Such a good relationship

Such a good relationship

Wen Youqing repeated it to herself, then slowly curled her lips into a smile. This person was like a blank sheet of paper, but Wen Youqing felt that his true nature was just like hers—dark, he was just good at pretending.

He wanted to see what the man looked like under the white cloth.

Li Yin, what kind of person are you really?

...

The wind blew and the curtains fluttered, and the slanting rain entered the curtains, somehow avoiding the eaves and dampening Wen Youqing's back. Li Yin reached out and pulled the curtains that were swaying in the wind.

Li Yin turned his head, looked at Wen Youqing, and asked with concern, "Are you wet?"

Wen Youqing looked up, smiled gently, and said, "It's wet."

After that conversation, the two stopped talking and waited until the carriage arrived at the Wen residence.

The carriage stopped, and a blue oil-paper umbrella was handed to her. Wen Youqing reached out and lifted the curtain, taking the umbrella.

Li Yin then got up, and Wen Youqing went out before her, holding a green umbrella in the drizzling rain.

As Li Yin hesitated about when to go out, she saw a hand with distinct knuckles gently pull open the curtain, and the person said softly, "Madam."

Li Yin reached out his hand. Unseen by Li Yin, but just behind the curtain, Wen Youqing was smiling, her eyes fixed on Li Yin's slender hand, which she couldn't help but gently rub.

His smile widened, and when he saw Li Yin bend down, come out, and look up at him, he returned to his usual self.

The rain fell heavily, splashing onto the ground like lotus blossoms, landing on the eaves, lightly touching the shoulders, and gradually wetting the corners of her clothes. Seeing this, Wen Youqing tilted the umbrella even further towards Li Yin.

Half of her shoulder, slightly exposed to the rain, was stained in a short time, turning from blue to dark green. It wasn't bad-looking, but the uneven color made it look a little messy.

Li Yin came down with Wen Youqing. Not a drop of rain got on her. Just as she was about to marvel at how big the umbrella was, she looked up and saw that half of Wen Youqing's shoulder was wet. She quietly reached out and took Wen Youqing's hand that was holding the umbrella, gently straightening it.

Wen Youqing lowered her eyes, not looking at Li Yin, but slightly curved her lips and smiled.

The maid at the door, dressed in blue with her hair neatly styled and wearing an ancient sandalwood Buddhist bracelet, was waiting anxiously to the side. Seeing that the two had not yet come over, she quietly stepped aside. They were truly two troublemakers. If either of them got wet or caught a chill, the lady would worry. Neither of them was easy to take care of.

They stared intently, pleading with the two to come quickly. Fortunately, although the process was agonizing, it was short.

Li Yin and Wen Youqing stood under the porch, folded their umbrellas, and saw a maid in blue come forward. She quickly took the umbrella and winked at the maid carrying a lantern beside her.

The maid in purple hurriedly stepped forward, the bells on her hair still jingling softly as she swayed. She had large, innocent eyes. She glanced at Wen Youqing, then took a step back, and looked at Li Yin before handing over the red lantern in her hand.

Li Yin took the lantern and found it rather endearing, given the person's somewhat clumsy manner. She looked down at the lantern, which was well-made and extremely light, almost as if it had no frame. Just as she was about to look up, she noticed the person's clothes, and the hem of the clothes looked increasingly familiar.

This is... the person who went to the study. Just thinking about what she and Wen Youqing did in the study made her blush.

When Wen Youqing saw Li Yin beside her, she blushed, smiled gently, and thought to herself, "My lady is so cute."

Seeing this, Sister Xu glanced at the maid in purple, then at Li Yin, and looked at the smile on Wen Youqing's lips, completely baffled.

She could only force a smile and said, "Madam Wen, the hot water is ready. Shall we go to Changzhu Pavilion or Young Master's Pear Blossom Garden?"

Li Yin said, "Changzhuxuan."

Sister Xu then looked up at Wen Youqing and asked respectfully, "Young Master, are you going to Changzhuxuan with Madam or..."

Upon hearing this, Wen Youqing raised an eyebrow and replied, "Changzhuxuan."

Hearing the expected answer, Sister Xu smiled gently and led the way.

Li Yin's face flushed and her ears turned red when she heard those three words. She followed behind Sister Xu and took a big step, trying to distance herself from Wen Youqing.

But Wen Youqing took two steps forward for every step she took. Sister Xu listened to the commotion behind her but didn't dare to ask anything. She just smiled and thought to herself, "Madam and Young Master have such a good relationship. They can't be separated for a moment."

Unable to shake off Wen Youqing, Li Yin had no choice but to accept his fate and slowed down. Wen Youqing smiled upon seeing this and said softly, "Madam, why walk so fast?"

Li Yin's ears turned even redder. She remained silent and simply walked on.

Wen Youqing's smile deepened. Seeing Li Yin like this, she found him adorable. She then said, "My lady, are you angry that we chose the same place?"

Upon hearing this, Li Yin stopped and looked at Wen Youqing, who then also stopped.

Li Yin said, "You know that, yet you still want me to be angry. Wen Youqing, are you doing this on purpose?" Wen Youqing stared straight at Li Yin, noticing her ears turning even redder as she spoke.

Upon hearing this, Wen Youqing said innocently, "I'm wronged, Madam. Changzhuxuan has two natural pools, which are the best places to heal injuries."

