Chapter 111 Teaching Someone a Lesson with a Small Sword (1/2)

After leaving Yilan Courtyard, Wei Yingshuang did not leave the manor, but went directly to Yunji Courtyard.

As soon as they arrived at the courtyard gate, Granny Li greeted them with a smile: "This old servant greets the princess."

Wei Yingshuang gave a look, and the maid next to her took out a money pouch and handed it to Granny Li.

Granny Li composed herself naturally, her smile widening to almost disappear her eyes: "This old servant thanks the princess."

"Is the young master here?" Wei Yingshuang asked.

"Yes, yes, the young master is reading a book. Please come in, Princess." Granny Li hurriedly led the way.

Xiao Bao was intently looking at the sword practice picture book that Su Ruojin had drawn for him in the room.

Although he had begun to learn to read, he could only barely understand some simple words in the picture book.

Even so, he still liked to look through it every day and slowly memorize the moves.

"Yingshuang greets Prince Anping." Wei Yingshuang bowed to Xiaobao as she entered the room.

The sudden appearance of people and voices startled Xiao Bao, causing him to drop the picture book in his hand.

In the past, Xiao Bao would definitely have been scared and hid to the side crying, but now he always remembers what Sister Jin said: a man should be brave and not cry at the drop of a hat.

He gritted his teeth, slowly picked up the picture book from the ground, then turned around, picked up the sword placed to the side, and stabbed at Wei Yingshuang.

Sister Jin said that if anyone dares to scare him, he will teach that person a lesson with his little sword.

Xiao Bao's move was so sudden that Wei Ying Shuang was terrified and cried out, taking several steps back. Fortunately, the maid beside her caught her in time, preventing her from falling.

Xiao Bao is still young and has only just started practicing swordsmanship. This sword strike is just a show and has no real killing power.

Granny Li's expression changed drastically. She rushed over, snatched Xiao Bao's sword, and threw it aside: "My good young master, Princess Fengxi came to see you out of kindness. How could you lay a hand on her?"

After snatching the sword, Granny Li whispered in Xiao Bao's ear, "Young Master, if you don't behave, you won't be able to see your Sister Jin again."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Bao's expression changed, his eyes reddened, and he stood there with his head down, no longer making any further movements.

When Xiao Bao first arrived at the Prince's Mansion, because Granny Li looked like his wet nurse, no servant could get close to him except Granny Li. So the Prince assigned Granny Li to take care of him.

Granny Li used to tell him that if he didn't eat properly, he would never see his father and mother again.

But he couldn't control himself; he would vomit every time he ate, and sure enough, he never saw his father and mother again.

Now that Granny Li says he won't see Sister Jin if he doesn't behave, Xiao Bao doesn't dare to move around anymore.

Seeing how obedient the young master was to her, Granny Li's face showed a smug look. Could she not handle another child?

"Princess, this old servant apologizes on behalf of the young master. His sword was not sharpened and could not have hurt anyone," Granny Li hurriedly explained.

Wei Yinshuang patted her chest to calm herself down, then glared fiercely at Xiaobao.

This orphaned brat, if it weren't for Brother Yanchu's sake, who would bother with him?

Despite cursing inwardly, Wei Yingshuang forced a smile and said softly, "Young Master, I am your sister Yingshuang. I brought you a gift. Do you like it?"

With a wave of her hand, the maid brought out a plate filled with toys that boys liked, such as rattles, cloth tiger puppets, footballs, and wooden swords.

Xiao Bao seemed not to hear, keeping his head down and not looking up even once.

A hint of annoyance flashed in Wei Yingshuang's eyes, but she still patiently took out a small wooden sword from the plate, squatted down, and tried to force it into Xiaobao's hand: "Young Master likes sword dancing, try this sandalwood sword that your sister gave you. It is made of wood and will not hurt anyone."

Xiao Bao clenched his fists and refused to take the sword she offered.

Wei Yingshuang felt a little embarrassed and turned to look at Granny Li.
