Healing wound medicine

Healing wound medicine

Everyone was startled by the sound, which was much louder than before. They were curious and wanted to see what was happening, but fearing Zhao Lianying's tyrannical power, no one dared to look up at her.

The wind howled all around, and rustling sounds could be heard in the distance, along with occasional laughter. Li Yin could guess what Zhao Lianying was planning. Right now, she was outnumbered and outmatched, which was very disadvantageous for her.

With a thud, she knelt down and kowtowed to the ground, scraping her forehead and drawing blood. She said softly, "Your Highness, I don't know where I offended you, causing you to hurt yourself to... vent your anger. It was my fault, and I beg Your Highness's forgiveness. I am but a humble commoner, how can I compare to Your Highness, who is of noble birth?"

The hem of the skirt was stained with dust, but it didn't feel dirty. The darker edges, turning from purple to a dark gray, actually gave it a unique beauty.

The footsteps grew louder, and the surroundings became quieter. The trees swayed and the shadows of the trees stopped flickering. Only the leisurely sound of footsteps remained.

The palace servants bowed and greeted, "Greetings, Your Highness the Fifth Prince."

The women in their respective positions immediately stood up, turned around and bowed to a man in a purple robe. The man had a sharp, dark eyebrow and a majestic air about him. He raised his hand slightly, his movements slow and gentle, and his face remained expressionless, giving people a sense of authority without anger.

After bowing, everyone stood upright, awaiting the prince's decision.

Behind the prince followed a group of people, all of whom were scions of prominent families in the capital. Each of them was well-known and handsome, but among them, Wen Youqing was the most stunning.

This man was always smiling, with a gentle temperament, a face like jade, a physique like a pine tree, and a character like bamboo. He was truly the so-called "ideal man" in the eyes of many women.

When Gu Si saw Wen Youqing in the crowd, her eyes widened. Her gaze was filled with admiration as she stared intently at Wen Youqing. However, afraid of being noticed, she would only steal a few glances before lowering her head to savor the moment in her mind, a smile playing on her lips.

Zhao Jianxiao stopped a short distance away and saw the girl in purple respectfully kowtowing to his half-sister, muttering something softly. He overheard her and understood what she meant.

He sensed something was wrong as soon as he heard that crisp sound. He was all too familiar with Zhao Lianying's words and actions. Royals don't suffer defeats, but "harming" or "being beaten" are both disgraceful to the royal image. "Self-harm" subtly separates the responsibility from the royal family and pushes it onto Daoping alone.

He usually turns a blind eye to his sister's behavior, but today, unfortunately, she's caused trouble right in front of him. To harm her, she only knows how to use such despicable methods. She's just as stupid as her mother. I really don't know how they've survived.

Zhao Jianxiao slowly stepped forward, took Li Yin's arm, and helped her up, saying, "Miss, please don't take it to heart. My little sister is just a child and we've spoiled her. Please don't take it to heart."

Li Yin lowered her head and stared at Zhao Jian's hand with its distinct knuckles on her arm, suppressing her discomfort and refraining from pulling her arm back.

A sharp pain shot through his head, and blood slowly trickled down from the cut on his forehead. The warm, moist, and thick liquid crawled slowly, and after falling about three finger-widths, Li Yin looked up uncomfortably.

She was like a fairy in a painting, with eyebrows as dark as mountains. The handprint on her face had faded a bit and was lighter in color, looking like pink makeup from a distance. Her eyes were red at some point, and she was about to cry but couldn't. Her eyes were full of emotion and tenderness. Even Zhao Jianxiao, who was used to seeing beautiful women, was startled.

His fingers twitched slightly, as if he were about to reach down and touch Li Yin. However, his joints moved first, and with a "whoosh," a fan inlaid with jade opened instantly, separating the two of them.

Wen Youqing removed Zhao Jianxiao's hand from Li Yin's and stood between the two, saying, "Your Highness, this person is from the Wen family and does not belong to the royal family."

Zhao Jianxiao withdrew his hand and smiled, saying, "This is the royal garden, but it may also become someone else's garden in the future."

His words implied that he was a member of the royal family, and also suggested that no matter how powerful the Wen family was, they could not surpass the imperial power. The second half of his sentence revealed his ambition. On the surface, he was referring to a certain person, but he was still referring to him. It also implied that if the Wen family wanted to take sides, they should also express their intentions and make some gestures.

The scions of prominent families present were not the so-called good-for-nothings. The principles they had been taught since childhood and the poetry and books they had read were not just for show, but rather to teach them how to understand the hidden meanings in words and listen to the implied messages.

They all understood the unspoken message, but they didn't show it, pretending not to understand, and just listened to Wen Youqing, curious about his stance.

Upon hearing this, Wen Youqing smiled faintly and said, "The Wen family does not engage in factional strife. Has Your Highness forgotten this saying? How come someone older than me has a worse memory than me?"

Zhao Jianxiao's smile froze. He said, "I just forgot for a moment. I still remember what you said."

Seeing Zhao Lianying kneeling on the ground, Zhao Jianxiao helped Li Yin up. At first, she was angry, but when she saw the look of surprise and amusement in Zhao Jianxiao's eyes when he saw Li Yin, she couldn't help but smile. This only benefited her royal brother, but it was extremely advantageous to her. However, there was just one person who appeared: Wen Youqing.

