Chapter Thirty-Six: Fans Seek Justice for Zhou Yang!

Zhou Yang quickly said, "Girl, you should tell them that hitting people is not good. We are civilized people."

"I simply didn't want to sell instant noodles anymore, so I changed things up and started selling fried pebbles."

"If you have contact information for other fans, quickly tell them that if they want to try fried pebbles, they are welcome to come to Populus euphratica Square. It's still delicious and definitely no worse than instant noodles!"

The girl nodded, "Okay!"

She immediately looked down and started operating her phone, her fingers flying across the keyboard as if she were playing the piano.

A few seconds later, she looked up and gave an "OK" sign: "Done! I've sent out your location and emphasized it for you, telling them not to act rashly, it's all a misunderstanding!"

She paused, then added, "They said they'd be there soon and to keep you waiting. They also said... they said they'd bring that guy surnamed Liu along to back you up!"

Zhou Yang was delighted upon hearing this.

These foodies are really loyal!

However, isn't bringing Liu Peng here a bit too much of a show of force?

He was pondering how to handle the situation later.

He couldn't possibly let these guys beat Liu Peng up, could he? What would he look like then? A gangster boss?

They've sold out of the third batch and are currently cooking the fourth.

A sudden commotion arose in the distance.

Zhou Yang looked up and saw a large group of people surging towards them, a huge crowd, at least twenty or thirty people.

Leading the group were Pan Jianye and Pan Zilin, the father and son who ran the Pan family noodle shop.

Both of them were filled with anxiety and excitement, running all the way, panting heavily.

Among the crowd, one figure stood out—it was Liu Peng, who had been swaggering around in front of Pan's Noodle Shop earlier.

At this moment, he was like a defeated rooster, dejected and being pushed forward with his hands tied behind his back.

This scene is utterly ridiculous.

Zhou Yang almost burst out laughing.

Pan Jianye and Pan Zilin rushed to Zhou Yang and grabbed his arms.

"Brother Zhou Yang! What's going on? Why did you suddenly stop selling instant noodles? Did that guy surnamed Liu threaten you?"

"Or...or do you really think our noodle shop is taking advantage of you?"

Pan Jianye asked questions in rapid succession, his forehead covered in a fine layer of sweat.

Pan Zilin chimed in anxiously, "Yeah, Brother Zhou Yang! If you don't like our area, we can discuss it further!"

"You just changed locations without saying a word, and we were all on tenterhooks, thinking..."

I thought Liu Peng had stolen me away?

Zhou Yang silently added the second half of the sentence in his mind.

He quickly explained, "Boss Pan, Brother Pan, you've misunderstood! It's really not because of you, nor because of Liu Peng."

"It's just... I got tired of selling instant noodles and wanted to try something new! My move has nothing to do with you, and I didn't look down on you. The customers you keep are all there because of their own hard work!"

"Watch closely, I'll be coming up with other tricks in the future, and I guarantee I'll surprise you every time!"

Zhou Yang's words were firm and unquestionable.

Pan Jianye and Pan Zilin exchanged a glance, their eyes revealing confusion and bewilderment.

Tired of selling them?

Pan Jianye muttered to himself, "This reason is too... too capricious, isn't it?"

Pan Zilin scratched his head, "Brother Zhou Yang, this is too sudden, isn't it?"

"Your instant noodles were selling so well, why are you suddenly stopping? This...this puts us in a very difficult position!"

"Your instant noodles are so delicious, and they've just become popular online. Why don't you strike while the iron is hot!"

The two of them tried again to persuade Zhou Yang to change his mind.

But Zhou Yang was determined and wouldn't budge no matter how much they pleaded.

In the end, Pan Jianye and Pan Zilin could only sigh helplessly and accept this reality.

After all, Zhou Yang is a free man, and they cannot force him to do something against his will.

At this moment, the customers who were "holding" Liu Peng also gathered around, all filled with righteous indignation, and they all denounced Liu Peng.

"This is the guy! He impersonated Boss Zhou Yang, sold fake instant noodles, and even lied to us, saying that Boss Zhou Yang had been poached by someone else!"

"This is outrageous! We queued for so long just to eat a genuine 'overpriced instant noodle,' and we got ripped off!"

"If Boss Zhou doesn't sell instant noodles, it's a loss for the entire food street. He must apologize to Boss Zhou Yang!"

...

Liu Peng was terrified by this scene; his face turned pale and he trembled all over.

He never expected that his momentary arrogance would cause him such big trouble.

"I...I..."

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but didn't know what to say.

"Zhou Yang! What does it have to do with me if you don't sell instant noodles?"

Seeing these people so domineeringly suppressing him, and Zhou Yang looking at him with a mocking expression, Liu Peng couldn't help but explode.

He yelled at Zhou Yang, "Tell your brainless fans to let me go! I have no grudge against you, why are you letting them arrest me?"

Zhou Yang smiled slightly, signaling the agitated customers to release Liu Peng.

"Everyone, calm down and don't get agitated. We are civilized people and we don't engage in personal attacks."

Zhou Yang reassured everyone in a gentle tone.

The crowd gradually quieted down, but they still glared angrily at Liu Peng.

Zhou Yang turned to look at Liu Peng, his eyes sharpening.

"Liu Peng, you really should apologize to me!"

"You impersonated me before, selling fake instant noodles in Taikoo Li, and even bribed the market manager to slander me as a fake. I haven't settled accounts with you for these things yet!"

"If I had more time, I would have sued you for copyright infringement long ago!"

Fans overwhelmingly agreed.

"Exactly! That Liu guy is shameless!"

"Impersonating someone else and then slandering them—this kind of person deserves to be punished!"

...

Liu Peng was overwhelmed by Zhou Yang's imposing aura and couldn't breathe. He hadn't expected that this seemingly harmless street vendor would have such a strong presence.

He started to feel uneasy, but he still refused to back down.

"I...I was just trying to attract customers!"

"And if I hadn't caused this mess, would you have so many loyal fans? Would you have the fame you have now? In a way, you should thank me!"

Liu Peng argued illogically, attempting to turn black into white.

Zhou Yang was amused by his shamelessness.

"Thank God, with logic like that, it's a shame you're not a screenwriter!"

His fans were also furious at Liu Peng's "illogical reasoning".

"I've seen shameless people, but I've never seen anyone this shameless!"

"If it weren't for you, we could be eating instant noodles in Taikoo Li today!"

"That's right! You made the boss go to Pan's Noodle Shop, which means we have to travel a much longer distance. And now the boss doesn't sell instant noodles anymore, partly because you angered him! And you dare to take credit for this? Apologize right now!"

"Apologize! Apologize! Apologize!"

...
