Zhou Yang pushed open the door and went straight in.
Under the warm yellow light of the bedside lamp, Xu Yao hugged her blanket and curled up at the head of the bed.
Her eyes were red-rimmed, and glistening tears clung to her long eyelashes, making her look like a frightened little rabbit, exceptionally endearing.
Zhou Yang walked to the bedside, and without asking any questions, sat down directly.
