A bunch of lunatics

A bunch of lunatics

Seeing that Li Yin did not move, he patiently repeated himself, a smile on his lips and a gentle tone, "Good boy, come here."

Li Yin looked at the person in front of her, at the hand dripping with blood. She was stunned at first, and then she looked up and met Wen Youqing's eyes, which were full of tenderness.

But Li Yin felt that this gentleness was just a layer of ice, beneath which surged even wilder emotions. When she saw the blood on Wen Youqing's hand, she reached out without hesitation.

Wen Youqing's smile deepened. He gently stroked Li Yin's hand with his blood-stained hand, then pulled Li Yin close and held him in his arms.

Li Yin didn't struggle; she sensed that something was wrong with Wen Youqing's condition.

Upon seeing this, Qi Shixu became tense and stopped staggering. He took a few steps toward Li Yin, but before he could get close, Wen Youqing raised her other hand holding the sword. In an instant, the long sword stood horizontally in front of her, its blade approaching Qi Shixu.

Qi Shixu stood still, staring at the long sword that gleamed with a cold light. Looking at Wen Youqing, a hint of anger appeared in his eyes.

He thought of that scene again: Wen Youqing snatched Li Yin away and kissed him in her arms. He gritted his teeth.

Li Yin was still in this man's arms, and this man's sword was still at his neck. It was truly... infuriating. Why? Why? Just because of that so-called power? But the Qi family's power was not weak either.

Why didn't Li Yin choose him?

This time he did not retreat. Seeing the sword lying across his face, he still moved forward. As soon as he got close, a bright red mark appeared on his neck, gushing blood, which quickly soaked his clothes.

Upon seeing this, Li Yin's eyes widened. She knew that Wen Youqing was ill, but how could Qi Shixu also be ill? She suddenly felt a headache coming on. She reached out and gently tugged at Wen Youqing's sleeve, saying, "Don't hurt him."

Upon hearing this, Wen Youqing raised her eyebrows slightly, but suddenly exerted force in her hand. Li Yin quickly pushed away Wen Youqing's hand holding the sword, causing the sword to avoid Qi Shixu's carotid artery.

Wen Youqing looked down at Li Yin, who sneered and said, "You seem to care about him. What is your relationship with him, Madam?"

Silence reigned all around, and the words echoed in the room, reaching the ears of those inside. Li Yin said, "Friend."

Wen Youqing repeated Li Yin's words, saying, "Friends?" He then smiled and continued in a slow and unhurried tone, "Madam, but he doesn't want to be just friends with you."

Li Yin raised his eyes and looked at Wen Youqing without saying a word. Wen Youqing was not annoyed. Instead, he flicked his sword with a backhand, and with a flash of cold light, he sheathed his long sword. He released the hand that was binding Li Yin, and then climbed up Li Yin's arm from Li Yin's hand, all the way up to his neck. He smiled and used his bloodied hand to rub the artery on Li Yin's neck.

He gently raised his finger and turned Li Yin's head to face Qi Shixu. He said in a low voice, "Madam, does he still look like a drunkard?"

Qi Shixu had bloodstains on her neck, her hair was disheveled, with a few strands stained with blood, and her clothes were also covered in dust. She looked very disheveled, but her eyes were sharp and full of resentment.

He certainly didn't look like a drunk person, and Li Yin couldn't help but frown slightly upon seeing this.

Wen Youqing smiled gently, released the hand that was rubbing against Li Yin's neck, and lifted a strand of Li Yin's hair behind her back, the blood lightly smearing onto the strand.

He said, "Madam, he has different feelings for you. Don't you know that?"

Li Yin lowered her eyes. She felt that he was just someone she had met a few times. She never believed in love at first sight, so she didn't think about those things.

Wen Youqing moved even closer, bending down to rest his head on Li Yin's shoulder, his warm breath mingling with Li Yin's neck.

The scent of Li Yin's hair lingered around Wen Youqing's nose as he said, "Madam, he's deceiving you, trying to lure you into a trap."

Upon hearing this, Qi Shixu glared angrily and said urgently, "Why would I need to lure Miss Li into this? It was clearly you who lured her into this, Wen Youqing. You are truly a vicious person."

Wen Youqing smiled gently upon hearing this. His voice was as gentle as a stream and as warm as jade. He whispered in Li Yin's ear, "Madam, he did lie to you. He wasn't drunk just now."

Li Yin remained silent, then gently nudged Wen Youqing's head, which was resting on her shoulder, and said, "Let's go back to the manor."

Qi Shixu felt a pang of pain in his heart, and his steps faltered slightly. He grabbed the table for support and reached out towards Li Yin. He wanted to shout, but he couldn't make a sound. He tried to lift his foot to walk, but it felt as if it weighed a ton. No matter how hard he tried, his feet wouldn't budge. A sense of powerlessness spread through his heart.

Before her eyes, Li Yin was held in Wen Youqing's arms. The blood on their bodies was as if they had undergone some kind of ritual, and their hair was intertwined in the wind under the moonlight.

Qi Shixu could only watch Li Yin's departing figure, standing there dumbfounded. He could only reach out, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't touch the hem of Li Yin's clothes. He could only let the wind from the skirt brush against his hand.

