Chapter 38 Thoughts

Chapter 38 Thoughts

“Ding ding, ding ding—”

The bulging figure on the bed grabbed the alarm clock, turned over, and hit his head on the ground with a bang.

"hiss--"

The girl in the pink bear pajamas gasped, covered her forehead with her hands, and got up from the ground. She grabbed the alarm clock and took a closer look. "Hmm... 9:10..."

"What--"

Screams pierced the morning silence.

Youth tryout camp.

"Our competitors for this competition are high school students from the West Coast of the United States. We originally planned to select the elite students from each school after the national competition, but the American Association requested that we bring it forward..."

"This selection will be divided into three groups, with Coach Ryuzaki as the head coach..."

"The people behind me are teachers and volunteers who are responsible for everyone's food, daily life, and training equipment during the training camp."

The young people in the audience were talking about it.

"Hey, didn't Kazama say she would come as a volunteer?" Momoshiro muttered softly.

"Could it be that you suddenly decided not to come, meow?" Kikumaru looked around, his lively and active figure was very eye-catching in the crowd. After being glanced at by Coach Ryuzaki, he quickly stood still.

"Why hasn't April arrived yet..." Yuan glanced at the phone on his back, his peripheral vision suddenly attracted by the movement in the distance. After seeing the familiar face clearly, his eyes widened, "April..."

As soon as the words came out, they attracted the attention of everyone on and off the stage. Coach Ryuzaki glanced over and asked, "Gen, what's wrong?"

Seeing that the other party was about to look over, Yuan's heart was in his throat. In a moment of urgency, he uttered a cry, pointed at the sky above and smiled falsely: "Just now I seemed to see a pig flying in the sky, hahahaha..."

The whole place was silent for a few seconds before someone in the crowd said, "What a cold joke."

Hanamura adjusted his glasses and said with a smile, "Coach Ryuzaki, I didn't expect that the students at your Seishun Academy are quite interesting."

Coach Ryuzaki held his forehead helplessly, while Yuan awkwardly dug his toes into the ground, lowering his head to think about which floor tile would be best to bury himself in. He glanced at the empty wall out of the corner of his eye and breathed a sigh of relief.

Fengjian hid behind the tree and patted her chest. She was so scared by Yuan's sudden voice that she almost fell off the wall. Fortunately, everyone's attention was drawn to it, otherwise it would be terrible.

She was about to breathe a sigh of relief when a plump, green figure suddenly jumped into her field of vision. She swallowed and her heart jumped into her throat.

In fact, she is not afraid of cockroaches, rats and spiders, but she has no resistance to these crawling things.

Just when she was desperately hoping that thing wouldn't crawl towards her, it landed directly... on her nose.

"Wow!!!"

A quarter of an hour later, Feng Jian came out of the coaching room, barely breathing. The low pressure around him made the young man beside him pull up the brim of his hat. "Feng Jian, are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Kazama turned his head and gave him a forced smile, "Thank you for today. If you hadn't begged Coach Ryuzaki for mercy, I might have been punished by running laps."

"It's okay. After all, I was the one who called you out last night, so I'm also responsible." Sanada glanced at her pale face and frowned. "Do you want to see a doctor?"

"It's okay, I'm fine..." Feng Jian was barely breathing and walked forward holding the wall. The sticky touch seemed to still remain on her face. The shadow of the thing she took out from the quilt when she was a child followed her like a shadow. She quickly covered her mouth and walked quickly towards the bathroom, and suddenly bumped into a figure.

"Hey, it's really inappropriate to rush in the corridor." Atobe held her shoulders with both hands, and was startled when his eyes glanced at her slightly red eyes, "Are you crying..."

The cool scent of roses, mixed with the sticky touch from before, made her stomach tighten. The words of apology were still stuck in her throat, but her hands had already grasped the other person's clothes and spit them out.

The Ice Emperor people behind him and the other people from the training camp who had just arrived were all petrified on the spot.

"April is so strong..." Yuan widened his eyes.

"Kazama is the real warrior." The tip of Gan's pen froze in mid-air, and his tone was full of admiration.

——

"Chiba, stop laughing," Fengjian said in a muffled voice, covering his head with a pillow. "What's so funny about vomiting on someone else?"

"It's not funny to spit on others, but the person you were spitting on was Hyotei's Atobe-kun. That guy talks about being gorgeous all the time, irons his clothes eight hundred times, and always scatters rose petals when he goes out. Didn't you see how green his face turned?" Yuan tossed a grape into his mouth. "I heard a girl accidentally stepped on his custom-made leather shoes and transferred to another school not long after. I wonder if that guy was the one who ordered her to transfer."

