There's no reason to keep Uncle Zhang waiting.
Su Er gripped the hem of her suit jacket, bit her lip lightly, and walked to Jiang Siyan's side, joining him as they entered the moonlight.
The umbrella was only so big, and in the slanting wind and drizzle, their shoulders inevitably bumped together on the narrow stone bridge.
By the moonlight, she could see clearly that the umbrella was tilted towards her.
Su Er suddenly heard her own heartbeat.
It's a bit too fast.
She glanced at Uncle Zhang walking ahead and lowered her voice, "Um... why don't you wear your coat on? You'll get a headache if you drink and then catch a chill."
"Hmm!" came a soft exclamation.
Before Jiang Siyan could answer, she stumbled and grabbed the arm beside her in a panic.
The umbrella swayed slightly, but it managed to stay upright.
Su Er, panting slightly, blushed with embarrassment and quickly tried to pull her hand back. "I'm sorry, I..."
Jiang Siyan grabbed her wrist as she tried to escape, squeezed it lightly, and chuckled deeply, "The stone path is slippery, so just hold on tight, lest you fall into this pond, and Uncle Zhang won't be able to find a pole to scoop you out."
Embarrassed, she didn't forget to retort in a low voice, "I can swim."
Jiang Siyan seemed to have heard something amazing and praised her loudly: "Oh, Er'er is really amazing."
Su Er's face burned even hotter, from the tips of her ears to her neck, as hot as the most beautiful petal on a peach branch.
It cannot be dispersed by the wind, nor extinguished by the rain.
Zhang Xuchuan didn't look back. He walked ahead and coughed lightly, thinking to himself, "This pool is only calf deep. How come I can't get him out?"
Besides, he has lifebuoys here.
