Nan Yi didn't go anywhere else. She shook off the two guards and entered the Eighth Prince's residence. The Eighth Prince wasn't there, so Nan Yi didn't dare to linger and made her way to the Ninth Prince's residence.
She knew the layout of Ah Tang's mansion all too well, but she dared not go to the main bedroom, where the Ninth Prince's Consort lived.

After weighing her options, she spread the blanket under her desk and curled up to make do for the night.
Huddled in bed, Nan Yi pondered how to get out of the city. The first three days were crucial, from Yiren's message to Fourth Master looking for her. He would never guess that she was hiding not far away.
That dog hole in the city wall must be blocked.
The night he hit her, she clearly sensed four hidden presences in the courtyard; though faint, they did not escape her ears.
Feigning a test, only two people came out.
After seven or eight days of this behavior, they finally became complacent, and the night before last, two people were missing.
