Master went mad
Not far away, a green figure slowly came into view, and he looked up.
The man smiled gently when he saw him.
Upon seeing this, Zhao Song also smiled.
Li Yin and Yu Ling really do look exactly alike, but they give off completely different vibes. Li Yin is like bamboo, while Yu Ling is like the moon.
Lonely, yet shining solely upon him.
Inside his sleeve, the hand that had touched Li Yin clenched into a fist. He shrank back and hid it behind his back, seemingly not wanting Yu Ling to see it.
Upon seeing him, Yu Ling took three steps forward, knelt down, and said, "Master."
Zhao Song gently raised his hand, staring at Yu Ling's neck, and saw the familiar red mole. He said, "Li Yin, we will switch identities, and you will marry me in her place."
Upon hearing this, Yu Ling was taken aback at first, then she knelt down and said, "Master, Li Yin has already..."
Before she could finish speaking, Zhao Song frowned slightly and raised his hand to interrupt her. Faced with the rules, she had no choice but to swallow her words.
Zhao Song turned his head and looked at the chessboard in front of him. He said in a calm tone, "Wen Youqing's actions are no slower than ours. We'll assassinate her tonight."
Yu Ling raised her head, which had been lowered, and said, "The Wen family is heavily guarded. Going there now would only be courting death. Aren't the people we send there clearly going to their deaths?"
Upon hearing this, Zhao Song frowned again and said, "Get out."
These words carried a hint of anger. Upon hearing them, the maid beside her immediately lowered her head, took a step back, and then turned and left.
As Yu Ling reached out to put his hand on his knee and was about to get up, Zhao Song quietly took a black chess piece into his hand. He aimed at Yu Ling's hand on his knee, and with a "whoosh," the chess piece flew out and landed heavily on the back of Yu Ling's hand.
A red mark was immediately left behind. The master was angry. Seeing this, Yu Ling lowered her head. She did not understand why the master was angry.
Zhao Song said, "Did I tell you to get up?"
Yu Ling respectfully replied, "No."
Zhao Song reached out and grabbed the armrest of the chair, then stood up. He walked slowly to Yu Ling's side, squatted down, and picked up the black chess piece from the ground.
He said, "Yuling, you've become quite merciful lately."
He reached out and played with the black chess piece in his hand, then put his hand down and turned his head to look at Yu Ling, who was kneeling. He gently raised his hand and stroked the hair on Yu Ling's face.
Then, he stood up and said to Yuling, "Get up."
Upon hearing this, Yu Ling stood up. Zhao Song reached out and touched her wrist, and she did not pull away.
Zhao Song gently stroked Yu Ling's wrist, then placed Yu Ling's hand on his neck, his fingertips lightly brushing against Yu Ling's Adam's apple, only this time he swallowed softly.
Yu Ling stared blankly, her fingers slightly bent, but Zhao Song didn't give her time to react, directly covering her hand with his.
For a moment, his heart seemed to race as well. Yu Ling's heartbeat began to synchronize with Zhao Song's, both fast and frantic.
Upon noticing this, Yu Ling's ears turned red. She tried to stop, but Zhao Song wouldn't let her go. He held Yu Ling's wrist tightly and smiled at this.
"Yuling, you like me," he said, his tone full of certainty.
Yu Ling did not refute, but her face turned even redder, like the sunset, which was intoxicating. However, at this moment, she was also intoxicated.
Master, master, he is the master, but what about me?
He was just a lowly bodyguard, a tool for his master, and a personal antidote.
She didn't want to ask for too much, nor did she wish to ask for too much; some things were better left unseen.
Upon seeing this, Zhao Song grabbed Yu Ling's hand and pulled her close, then gently kissed her lips.
Soft and sweet, this was something he would never have done before. He and Yu Ling had actually been intimate for a long time, but each time it was like completing a task; he was just taking from her.
Suddenly, a faint bitterness welled up in my heart. Had he made mistakes all along?
He smiled and released Yuling.
He was the King of Song, he was the Zhao Song dynasty, how could he be wrong? Every step he took was right, and could only be right.
Yu Ling was stunned, her face flushed red in an instant, her pupils trembled slightly, and then she reached up to touch her lips, where there seemed to still be warmth.
Her heart warmed a little, her heart pounded wildly, and she lowered her head, momentarily thinking it was all a dream.
“Master,” she called out to Zhao Song.
Zhao Song gently placed the black chess piece in his hand into the game. It was an ambush from all sides, a dead end. He smiled when he saw it.
It's unclear whether he's laughing at the chess game, or... at himself.
He believes he is right, but he also doesn't believe he is right.
Zhao Song said to Yuling, "You should stay out of the Wen family's affairs from now on. It's not your place to interfere, so you can rest assured."
Yu Ling said, "Yes." Then he stood aside and watched Zhao Song sit down in the chair.
Zhao Song asked, "What do you think of this situation?"
