Chapter 783 I Want to Eat Your Taiyaki (2/2)

"Since I've already said it, you should leave now. If those servants wake up, everything will be over."

"Your Majesty, the Emperor asked me to tell you that he wants to eat your taiyaki."

These servants fell asleep after drinking water laced with drugs. Each of them slept in a different place and for different durations. Matsushima Kaoru couldn't be sure when they would wake up, so she could only urge Su Ruojin and the others to leave quickly.

He had no choice but to say what the emperor had instructed him to say.

The emperor told her that if the emperor still refused to leave, he should say this to her.

Upon hearing this, Masako Izumi's nose suddenly felt a little sore, and her eyes reddened slightly.

Taiyaki, he actually still remembered the taiyaki he made.

At that moment, she suddenly longed to see that child again and make him taiyaki one more time.

Masako Izumi also realized that it was Kaoru Matsushima who had secretly saved her before, but she hadn't left at the time.

She didn't want to leave before because she wanted to stay in the shogunate and do her last bit of work for that child.

But now, Matsushima Kaoru's words, "He wants to eat the taiyaki you make," make Izumi Masako desperately want to see that child one last time, even if it's the last time.

“Miyuki, what will you do after we leave?” Izumi Masako asked with some concern.

"As long as you don't tell, I have my own ways to keep my identity from being exposed."

Kaoru Matsushima knew that the Emperor dared to act this way because he trusted the people in front of him.

She didn't need to worry about the Imperial Palace, but could she trust these people from the Great Chu?

Although they were imprisoned by Deyi Kangren, thus creating a grudge, who can truly understand the ways of the world?

Even though she was worried about the people of Great Chu, she would not disobey the emperor's orders.

Just as Su Ruojin was about to say something, Matsushima Kaoru's expression suddenly changed drastically, and she turned to look at a corner of the yard, "Who!"

The next second, a throwing knife flew towards Kaoru Matsushima's eyes.

Fortunately, she reacted quickly and dodged the knife, which then embedded itself directly into the wooden board behind Matsushima Kaoru.

Su Ruojin quickly spoke up, "Second Brother, we're on the same side."

A figure then emerged from the corner; it was Su Ziyang.

"Xiao Jin, what's going on?"

Su Ziyang was completely bewildered. When he returned from his trip outside, the courtyard was eerily quiet, and he saw several servants lying on the ground.

They had agreed to wait for him to return before taking action, but the current situation made Su Ziyang subconsciously think that Xiao Jin and the others had encountered some trouble, so he acted ahead of schedule.

Upon seeing Matsushima Kaoru, whom he had met once before, in the courtyard, Su Ziyang immediately felt that he had been discovered and decided to strike first.

"Second Brother, there's no time to explain. Is everything done?" Su Ruojin asked.

Su Ziyang nodded. "Alright."

"Let's leave here first, and we'll talk about the rest later."

Su Ziyang knew that something was wrong, so he didn't say anything more.

Then everyone followed Kaoru Matsushima to the backyard, where a ladder had already been set up.

"Go down the ladder and you'll be met by someone outside."

After the group climbed the ladder, they found two men dressed in the same black as Kaoru Matsushima waiting for them.

Upon seeing the group emerge, two men in black stepped forward. "Gentlemen, come with us quickly."

Su Ruojin and the others followed the two to a corner where there were already several horses.

Two men in black mounted their horses and led the way. Since Izumi Masako and Ueno Chinatsu couldn't ride horses, Su Ruojin and Huanzhi each took turns riding with them.

The group followed the man in black and sped off in one direction.

Kaoru Matsushima, who remained in the side courtyard, quickly took out a set of clothes, changed, and hurriedly walked out of the side courtyard. Later, she went to a samurai who had fainted outside the courtyard and shouted loudly.

"Help! Someone's fainted!"