Li Yin said, "Two pools? How come I didn't know that? And what about your injury?" Hearing Wen Youqing's words, Li Yin then remembered that when he saw Wen Youqing, one of his hands was bleeding.

I originally thought Wen Youqing had killed someone else, but I never expected it to be his own.

Wen Youqing smiled faintly and said softly, "Madam, you are concerned about me."

Li Yin was taken aback, then lowered her eyes. Taking advantage of her moment of distraction, Wen Youqing took her hand and reached for his arm. He said, "Here, there's a big wound. It hurts a lot. Madam, if you can comfort me, it won't hurt anymore."

The rain continued to fall, pattering on the green tiles and splashing water. A gentle breeze blew, and the lamp in Li Yin's hand swayed slowly, just like Li Yin's flustered heart and confused mind.

Sister Xu was puzzled by the footsteps behind her, which gradually faded away. Feeling strange, she turned around and saw this scene: the two of them were flirting and whispering sweet nothings, saying things like "be gentle with me." What was even more disturbing was that these words came from her young master's mouth.

For a moment, she couldn't look her young master in the eye. She felt that seeing him as a wagging-tailed dog was an illusion, which was quite terrifying.

As expected, Madam Ding's worries were unnecessary. The only person in the world who could tame the young master was probably her wife, Miss Li.

Li Yin sensed a burning gaze, so he immediately withdrew his hand, turned around, and hurriedly followed.

Wen Youqing smiled gently as she saw Li Yinruo's somewhat flustered back.

My dear wife, you are so adorable that I just want to tease you.

Seeing that the people were following, Sister Xu quickly continued to lead the way. After walking for a while, they finally came into view a patch of green after rounding the last corner.

Upon arriving at the destination, she bowed to Wen Youqing and then said softly to Li Yin, "Madam, this way please."

Li Yin followed and they finally arrived at a pool inside a room; no wonder he hadn't noticed it the first time.

When Li Yin arrived at the destination, Sister Xu was about to leave, but Li Yin stopped her.

Li Yin said, "I don't know, could you tell me where Wen Youqing's place is?"

Upon hearing this, Sister Xu smiled and said, "Madam and young master have such a good relationship. Why don't you go with the young master?"

Upon hearing this, Li Yin gently tightened her grip on the lantern she was holding. She lowered her eyes to conceal her emotions, but her heart was pounding harder and harder with each beat. She put on a good act, but the swaying lantern, like her flustered heart, quietly betrayed her.

Seeing the lantern swaying, Sister Xu understood and smiled again before saying, "The other place is about a hundred paces away across from here."

Having explained these things, she left.

Incense was lit inside the room, its smoke rising in a wisp, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. By the pool, the steam rose in a misty haze, like clouds and fog, both hazy and chaotic, as if they were of one mind.

Li Yin took off his clothes, sank down, felt the water, and slowly adjusted himself until he calmed down before slowly surfacing again.

A hundred paces away, Wen Youqing was toying with the blood-stained silk, his movements slow and gentle.

Someone came and gently knocked. He kept his eyes down, staring at the thing in his hand. Only when the person spoke did Wen Youqing raise his head.

The man, dressed in black and blending into the night, bowed respectfully, knelt on the ground, and said, "Master, should we still take action against the Qi family?"

Wen Youqing paused in his work and said, "Keep an eye on it and wait for the right time."

The man replied, "Yes." These past few days, his master has been acting increasingly strangely. He actually changed the temporary mission and even chose to take action himself. Originally, he thought that the master would slaughter an entire family as before before stopping, but unexpectedly, nothing happened. It's really too strange.

Wen Youqing smiled, and suddenly said to the person, "You think I've been acting strangely lately?"

The man quickly and skillfully kowtowed, saying, "Your subordinate dares not."

Wen Youqing didn't even glance at the person, but stared at the blood-stained silk cloth on the hand, muttering to herself, "Strange..."

Then he smiled, gently raised his hand, and the man understood and left.

Wen Youqing said softly, "I never thought that this word would happen to me one day."

After saying this, he stood up, gently placed the silk cloth in an exquisitely carved box, then placed it on the table. He glanced at it, then took the clothes, draped them over the screen, and went into the water after taking off his clothes.

After a while, the rain outside stopped, the sky suddenly brightened, and the moon hung high in the sky.

Li Yin could no longer hear the fine rain, so he got up, put on his clothes, dried his hair, and after he was done, he picked up the lantern and gently pushed open the door.

Li Yin walked along the road, counting his steps in his mind. When he reached one hundred steps, he looked up, reached out, and gently knocked on the door.

After knocking three times without response, Li Yin knocked again and heard a voice say, "Come in."

Li Yin then picked up a lantern, pushed open the door, put the lantern down, and gently closed the door.

Only then did he realize that there was no one in front of him, so he looked around, but through the screen, he heard a soft laugh.

Li Yin followed the sound and found a candle burning inside the room, its flames flickering gently. Li Yin, dressed in white, was illuminated by the light, and mingled with the misty vapor, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a fairy descending amidst drifting clouds.

Wen Youqing watched from behind the screen, a smile playing on her lips.

He deliberately submerged his injured arm in the water. The pain would have made him more alert, but it couldn't soothe Wen Youqing at this moment. He let out a soft "hiss..." in pain, guiding Li Yin toward him, toward him.