Yu Ling said, "A dead end."
Upon hearing this, Zhao Song smiled and said, "A viable situation is one where you are put in a desperate situation and then you can survive."
Yu Ling couldn't understand, so he gently picked up a white piece and said, "Come here, sit down, I'll teach you."
Upon hearing this, Yu Ling sat down opposite Zhao Song. She watched as Zhao Song gently placed the white chess piece in the very center, but she still didn't understand.
Seeing her like this, Zhao Song gently tapped the spot where she had placed her piece with his finger and said, "Look here."
Yu Ling looked over upon hearing the sound, her gaze fixed intently on the chessboard. The player was also watching her intently, though neither of them noticed.
In the basement, Li Yin heard a familiar voice, so she took another step up to hear it more clearly.
After listening for only a short while, Li Yin realized that the relationship between the two was not as simple as that of master and servant, and that she had probably already secretly fallen in love with him.
No wonder Yuling was so disobedient to the maid who examined him. At the time, we just thought Yuling thought the method was stupid, but we never expected there was another reason behind it.
She heard everything and learned that the Prince of Song seemed to have a bad relationship with the Wen family.
But didn't the Prince of Song really like the pastries from the Wen family? And the manager of the Wen family seemed to welcome the Prince of Song quite a bit, so their relationship should be pretty good.
She frowned slightly. The Wen family was heavily guarded, and almost all the assassination attempts she sent there failed. So why did Yuling manage to enter the Wen residence back then?
Could it be that Wen Youqing already knew all along and was just going with the flow?
Based on her understanding of Wen Youqing, it was indeed possible.
A faint chill suddenly crept into my heart.
She took a deep breath. Fortunately, she had reached an agreement with the Prince of Song, exchanging her identity as a daughter of the Li family for a new one, thus completely escaping her predicament and parting ways with Wen Youqing. It was a win-win solution.
The conversation between Yuling and Zhao Song lasted until dusk.
Li Yin had long lost her joy upon hearing this, so she returned to the bed and lay there quietly.
Inside the dungeon.
The guard at the gate was dozing off. His eyes were blurry, whether from the fog or the evening breeze. He rubbed his eyes and yawned, but when he looked up, he met a pair of wolf-like eyes, and he immediately shuddered.
Before she could finish speaking, the man suddenly felt a chill on his neck, followed by a heat. He then saw a gash on his neck, from which blood was gushing out.
With a "thud," he fell to the ground, his eyes wide open, a hint of bewilderment in them.
Wen Youqing raised his hand, took out a handkerchief, and wiped his face elegantly. Then he said, "There are still people here who aren't allowed in?"
The guard behind her shook his head, and Wen Youqing casually tossed the dagger aside.
There was another person following behind Wen Youqing. The person was dressed in black. When he saw that Wen Youqing had lost something, he immediately reached out and caught the dagger, then put it away.
He looked at his master walking ahead, whose green robes were now stained with a bright red.
Wen Youqing walked further in, his pace quickening. His rationality was nearing its limit. He desperately wanted to keep Li Yin by his side. Why did Li Yin always act on his own initiative? Couldn't he rely on him for a while?
Thinking this, he quickened his pace by a third. The person following behind Wen Youqing was clearly struggling. He didn't know why, but he knew that his master was very angry.
If their master got angry, they would be in big trouble. He prayed that Li Yin could calm their master down and that she wouldn't disappear before their master saw her, otherwise...
The consequences would be severe; he shook his head, not daring to think about it.
Wen Youqing suddenly stopped walking. The cell was empty, but his heart was filled with rage.
Li Yin.
Why are you being so naughty?
Upon seeing this, he suddenly laughed, and the people following behind him didn't dare to breathe.
He was filled with bitterness; it was all over now. All he could ask for was that his master wouldn't go crazy over him, otherwise he would be willing to do anything else.
Wen Youqing turned around and said in a slightly angry tone, "Go to the Prince Song's residence."
Around midnight, an uninvited guest arrived at the Prince Song's residence and barged in.
Inside the room, the candlelight was dim and flickering, casting long shadows of the two people.
Yu Ling stared intently at the spot Zhao Song had pointed to. She appeared to be thinking, but her mind was in turmoil.
It was already dark. Usually at this hour, if one wanted to stay, it meant...
Seeing that she was lost in thought, Zhao Song gently raised his hand and tapped Yu Ling's head, saying, "Focus."
However, a shout suddenly came from outside the door, "Young Master Wen, you can't barge in, the Prince is already asleep."
These were just polite words, since the candlelight was still on. A few faint, slightly blurred figures could still be seen.
Upon hearing this, Yu Ling stood up, but just as she was about to leave, Zhao Song grabbed her hand and said to her, "Stay here."
As he spoke, he looked out the window, staring at the slightly blurry figure.
Wen Youqing, it seems you really care about Li Yin.
So, if you saw her in my arms, what would your expression be?
