Chapter 20 Renting a Shop (1/2)

Su Ruojin thought that Du Yu had been running a bookstore for many years and naturally had his own connections. If he could introduce her to a shop, it would be much better than wandering around aimlessly.

Du Yu's eyes lit up upon hearing this: "Miss Su, what a coincidence! My family has two shops left behind. I used one to open the bookstore I have now, and the other is a three-story street-front shop that is currently vacant. However, the location of that shop is not as good as my bookstore; it is a bit out of the way. I wonder if Miss Su would mind?"

Su Ruojin was also very happy to hear this. A three-story shop was perfect for opening a clinic. The third floor could be used to store medicinal herbs, the second floor could be used as an acupuncture room, and the first floor could be used for consultations. It was just right.

It doesn't matter if the location is a bit remote. A clinic treats and saves lives. As long as the medical skills are good, patients will come to the clinic no matter how remote the location is.

"That's great, thank you, Mr. Du. But I have something to take care of right now, I'll go and take care of it first. Could you please take me to see that shop later?"

“Sure, no problem. Miss Su, come over as soon as you’re done with your work. I can take you to see the shop anytime.”

The bookstore didn't have many customers, and there was a young page helping to manage it, so Du Yu could leave at any time.

After leaving the bookstore, Su Ruojin walked back to where she had been, intending to give the prescription to Qin Niang.

From afar, she could see Qin Niang holding her son's hand, looking at her expectantly.

Seeing Su Ruojin approach, Qinniang grabbed her son and said, "Quickly kowtow to the little miracle doctor; she saved your life!"

The little boy was confused and didn't know what was going on, but he listened to his mother and immediately knelt down to kowtow to Su Ruojin.

Su Ruojin quickly pulled the little boy up. The child's belly had obviously deflated. She then checked his pulse, and it had become much more stable.

Su Ruojin handed the prescription she had just written to Qinniang: "The child's pulse has stabilized. Get three doses of this medicine, boil them in three bowls of water until one bowl remains, and give it to him three times a day. After he finishes the three doses, his illness will be cured."

"Oh, thank you so much, doctor! If it weren't for you, my son might have..." Qin Niang excitedly accepted the prescription, her voice choked with emotion.

With her son so ill, gossip has started circulating in the village, saying that she has brought death to her husband and is now going to bring death to her son. Even her mother-in-law, with whom she has always had a good relationship, has begun to look at her with strange eyes.

Qinniang even thought that if her son was truly beyond saving, she would go with him.

She had just taken her son to the outhouse and discovered that he had indeed passed a lot of worms, which terrified her.

With these worms in my son's stomach, no wonder his belly is so swollen.

Those around them witnessed firsthand how Qin Niang's son had been on the verge of death, but now, after going to the outhouse, he was much better, and his stomach wasn't as swollen anymore. They were even more convinced of Su Ruojin's medical skills.

"This young lady is quite capable."

"The little girl gave the child a few needles and the child came back to life."

"I think he's much better than that doctor from Jirentang."

......

The older woman from before came over again and asked, "Little miracle doctor, when will your clinic open? You'd better hurry up, I'll definitely be the first one to come."

Su Ruojin found it somewhat amusing: "Big sister, a clinic isn't exactly a pleasant place. I actually hope you never have to go to a clinic in your entire life."

The older sister didn't mind and waved her hand: "Everyone eats grains and vegetables, and everyone will have headaches and fevers sometimes. If it gets too bad, you can buy some supplements. Anyway, I'll definitely come when the time comes."

"Okay, I'll do it as soon as possible. When you arrive, I'll give you acupuncture to adjust your body for free," Su Ruojin said with a smile.