"Is this true?!" Feng Jian quickly sat up from the bed and asked nervously, "Is he going to ask me to transfer schools too, or make Sister Ling's store...close down?!"

"Maybe," Gen said calmly. Seeing Kazama's genuine belief, he sighed and put a grape in her mouth. "Don't worry, these are just anecdotes from the Hyotei forum. They might just be his fans making up. And haven't you noticed, Atobe treats you differently than he treats others? It's just a stain on one of his clothes. It's nothing serious."

Feng Jian was stunned, "What do you mean by that?"

"What I mean is that Atobe might be interested in you, and everyone thinks so, including his teammates," Gen spread his hands and pinched her face while she was stunned. "But April, you're actually afraid of caterpillars. I thought you were a fearless and tough queen."

Fengjian didn't react to her actions at all, and what she just said was like a thunderclap hitting her head.

Is Atobe interested in her?

It must be a lie.

That guy has the word "gorgeous" carved on him from head to toe. The only person he likes can only be himself, right?

Although Atobe did not bother her after she apologized, for some strange reason, Kazama still tried to minimize any direct contact between herself and the other party.

"What's wrong with that guy that he runs away when he sees people." Atobe frowned, stood at the door with his chest crossed, staring at the figure running away.

"Well, girls tend to feel embarrassed easily," Oshitari said to himself, adjusting his glasses. "Perhaps it would be better to take the initiative."

Atobe glanced at him, "Oshitari, what are you talking about that isn't fancy, huh?"

I just smiled and said nothing.

If you walk too much at night, you will still encounter ghosts. Yuan went to the next group to watch the competition of senior Gan, so she had to go to Huacun group alone to deliver medical supplies.

The wind from the corridor brought the smell of sweat from the training room. Fengjian looked into the training room and breathed a sigh of relief when he didn't see the familiar figure. When he was about to go in, a voice suddenly sounded behind him.

"It's really inappropriate to stand at the door like a sneaky guy, isn't it?"

Feng Jian paused, and with a stiff neck, he turned around and saw Atobe standing in front of him. Her hair was dyed dark, with water droplets dripping from the tips. Her panicked figure was reflected in her deep purple pupils. "Or are you hiding from someone?"

On the other side of the corridor.

"Tell me, what bad things have you done recently?" Atobe leaned against the wall.

Kazama scratched his head, his tone a little hesitant, "Um, excuse me, does Atobe-kun have a crush on someone?"

He paused slightly, "Huh?"

"Yes, or no?" Feng Jian asked.

"There are many people who like me," Atobe said, standing with his arms crossed. His eyes fell on her face, fixed for a few seconds before moving away. "But for the person I like... I won't do anything that's not gorgeous."

Hearing Atobe's affirmative answer, Fengjian finally felt relieved. He raised his hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead and said, "If it's not true, that's great. After all, Atobe-kun is such a good person, there must be someone better for you."

He has a strict reputation for being a disciplined person, but he cares deeply about his teammates. He recommended a hospital when Ling needed surgery, taught her tennis during training camp, and prepared tennis terminology for her. He even helped her out when she encountered a problem at the store last time...

The boy who always uses "not gorgeous" as his motto is actually a soft and delicate lemon candy in his heart, and his sweet and sour taste is full of the breath of summer.

"Ah, don't give people the nice guy card so easily," Atobe said with a look of disgust, "I don't need that kind of thing."

The doubts in his heart were cleared up, and Fengjian's tone became much lighter. "Atobe-kun, you always say this is unnecessary and that is not fancy. So, can I ask if there is anything you really want?"

Atobe suddenly fell silent. The bright white light above his head poured down along his hair, casting light and shadows of varying shades on his half-closed face. He looked at her, his eyes seemed to be embedded in a section of frozen time.

He suddenly raised his hand, his fingertips just touching the tip of her hair but he retracted it, as if burned by the light. He turned around and said in a calm voice, "What I need is victory, nothing else matters."

"For you, the most important thing is to grow up quickly, catch up with your captain, and stand at the top of the national competition."

The latter sentence carries more weight than the former victory.

Kazama stood there, the boy's silhouette elongated by the white light.

Atobe lowered his head and stared at his palm, the corners of his lips slightly lowered. The wind in the corridor swept past the sound of the ball in the training room. His fingers hanging at his sides curled up unconsciously, but then loosened, so fast that it seemed like an illusion.
