
A white hand stretched out from the side. Fengjia took the paper cup and took a big gulp, said thank you, and then sat upright under everyone's bright gaze.
"Senior Gan is right. My family runs a Chinese restaurant because my mother is Chinese."
"Kazama Restaurant...is that the one where A-gan ordered a group meal last time?" Fuji asked with a smile, "Then Kazama-san must be able to speak Chinese, right?"
"Yes... that's absolutely right."
"That's right," Chiba said quickly, "Not only does April speak Chinese and Japanese, but her family's 'Kazama Restaurant' was recently featured in the 'Yokohama Local Food Magazine'."
“That’s amazing.”
"That must be delicious. I really want to try it."
"Next time Sister Ling has time, I'll invite everyone to my house to play." Fengjian suggested sincerely.
"Who is Sister Ling?"
"My mother."
“I feel very young.”
Taocheng said sarcastically, "If you don't know, you might think that 'Kazama Restaurant' is run by Gen-san's family."
However, everyone was immersed in the joy of winning the game, so naturally no one noticed this.
When they raised their glasses for the last time, Feng Jian noticed that the person next to him was using a wide-mouthed glass - they were all using white glass cups when they entered the room.
Where is Tezuka-senpai's cup?
——
"Carrot consumption has increased by 16% compared to last week, and seafood consumption has increased by 24%. You might consider ordering more..."
The fiery red lights outside the store outlined the thin figures of pedestrians. The house was quiet, with only the rustling sound of pen tips touching paper and water stains sliding.
"The account book is much more detailed than before."
A shadow fell beside me. Sister Ling was wiping the counter, her water-soaked fingers tapping on a line in her notebook. "Did you learn this calculation method in the tennis club?"
Su Lai nodded and flipped through the account book. "Sister Ling, seafood sales in the first half of April increased by 25.3% compared to March. You can place an additional seafood order next week, after training this Saturday..."
"Very professional," Sister Ling said with a smile, "But you don't have to worry about ordering seafood. Leave the trip to the port to me."
"The things in the store..."
"Never mind. Learning more skills will help the family. Last week's losses were much less."
Before she could think about it, Sister Ling turned and went into the kitchen, and her suppressed cough shook the air.
Fengjian's heart suddenly tightened, and the corner of her clothes was pinched tightly. Although she had looked up many health-preserving methods, whether it was loquat paste or throat lozenges, Sister Ling's cough did not get relieved at all. It seemed that she had to go to the hospital.
Feng Jian sighed lightly, walked into the kitchen, and said in a casual tone, "Sister Ling, let's go to the hospital next week."
Sister Ling didn't even raise her head. "Why go to the hospital? Your mother is in good health. She can even hold you."
"But I heard a few days ago that a customer complained about coughing, and I wonder if it would affect the quality of the food."
"Really?" Sister Ling was slightly stunned, with a look of suspicion on her face.
"That's absolutely true. They said they were worried about the unsanitary conditions."
"So I really have to go and see it."
Feng Jian's eyes lit up, and he struck while the iron was hot. "So, if you don't cure it, the customer flow might decrease. And it's best to cure it right away, otherwise it will affect the business of the store."
"Then let's go check it out on Saturday, April. I think it's okay for you to contact the hospital."
"It's absolutely fine!"
The method of provocation that Senior Gan suggested really worked.
