Chapter Twenty-Six

Chapter Twenty-Six

The night, like a velvet cloth soaked in warm milk, gently enveloped the entire room.

The moonlight outside the French windows shattered into silver foil, falling on the carpet and making the silhouettes of the two people embracing appear exceptionally soft.

Yukimura snuggled closer to Yuzuru, her arms encircling him even tighter, the tips of her iris-purple hair brushing against Yuzuru's collarbone, her voice tinged with an unconscious grievance: "I feel like you've been ignoring me lately."

Just as Yuzuru's fingertips were about to touch his back, he heard the person in his arms continue to mutter, "When we were in a long-distance relationship, we would call each other two or three times a day and talk for a long time. Recently, when I call you from France, you always hang up in a hurry."

As he spoke, he buried his head in Yuzuru's soft neck, his nose brushing against the warm skin, greedily inhaling the comforting scent that belonged only to Yuzuru, like a lost kitten finding its home.

"I'm sorry, Oichi." Yuzuru's voice was deep and gentle as he gently stroked Yukimura's back. "I just finished an urgent project. An intern almost deleted a crucial recording that hadn't been saved. The whole team worked overtime for a week to catch up."

She lowered her head and placed a light kiss on Yukimura's head. "I'm sorry, Oichi."

"The day you came back, you went straight to pick up Zhiyu without even sending me a message." Yukimura's voice softened, with a slight nasal tone, sounding like he was both pleading and accusing. "Don't you love me anymore, Ayu?"

Yuzuru chuckled, tightening his arms around him, his eyes full of sincerity: "Ichi, I love you. After I finish this busy period of work, I'll apply for a month's leave to spend the whole time with you, doing nothing but being with you, okay?"

She lowered her head and kissed the top of Yukimura Tobi's purple hair, the soft touch of her hair brushing against her lips. "I promise I'll pay attention from now on. No matter how busy I am, I'll listen to you carefully, and I'll call you as soon as I'm done. Please forgive me this time, okay?"

Looking into the tenderness in his eyes, all of Yukimura's grievances vanished instantly. A slight smile curved his lips as he leaned in and gently kissed Yuzuru's neck, his voice sweet and soft: "Okay, I love you the most, Yuzuru."

Longing surged like a tide, and he pressed himself against Yuzuru, his lips precisely capturing Yuzuru's, lingering and caressing him.

Between their lips and teeth, a long-suppressed affection lingered. The two gradually became emotional, their breathing became heavy, their hands caressed each other's bodies, their body temperatures mingled, and the distance between them gradually closed until they were completely inseparable, filling the room with a tender and enchanting atmosphere.

Afterwards, the two remained close together, their sweat-dampened hair clinging to their foreheads. Yuzuru gently traced Yukimura's back with his fingertips and whispered, "Won't you get annoyed if I'm always by your side?"

"No way." Yukimura snuggled closer to him, his voice laced with a lazy laugh. "Once I retire, I'll follow you around every day, and you can't kick me out."

He raised his head and kissed Yuzuru's lips, his tone both domineering and tenderly earnest, "You'll never escape me in this lifetime." Then, he deepened the kiss, "One more time."

Life was peaceful and pleasant, and before we knew it, it was time for the Yufeng Elementary School tennis tournament.

The little guy perfectly inherited Tezuka's tennis talent, overcoming all obstacles on the court and finally bringing home the championship trophy.

The Tezuka and Yukimura families arranged to have a celebratory meal together. Before the meal, the two tennis players, who stood at the top of the world, had some rare leisure time to accompany Yufeng to practice tennis in the courtyard.

Zhiyu, with her hair tied in a small bun, stood obediently to the side, her big eyes fixed on Yufeng.

Seeing his determined gaze and nimble movements as he swung his racket, the little girl couldn't help but step forward and softly ask, "Brother Yufeng, do you really like playing ball?"

Yu Feng stopped what he was doing, sweat trickling down his forehead. He nodded, his voice clear and crisp: "I like it."

"Then why does my brother like playing tennis?" Zhiyu tilted her head and asked curiously.

“I’m happy when I’m playing,” Yu Feng thought for a moment and added seriously, “I’m even happier when I hit the ball back.”