He, who has never liked crowds, why is he here today, and even standing up for a woman? This woman is just the daughter of a merchant from a small place, how can she compare to his status and position? Why choose her and not him? Why?

Unwillingness surged like waves, layer upon layer, piling up densely, much like the signs of a tsunami; bitterness flowed endlessly, reaching the very core of one's heart.

She slowly rose, pulled out the hairpin from her head, and walked slowly closer. Just as she was about to stab Li Yin's neck, someone grabbed her wrist. The person moved quickly, swiftly closing the fan with a "whoosh," and gently touched Li Yin's waist with the fan handle, pushing Li Yin forward half a step and loosely encircling him.

Wen Youqing took another half step forward and grabbed Zhao Lianying's wrist. His eyes were filled with disdain as he looked at her. This look was like a knife. Zhao Lianying was thrown away. She looked panicked and quickly said, "No, Brother Wen, it's not like that. I didn't mean to hurt her."

Li Yin looked up at Wen Youqing, the faint scent of bitter medicine lingering around his nose again, a scent that smelled bitter but gave him a strange sense of peace.

Blood dripped from her forehead to her brow, and a hand gently wiped it away. Wen Youqing looked down at her, at the wound on her forehead, her eyes filled with complex emotions.

Wen Youqing grabbed Li Yin's sleeve and said to Zhao Jianxiao, "Fifth Prince, please excuse us." His words were polite, but when he left, he pulled Li Yin away without looking back. His behavior was arrogant, but no palace servants dared to stop him.

Li Yin was pulled along by him, and after walking around for a while, they arrived at a garden. There were stone chairs and benches in the garden, and the stones were clean and smooth, so it was obvious that someone had cleaned it.

He pulled Li Yin down to sit, then took out a bottle of medicine from his sleeve and asked, "Would you like me to do this, or would you like to do it yourself?"

Just as Li Yin was about to reply, the man walked over and gently touched Li Yin's forehead with his fingertips, which were covered in medicine. He said, "Let me take care of your injury, young lady."

Li Yin was speechless. She reached out to grab Wen Youqing's hand, but Wen Youqing deliberately tripped her up. In the struggle, Li Yin's hand touched the wound on her forehead, and she hissed in pain.

Upon hearing this, Wen Youqing softened his movements and teased, "So it turns out you do feel pain, Miss. I thought you didn't."

After speaking, he took out a white silk handkerchief and gently wiped away the bloodstains left on Li Yin's forehead. The red blood on the white cloth, like a red claw in the snow, was very conspicuous. He carefully put it away.

Li Yin said, "When did I say I didn't know?"

After applying the last bit of medicine, Wen Youqing said, "Zhao Lianying only slapped herself, and you broke your head."

Li Yin laughed upon hearing this. She said, "If I don't do this, what should I do? Should I slap myself, or slap her so that she can fabricate lies and be exposed by the palace servants?"

Wen Youqing handed her hand to Li Yin and said, "Using connections, the Wen family identity is quite useful."

Li Yin raised an eyebrow slightly upon hearing this. She said, "No one believes me, and besides, I'm not familiar with the Wen family." She then looked at the hand Wen Youqing was offering and asked, "What's this?"

“Didn’t you want to grab me just now? You can grab me now. I won’t dodge.” Wen Youqing said, looking at Li Yin, before lowering her eyes.

When Li Yin saw the slender, well-defined hand in front of him, he was amused and said, "I was just trying to get the medicine, not your hand."

Upon hearing this, Wen Youqing silently withdrew his hand. He kept his eyes lowered and said gently, "Miss, will you blame me for not telling you that my surname is Wen?" He spoke these words cautiously, as if afraid that Li Yin would be angry.

Li Yin replied decisively, "Of course." However, she paused for a moment before continuing, "However, I can't entirely blame you. It was my fault for not asking you. You didn't lie to me either. I already had my suspicions when I heard you praising Young Master Wen."

Wen Youqing listened silently, then looked up at Li Yin and smiled, saying, "Miss, you are very clever."

I like it even more now.

Li Yin felt a little embarrassed by the praise and didn't know what to say. She just stared at Wen Youqing, but when she met Wen Youqing's tender eyes, she turned her head away.

Seeing this, Wen Youqing slightly curved her lips. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves, casting swaying shadows. Sunlight streamed through the gaps in the fabric, scattering across Li Yin's body. The gold threads outlining her skirt shimmered, the light spreading in layers. Wen Youqing didn't look at Li Yin's face but stared at the skirt, then said, "Wait, the banquet will officially begin soon. Your clothes are dirty; you should change them."

Li Yin looked at Wen Youqing, who was looking down, her expression unreadable. She said, "Okay."

After saying this, Wen Youqing got up, turned around and left. As she walked, her fingers kept stroking the silk cloth stained with red blood. Her slender fingers gently circled the silk cloth, carefully wiping it and playing with it, a smile on her lips.

Li Yin, you're still caught in the middle.

Li Yin.

Li Yin, my wife, we are about to get married, and I am so looking forward to it.

When she turned the corner, she encountered an acquaintance, Zhao Jianxiao, who was dressed in purple. Wen Youqing felt annoyed and picked up what she was holding, hiding it in her sleeve. She then respectfully greeted Zhao Jianxiao, saying, "Greetings, Your Highness the Fifth Prince."
