Chapter 465 Battle (2/2)

The reason for the fainting was simply to leave a few survivors for interrogation.

The guards had all fallen, but the children fighting inside the cage showed no reaction to what was happening outside. They continued to tear at each other inside the cage, making inhuman roars, as if they were determined to fight to the death.

After opening the cage, Hu Qing and An Yi put a pill in the mouths of the children, which made them fall asleep.

Everything finally quieted down.

With the guards inside dealt with, the guards outside are no longer a problem.

An Yi and his team finished quickly and dragged the person back into the cave.

Su Ruojin arrived at the prison, unlocked the door, and removed the gags from Yuan Hong and the others.

She glanced at the other children; apart from being a bit thin and their faces filled with terror, they all looked normal.

"Don't be afraid, we're here to rescue you. In a moment, line up and follow these two older boys out. Don't cry or talk, and try not to make any noise. Can you do that?"

The younger children didn't quite understand what was happening, but the older children all understood and nodded.

Compared to the guards, they were naturally more willing to trust Yuan Hong and Da Pu, who were about the same age as them.

Yuan Hong also spoke up, saying, "Stay close to me and Dapu. We'll take you out. The older children should look after the younger ones. Everyone, hold hands. Don't get separated once we're outside. You absolutely must stay close to me."

Seeing Yuan Hong organizing the children to go out in an orderly manner, Su Ruojin felt somewhat gratified.

Yuan Hong is also starting to be able to take on responsibilities.

"An San, you go with Yuan Hong. Let our people meet up with them. Settle these children in the courtyard we had in the suburbs before, and find a few people to take good care of them," Xiao Yanchu instructed.

"Yes, Your Highness!" An San accepted the order and left with Yuan Hong and the others.

An Yi tied up the three survivors tightly and threw them in front of Su Ruojin and Xiao Yanchu.

"Wake him up."

A bucket of cold water was poured over them, and the three of them woke up.

Seeing the scene before them, the three men were momentarily stunned. One of them shouted, "Who are you? How dare you touch us! Do you know whose territory this is? If you want to live, let us go right now!"

"Speak, why did Gao Hongyuan ask you to do this?" Xiao Yanchu asked coldly.

Upon hearing this, the three were stunned. They hadn't expected that the other party would already know the name of the Imperial Preceptor before they even mentioned it.

So they came for the Imperial Advisor?

Thinking of this, the captured guards panicked, but still shouted, "Since you know this is the Imperial Advisor's territory, why don't you release us now? If the Imperial Advisor investigates, you won't have enough lives to go around."

Su Ruojin felt suffocated in the cave, and the pervasive smell of blood made her stomach churn.

She took out a bottle of medicine and handed it to Hu Qing, saying, "We'll go out first; this is for you."

"Yes, Madam." Hu Qing took the medicine bottle from Su Ruojin and turned to feed it to the three of them.

"Yanchu, it's too stuffy in here, let's go out."

Xiao Yanchu noticed that Su Ruojin's complexion was not good, so without saying a word, he picked her up and carried her out of the cave.

Once outside the cave, the air instantly became fresh, and Su Ruojin finally felt more comfortable.

Xiao Yanchu put her down, took out a handkerchief and placed it on a slightly flat stone next to her. "Ajin, sit down and rest for a while."

"good."

After Su Ruojin sat down, her eyes were still fixed on the cave. "Yanchu, what do you think Gao Hongyuan is up to?"

Xiao Yanchu shook his head. This was the first time he had ever seen such a situation, and he couldn't figure out why Gao Hongyuan would do this.

"Perhaps Hu Qing and his team will be able to get the information out soon."