Zhiyu gave a half-understanding "Oh," her little face flushed, and whispered, "I like my brother very much too. I'm happy to watch him play ball."

Yu Feng paused for a moment, then touched his head somewhat embarrassedly. He reached out his little hand, carefully picked up Zhi Yu, and walked towards the dining table: "Time to eat, little Zhi Yu."

Behind him, Yukimura watched this scene, his eyes instantly turning "knife-like," his purple eyes filled with the vigilance of "his own cabbage being eaten by a pig."

Tezuka, suppressing a laugh, patted Yukimura on the shoulder and said calmly, "Time to eat." Yukimura then looked away and reluctantly followed him to the dining room.

Time flies, and soon it was time for Zhiyu to start kindergarten.

In the morning, Yuzuru braided her hair and dressed her in her pretty kindergarten uniform. The little girl tugged at Yuzuru's clothes and whispered sweetly, "Mommy, I want to go to school with Brother Yufeng."

Yuzuru crouched down and gently patted her head: "Zhiyu, be good. Brother Yufeng is three years older than you. He's in elementary school now. You have to go to kindergarten first."

"But I want to be with Brother Yufeng." Zhiyu pouted, her eyes a little red.

"When you start elementary school, Mom will let you go to the same school as Brother Yufeng, okay?" Yusheng coaxed patiently.

"Really?" Zhiyu's eyes lit up, and she immediately forgot her grievances.

"Really? Mommy isn't lying to you."

Zhiyu nodded vigorously, a smile returning to her face: "Okay!"

Time slipped away with light steps, and Zhiyu finally said goodbye to kindergarten, carrying a brand-new schoolbag, and entered Qingchuntai No. 1 Primary School as she wished.

From then on, every morning at the school gate, two small figures could be seen side by side—Yu Feng holding Zhi Yu's hand, the boy's figure already upright, and the little girl skipping and jumping beside him, her purple eyes shining as if filled with the morning light.

"Brother Yufeng, is elementary school really fun?" Zhiyu shook their clasped hands, her voice full of anticipation, her little leather shoes clicking on the stone pavement.

Yu Feng looked down at her, his eyes showing the seriousness inherited from Tezuka, but his tone carried a youthful composure: "Chiyu, don't be careless."

Upon hearing this, Zhiyu suddenly smiled, revealing a sly yet bright smile just like Yukimura's, and nodded vigorously: "I know! Then let's go to school together 'without being careless,' I'll do my best!"

Before she finished speaking, she tiptoed and quickly kissed Yu Feng on the cheek; the soft touch felt like a butterfly gently landing and flying away.

Yu Feng was startled, his cheeks flushed instantly, and he subconsciously let go of her hand and took half a step back, his voice a little tight: "Zhiyu, we've all grown up now, we can't just kiss each other like we did when we were little."

"Why not?" Zhiyu tilted her head, looking confused. "I saw my parents, who are so old, kissing in the living room yesterday!"

Yu Feng's face turned even redder, his ears burning, and he stammered, "It's different."

"What's different?" Zhiyu asked, following him with small steps, her eyes full of curiosity.

"They are adults..." Yu Feng's voice trailed off, his fingers unconsciously tightening around the straps of his backpack.

"Oh—" Zhiyu drawled, then her eyes lit up. "So when we grow up, we can kiss like Mom and Dad, right?"

These words made Yu Feng's cheeks turn so red they almost bled, and a faint blush spread across his neck. He pursed his lips and after a long while, he managed to stammer out, "Probably... that's possible."

"How big do you have to grow?" Zhiyu persisted, moving even closer, and you could smell the faint scent of shampoo in her hair.

Yu Feng's head was almost touching his chest, and his voice was barely audible: "I'm not sure... probably around junior high or high school."

"Yay!" Zhiyu cheered, reaching out her little hand to take his hand again, her eyes crinkling with laughter. "Then let's make a promise, we'll kiss again when we go to junior high, okay?"

Yu Feng felt the soft warmth from the palm of his hand. His cheeks were still burning, but he still gently hummed in agreement, his voice carrying a barely perceptible shyness: "Okay."

The morning sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting long shadows on the two of them. Their hand-in-hand posture resembled a tender promise that transcended time.
