We must never let Su Ruojin name our child in the future.
The little guy's ears drooped immediately upon hearing the name; it was clear it didn't like it.
Xiao Yanchu glanced at it and said with a smile, "Mao Mao, that's a good name."
“Right, I think so too.” Su Ruojin stroked Mao Mao’s little head. “Let’s go, let’s look around.”
There is a passage in the cave, but I don't know where it leads.
For safety's sake, Xiao Yanchu walked in front with his sword, and Su Ruojin followed behind.
Before I even stepped out of the passage, I felt a wave of heat rush into it, and I could faintly hear crackling sounds.
After the two walked out of the passage, they saw a huge circular cave. In the center of the cave was a circular stone platform, and around the platform was a ring of red lava. The heat waves were emanating from this lava.
What surprised Su Ruojin and Xiao Yanchu was not the lava, but the hundreds of red rock frogs of all sizes resting on the stone platform!
The larger rock frogs are about the size of a two- or three-year-old child's head, while the smaller ones are the size of a regular frog. The difference is that they are all blood red and glow red.
These rock frogs would occasionally jump into the lava for a swim before jumping back onto the stone platform.
How hot is magma? Most things in the world would melt instantly if thrown into it.
These rock frogs, however, showed no fear whatsoever, as if they were swimming in an ordinary pond.
Volcanic Rock Toad!
This is the volcanic rock toad!
Ancient books record that volcanic rock toads love flames and high temperatures, which is why they live around volcanoes.
However, the lava pool surrounding the stone platform was about eight feet wide, and they couldn't reach the rock toads at all.
This is like seeing something but not being able to eat it.
"Let's sit and wait and see, maybe one or two will jump out."
This is the only method Su Ruojin can think of right now.
"good."
The two found a place to sit down.
After sitting down, Su Ruojin grabbed the backpack behind her and pulled out two soaking wet pancakes.
Before going into the water, fearing an accident, she tied her backpack tightly to her body in case of emergency, and unexpectedly, it actually came in handy.
She handed a piece to Xiao Yanchu: "Just eat this."
Xiao Yanchu didn't mind and took it to eat.
The pancakes that have been soaked in water really don't taste very good; they're sticky and gooey.
Mao Mao seemed to have never seen this kind of food before. It held it out to Su Ruojin with its little paws, making a begging gesture.
Su Ruojin chuckled and placed a small piece on the little furry paw: "Want to try some too?"
Without thinking twice, Mao Mao stuffed the soaked pancake into his mouth.
The next second, it spat out the whole pancake with a "pui pui pui" sound.
He even made a gagging gesture, strongly protesting that the thing was too awful to eat.
Su Ruojin couldn't help but chuckle and tapped its little head with her index finger: "You're lucky to have food here, why are you being picky?"
Mao Mao jumped off Su Ruojin's lap and tugged at her clothes with its little paws.
Su Ruojin initially thought Mao Mao wanted to play with her, so she reached out and pinched its little paw.
But Mao Mao kept pulling on her clothes and wouldn't let go.
Xiao Yanchu also noticed something was wrong: "It seems like it's taking us somewhere."
Su Ruojin looked at Mao Mao and asked, "Where are you taking us?"
She asked casually, but to her surprise, Mao Mao actually nodded.
Can Mao Mao understand human speech?
This realization shocked Su Ruojin.
Xiao Yanchu explained, "The legend says that the highly intelligent ear-mouse can understand human speech. Since it is so eager, we might as well follow it and see where it takes us."
