Su Er raised her phone, squinted at the time, and then noticed several missed call notifications on the screen.
I called back, and it connected quickly. "Where are you?"
As Su Er listened to his slightly hoarse voice, it was as if she had returned to a dream, except that the voice in the dream was making a vow.
Su Er took a sip of water to moisten her throat, forcing herself to calm down. "We're almost there, we've already exited the highway."
"Have you eaten yet?" Jiang Siyan chatted with her casually.
Su Er complained to him, "I ate a little on the plane, but it wasn't very tasty."
"Would you like some red bean paste?"
Su Er called him a couple of days ago, saying she was craving the red bean paste dumplings made by Aunt Cui, and had ordered from several takeout places, but none of them tasted the same.
"Where can you just eat whatever you want..." Su Er was about to complain when she suddenly realized something and asked incredulously, "Are you in Hengdian?"
Jiang Siyan replied casually, "Yes, in your room."
Su Er sat up straight, her tone filled with undisguised surprise, "Haven't you been quite busy lately?"
Jiang Siyan's tone was casual: "I took some time to come see you. Besides, it's not like I was craving something."
Su Er was touched. "If I want to eat it, you'll bring it to me. Then I'll ask you to pick the stars and the moon from the sky for me too?"
"Naming the moon is a bit difficult, but I've heard people talk about naming stars before. You should think about it..."
Su Er quickly interrupted him, "Oh, I was just talking nonsense, that's so tacky, I don't want to."
“Okay, whatever you say.” After chatting for a few more minutes, Jiang Siyan said, “You should rest a bit more, and we’ll talk again when we meet later.”
Su Er called out to him nervously, "Wait a minute."
Her breathing was a little rapid, and those words were on the verge of coming out.
Jiang Siyan remained as gentle as ever, patiently asking her, "What's wrong?"
Su Er held her phone, gazing at the moonlight outside the window. The impulse she had barely managed to suppress surged up again because of this phone call.
She unconsciously fiddled with her nails, biting her lower lip, yet felt that these words shouldn't be said on the phone.
Su Er sighed, but ultimately held back. "Jiang Siyan, you're going to spoil me rotten."
"Is that so?" Jiang Siyan chuckled softly. "Then let's be lawless. If you cause trouble, I'll cover for you."
