Chapter 100 The Talkative Guy

"Is it a dinner party? Then I'll dress a little more formally," Su Er asked, leaning against the doorframe.

Jiang Siyan put down his work and said, "You've met most of the people who are going once or twice, and those you haven't met are all juniors. Just dress comfortably."

"good."

After saying that, Su Er turned around and went to the dressing room to choose clothes.

Finally, she simply chose a black off-the-shoulder long dress and paired it with a coat, a simple yet elegant choice.

After Su Er finished her sign language class in the morning, she went to get a beauty treatment and took a nap. Now her skin is fair and rosy, and she doesn't need makeup.

But since it was an outing, she still simply used an eyebrow pencil to draw her eyebrows.

Just as Jiang Siyan finished his work, Su Er came out after finishing her eyebrow makeup. For a fleeting moment, he frowned.

Su Er noticed and glanced down at her clothes. They were very pretty.

"Why are you frowning?" Su Er walked up to him and asked bluntly, "Am I not good-looking?"

"Beautiful." Jiang Siyan put his arm around her waist, leaned down and kissed her lips. She was just too beautiful, instantly likable.

Su Er gave a haughty "humph," and said, "That's how it is."

It was almost time, so they set off for the private club.

Upon arriving at the club, Jiang Siyan led her to greet the familiar faces.

They've been friends since childhood, and their conversations are never the same.

Jiang Siyan was always considerate of her feelings, and would occasionally lean down and whisper in her ear to add details that she didn't understand.

But Su Er and the others had only met briefly and didn't have much in common, so when she sat next to Jiang Siyan, she mostly just listened and laughed along when something funny happened.

Su Er tugged at Jiang Siyan's sleeve, "I'm going to get something to eat."

"I'll stay with you." With that, Jiang Siyan got up.

"No need." Su Er said a little embarrassedly, lowering her voice, "I'm not a child, I don't need you to accompany me when I eat."

Jiang Siyan pinched the soft flesh of her cheek, "You're still a child, aren't you? You even cried last night."

Who would have thought he'd bring this up at a time like this? Su Er's face flushed instantly. She reached into his coat, gave him a sweet smile, and pinched his waist hard. "If you dare to talk nonsense again..."

Seeing the two of them getting along so well, Ji Hong raised his voice and teased, "Old Jiang, what are you whispering to the fairy over there? Tell us too."

Jiang Siyan ignored him, grabbed Su Er and got up from the sofa, saying, "The little girl is hungry, I'll go with her to get something to eat first, you two chat first."

Having said all that, Su Er could only force a smile.

After the two walked a little further away, Su Er pouted and complained to him, "I already said it's not necessary."

Her little quirk vanished the moment she saw the delicious food.

She especially avoids many high-calorie desserts, which she usually doesn't even have the chance to touch.

Today is a special day off for me, Su Er comforted herself.

Unlike the cheap desserts Su Er had attended at business dinners, this one was freshly baked, topped with cream, and bursting with the perfectly sweet strawberry jam filling when you put it in your mouth.

Su Er squinted her eyes in satisfaction; this craving was well worth it.

"Is it really that delicious?" Jiang Siyan reached out and wiped the cream stains off her lips.

"It's super delicious." Su Er exclaimed exaggeratedly, then took another one and fed it to him. "You should try it."

Jiang Siyan usually dislikes sweets, but surprisingly, he was quite fond of them.

"Is it delicious?" Su Er waited expectantly for his reply.

"tasty."

Her eyes shone with the joy of successfully sharing the delicious food. "I knew it!"

She simply picked out a few different kinds of items and prepared to go to the sunroom next door to enjoy the snow scene.

Jiang Siyan had originally planned to stay with her, but he heard someone shouting from the sofa in the distance, "Where's Lao Jiang? I'm going to make him drink a glass of wine today."

Su Er glanced at it and said, "You go ahead, I'll stay here by myself for a while, it'll be fine."

Jiang Siyan was still hesitating when Su Er nudged him. "Alright, hurry up and go over there. You two are making a ruckus, but I'm happy to be here in peace and quiet. Go chat for a while and then come find me."

"Don't wander off. This is a mountain. Come find me if you need anything," Jiang Siyan instructed her.

Su Er reluctantly agreed, "Okay, okay, you're such a nag."

It had snowed on the mountain, so the temperature was a bit low. The clear glass made it feel like you were in a snowy world, but the insulation here was very good. Su Er sat on the swing chair next to the heater, eating dessert, and was much happier than when she was inside.

The only person she could truly connect with in that inner room, a world of clinking glasses and lively conversation, was Jiang Siyan.

She looked out the window, and besides the sounds of laughter and cheerful conversation coming from inside, she could also faintly hear the crisp snapping sound of snow falling on branches and bending them.

Su Er pondered with some confusion. Her liking and love for Jiang Siyan were undeniable, but why did she have no interest in exploring the world related to him?

Just as the answer seemed obvious, someone suddenly called her name, "Su Er."

She looked in the direction of the voice, the confusion in her eyes fading, leaving only polite distance. She smiled slightly and greeted him, "Mr. Zhao, hello."

Zhao Linsheng scratched his head. "Just call me Linsheng like Si Yan did."

Su Er smiled slightly, but didn't respond to him. She turned her head back to look at the scenery outside the window.

A few seconds later, Zhao Linsheng suddenly spoke to her, "I watched your performance in 'Under the Moon'."
