Chapter 132 Don't Provoke

On the last day of their trip, they returned to Paris. Shu Sui had to catch a flight back home, while Su Er had a fashion event in Paris that she could meet up with Sister Qin and the others at the airport.

After the cameras were all turned off, Shu Sui handed her an envelope-shaped card before she went through security.

Su Er asked curiously, "What is this?"

"Just open it and you'll see."

With permission, Su Er opened the envelope in front of everyone. The moment she saw the photo on the folded page, she was completely stunned.

Su Er quickly closed the folded page, stammering, unsure how to begin, "Sister Sui...you..."

Shu Sui seemed to have anticipated her reaction and nodded gently at her, "Congratulate me, Xiao Er."

Without any warning, she was suddenly told that Shu Sui was getting married.

This was even more dramatic than a movie, and Su Er even wondered for a moment if it was a hidden camera set up by the production team.

Shu Sui spoke calmly, simply telling her, "He treats me very well and doesn't care about my past."

She had faced many hardships along the way, and Su Er suddenly sensed the bitterness and hardship hidden beneath Shu Sui's resilient exterior.

Su Er held the invitation tightly, hugged her close, and offered her his sincerest blessings, "Sister Sui, I wish you happiness."

Shu Sui patted her back gently, and the two smiled at each other. "Definitely."

"Then I'll definitely give you a big red envelope."

"I'll remember that. I'll count it later, and I'll come looking for you if it's missing."

After the two said goodbye, Su Er stared at Shu Sui's retreating figure, lost in thought, the thick paper in her hand seeming to carry a sacred power.

Marriage?

Su Er silently repeated these two words in her heart; it seemed she had never considered these things before…

People lie to themselves, just like right now. Su Er blinked and quickly put those two words out of her mind.

Who was that blurry figure that appeared in her mind along with the word "marriage"? She dared not think about it too much. What was the purpose of this chaos and turmoil? She dared not delve into it either.

The seed that was planted will eventually take root and sprout.

The response to "Spring in the City" was excellent, so many period drama scripts were submitted to me.

Lin Shuqin and she made their choices together and agreed that they should not pursue the so-called leading lady position too much, but rather focus on the fullness of the character and the production team.

In the end, they selected two roles, both of which were types of roles that Su Er had never tried before, and both had good screen time. The filming location was Hengdian, and the filming schedule of each project was just right.

Su Er returned to China at the end of August and immediately joined the film crew without any rest.

With the time allotted for both films, she'll have to stay in Hengdian until the end of the year.

But distance and time are no longer problems.

She and Jiang Siyan resumed their previous long-distance relationship, but perhaps because they had been separated for half a year, their feelings for each other were even sweeter than before.

Jiang Siyan visited the set several times, and Su Er couldn't understand why she was so impatient.

Upon seeing him, she completely forgot that she was a public figure and leaned into the car window to kiss him, which was captured by paparazzi several times.

Although of course no one dared to leak the photos, they all ended up in Lin Shuqin's hands, causing Su Er to be scolded several times.

The saying goes, "A fall into a pit, a gain in your wit," but on this issue, Su Er truly stumbled several times before regaining her original rationality.

"Why did you come back to Beicheng today?" Jiang Siyan had just returned from an inspection in Jinshi. He was still wearing his outdoor jacket, which gave him a more ascetic and refined air than when he wore a suit.

Su Er's message came suddenly. A few hours ago, she sent him a screenshot of flight information with just two words: "Pick me up."

The little girl is quite domineering now.

Su Er got into the car, stared at him for a few seconds, suppressed the flutter in her heart, sat properly in her seat, and said, "An actor in the crew took leave before filming my scenes, so he's free today. I'm coming back to make it up to you."

Jiang Siyan's birthday is in a few days. She couldn't be with him last year, and this year it coincides with Shu Sui's wedding, so she can't be with him again.

Although Jiang Siyan said he was fine, Su Er didn't really want to waste time with him.

That's why I rushed back as soon as I had a spare moment.

Jiang Siyan wanted to pull her into his arms and hug her, but Su Er, contrary to her usual behavior, stretched out her hand to block him and said seriously, "What are you doing? Sit down properly."

Jiang Siyan was amused by her stern face and looked at her with interest, propping his head up with his hand. "What, is this how you compensate me? You won't even let me hug you?"

Su Er glared at him, pouting and complaining, "You still dare to say that? If we get photographed again, I'm sure Sister Qin will beat me up!"

Jiang Siyan grabbed her wrist and pulled her over.

Before Su Er could struggle, he seized control of her wrist, gave her a symbolic slap with his hand around her waist, and teasingly asked, "How do you whip her? Like this?"

Thankfully, the partition was raised as soon as they got on the bus. Su Er, as if her hair had been blown off, slapped his hand and bared her teeth to scare him, "Jiang Siyan, you big hooligan, I'll bite you!"

"Okay, don't be angry anymore." Jiang Siyan pinched her puffed-up cheeks.

He'd angered someone, and now he was humbly trying to appease them, not at all annoyed; in fact, he seemed to enjoy it.

He then asked, "How's the studio preparation going?"

In fact, after the company's inaction and the subsequent online backlash, Su Er was quite disheartened by the company. If it weren't for Jiang Siyan, she might have been sidelined.
