Chapter 90 A kiss isn't too much to ask, is it?

The fever reducer she took in the middle of the night took effect, and Su Er broke out in a sweat, mumbling that she felt unwell.

When you feel unwell, you become increasingly restless while sleeping.

First, she tried to push the scorching hot body next to her, but to no avail. Then she tried to reach her hand out from under the covers, hoping to get some coolness.

Jiang Siyan had no experience in taking care of people. He turned on the light and had no choice but to hold down the corner of the blanket that Su Er was restlessly pulling apart while calling Aunt Cui.

Su Er, at this moment, suddenly found the strength to break free and slapped his arm hard. With a crisp "smack", his arm turned red, and the little girl's hand also turned red.

The burning pain made Su Er, even with her consciousness blurred, furrow her brows and pout, looking like she was in great pain.

"Be reasonable. You hurt yourself and you still have the nerve to complain." Jiang Siyan pinched her rosy cheeks in annoyance.

A person in their sleep has no capacity to think about what they are saying. In the blink of an eye, they forget the pain and turn over to fight with the blanket again.

Jiang Siyan, holding his phone, got up to boil water. "Please continue, I'm listening."

Aunt Cui carefully explained the things he needed to pay attention to before changing the subject and asking, "Going to see Xiao Er?"

"Um."

"Then let Xiao Er come over to our house when she has time, and I'll cook her something delicious."

Jiang Siyan looked at the person on the bed who had kicked off the blankets and couldn't help but chuckle. He wondered why Aunt Cui liked this girl so much.

Stubborn as a mule, how can anyone like that?

Jiang Siyan was in a hurry to help her change out of her wet clothes, and replied, "Okay, you should get some rest."

He added hot water, wrung out a towel, and gently wiped away her sweat. He then rummaged through the closet and found a nightgown for her to put on.

Su Er felt exhausted and in pain all over. During the process, she was completely uncooperative, kicking and slapping him.

Jiang Siyan was a novice when it came to taking care of people, and after all that fuss, he checked the time and it was already half an hour later.

Before he could catch his breath, Su Er sobbed and cried out that she was thirsty again.

Jiang Siyan could only pour her water, help her up, and feed her little by little.

After Su Er had drunk her fill, she turned her head to the side, her meaning clear.

Jiang Siyan finished the remaining half-cup of water in one gulp, then chuckled and flicked the tip of the little one's nose in his arms: "You still say you wouldn't dare to order me around."

As luck would have it, Su Er opened her eyes half-asleep, quickly glanced at the blurry outline in front of her, closed her eyes again, and murmured, "Jiang Siyan?"

"Um."

"Bastard!" Su Er suddenly frowned and cursed. Jiang Siyan was about to pinch and rub her cheeks when he heard her muttering again, "But I..."

Jiang Siyan couldn't hear her clearly, so he coaxed her by asking, "What did you say?"

Su Er fell asleep comfortably again; it wouldn't be right to wake her up and ask her questions.

Jiang Siyan had no way to deal with her and had to keep a close eye on her body temperature.

Su Er broke out in a sweat, and her fever completely subsided in the latter half of the night, but when she woke up, all the symptoms of a cold appeared.

Stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing, runny nose—it's all there.

"Does your director have any conscience? Three days off? And you're still happy about that? You're pathetic."

He's incredibly vengeful towards me, but he's exceptionally tolerant of everyone else.

Su Er's voice was hoarse and she couldn't speak. She made a three-point gesture with her hand, widened her eyes and gestured back to him, meaning that filming was about to wrap up and three days of leave was already a lot.

Jiang Siyan pretended not to understand and was focused on teasing her. He feigned dissatisfaction and pretended to take out his phone, saying, "What kind of people are these? I'll make a call and ask."

If he makes a phone call, the entire crew will probably have to stop and rest. Su Er took it seriously and pounced on him to grab the phone.

This movement suddenly triggered a cough, accompanied by a heart-wrenching pain in the throat, a cough that wouldn't stop.

Jiang Siyan quickly brought warm water to her lips and patted her back to comfort her, "Don't hit me, don't hit me, just rest peacefully."

Su Er gulped down the drink in one go, and only then did she finally recover. Her eyes were still wet from coughing, but she couldn't speak or fight back. All she could do was glare angrily at Jiang Siyan, her eyes practically spitting fire.

Jiang Siyan pulled her back into his arms, twirling a strand of her hair as if stroking a kitten. "You've already said that we can't disturb your filming, how could I possibly disobey your orders? You agree, right, little princess?"

As he spoke, Jiang Siyan leaned down to kiss her, but Su Er quickly covered her mouth, sniffed twice, and crossed her arms in a V-shape.

Jiang Siyan nonchalantly pulled her hand away, "We were breathing face to face all night last night, if we were going to get infected, we would have done so already. Besides, you only have a cold, it's not that easy to catch."

Better safe than sorry, Su Er desperately tilted her head back, refusing to let him kiss her.

Jiang Siyan was annoyed, so he pulled the person into his arms and said in a low, husky voice with a tender smile, "Where do you think you're going?"

Just as their lips were about to touch, the doorbell rang.

Taking advantage of his momentary distraction, Su Er slipped out of his arms, quickly walked a few steps, made a face at him, and then opened the door with a smile.

As soon as the door opened, Su Er blinked, hesitating for half a second whether to close it again.

Ji Lin was carrying a bag of medicine. "Xiao Er, I heard from Sister Qin that you couldn't speak. This is quite effective. I couldn't speak when I was impotent before, and I got better after drinking this."

Su Er glanced back, afraid that Jiang Siyan might suddenly appear, took the medicine, and waved goodbye to him.

But today, Ji Lin was unusually talkative. "You need to exercise more. Look at me, yesterday..."

Ji Lin suddenly stopped, staring blankly behind her, and chuckled awkwardly, "There's someone here..."

Su Er sighed and introduced him in a voice that was as hoarse as could be: "My boyfriend."

Ji Lin seemed to have discovered some incredible secret, and suddenly pursed his lips and zipped them up. "I understand. Please say less and I won't bother you anymore."

The door slammed shut. Su Er adjusted her expression and turned around confidently, as if she wanted to write on her face, "See? I already said we're just friends." to prove her innocence.

She walked past Jiang Siyan with her head held high, and the next second she was pulled into someone's arms without any expression, and then lifted up by the waist.

As her body sank into the soft sofa, Jiang Siyan gave her no chance to escape. His burning body pressed down on her, and his only remaining rationality was to control himself from pressing down on her.

Su Er frowned in confusion, as if asking why.

Jiang Siyan's previously stern and serious expression vanished, replaced by a flirtatious air. "It's been two months. It's not too much to ask my boyfriend to kiss me, is it?"