The wind passed quickly, gone in an instant, and in the blink of an eye, he lowered his eyelids. He stared at their backs, at the long shadows cast by the moon.

Wen Youqing seemed to sense something, turned her head to look at Li Yin, and then smiled provocatively at Qi Shixu.

He deliberately moved closer to Li Yin and gently rubbed his lips against Li Yin's ear. Seeing this, Qi Shixu gritted his teeth, glared at Wen Youqing, and clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles cracked.

Li Yin's ears turned red the moment she touched them. She grabbed Wen Youqing's sleeve and said coldly, "Wen Youqing, behave yourself."

Wen Youqing smiled and said softly, "Okay, Madam." He drew out the word "Madam" very long, his tone tender and ambiguous.

Li Yin looked up at the roof, and Wen Youqing immediately knew that Li Yin wanted to walk on the roof. He gently tugged at Li Yin's sleeve and said, "Madam, it's dark and windy, you'll easily catch a cold if you walk on it."

After saying that, he pulled Li Yin along the corridor. The red pillars, hidden in the darkness, added a touch of eeriness.

Wen Youqing held Li Yin's hand tightly, so tightly that it turned Li Yin's hand red, causing her to frown slightly.

She sighed helplessly. One thing after another had happened today. Two people had gone crazy in front of her at the same time, one reckless and the other desperate.

The moon hung in the sky, casting its light, which was mixed with a chill, onto Wen Youqing's shoulders, hair, and eyes... Li Yin unconsciously looked over, and Wen Youqing also turned her head to meet his eyes.

In Wen Youqing's eyes, there was the moon, there was her, and there was sadness... Li Yin was taken aback at first, and her fingers, hidden in her sleeve, moved slightly. She wanted to gently brush past Wen Youqing's eyes and wipe away Wen Youqing's sorrow.

When Wen Youqing saw Li Yin looking at him, he smiled and turned his head away. The two walked for a while and then arrived at the door.

A man dressed in a red official robe stood upright like a pine tree. Upon seeing Wen Youqing arrive, he quickly stepped forward, bowed respectfully, and said, "Young Master Wen."

Qi Yanghui bowed, then withdrew his hand. He glanced at Li Yin beside him. Both of them were covered in blood, and both were beautiful. Standing together, they were indeed a perfect match.

Wen Youqing reached for her waist and tossed the longsword out. Qi Yanghui was shocked and rushed forward to catch it. This was his family's treasure! If it got damaged, his grandfather would scold him to death.

Wen Youqing said, "Lord Qi, your son has no respect for his teachers. Disrespecting teachers is tantamount to contempt for the law. According to the law, he should be beheaded and his head displayed to the public."

Upon hearing this, Qi Yanghui exclaimed in surprise, almost dropping what he was holding. He knew Qi Shixu's character well; he respected his teachers and was well-behaved.

Wen Youqing's nonsense was probably caused by the boy angering him. Qi Yanghui was immediately at a loss and quickly said, "Young Master Wen, please don't take it to heart. He is young and impetuous and doesn't know the rules. How about I have him go to the Wen residence to apologize to you another day?"

Wen Youqing smiled and said, "Lord Qi, are you trying to disregard the law?"

Qi Yanghui's eyes widened suddenly, and he knelt down with a "plop". He said, "Young Master Wen, please forgive me. My son has always respected his teachers. This matter is probably a misunderstanding."

Wen Youqing's words were heard by Qi Yanghui, but she was speaking to Li Yin. He spoke in a calm tone, as if he were talking about a trivial matter, saying, "Then let's behead him at noon tomorrow. I will be there in person. What do you think, Lord Qi?"

Li Yin looked into Wen Youqing's eyes, which were filled with madness, like surging waves, wanting to engulf him and drag him down with her.

She smiled and said to Wen Youqing, "We've only been married for a few days. It's not good to see bloodshed. Why don't we choose someone with less blood to kill? I think Lord Qi is quite good."

Qi Yanghui stared wide-eyed in shock. What did this little girl say? Kill him? How could Wen Youqing possibly agree to such an absurd thing? But just as he was relieved, his heart jumped again.

Wen Youqing smiled, nodded, and said, "Yes, okay, I'll do as you say, Madam."

Qi Yanghui said urgently, "This is against the rules."

Wen Youqing said softly, "What's wrong with this?"

Li Yin said, "This is indeed against the rules. If we catch Lord Qi in the act one day and then kill him, we can avoid criticism. What do you think, my husband?"

Wen Youqing smiled. He knew this was just Li Yin's rhetoric, a way to divert attention and then defuse the situation. He was originally so angry that he didn't want to follow Li Yin's lead and was determined to kill Qi Shixu today. But Li Yin always managed to stir his heart with a single sentence, a single word, or a single action, making him fall for him.

Li Yin, you are truly my poison, and you can only be my poison.

This was the first time he had ever fallen in love with poison and found it incredibly enjoyable.

Li Yin, you've won again.

He smiled gently and said softly, "You're right, Madam. I'll do whatever you say."

Qi Yanghui felt a weight lift from his heart once again. It was a close call; he thought he was going to lose his life. He knew Wen Youqing's true identity, and just based on that, he was certain that she would keep her word. Given her personality, she would definitely do it.
