Jiang Siyan certainly didn't go to the second bedroom. His girlfriend was there; he hadn't seen her in so long, and hadn't even had a proper hug with her. How could he let this brat take advantage of her?
Jiang Siyan put the pillow back in its original place on the edge of the bed. "This bed is so big, how could there not be enough room for everyone to sleep?"
With a "click," the bedside lamp went out, and the room was swallowed by darkness.
Su Er had slept for a while, but now she couldn't fall asleep. She blinked and looked at the two vague outlines beside her.
The three breaths mingled together, sounding very unreal.
What does it resemble? A family of three?
Su Er scoffed and curled the corners of her lips, mocking her own naive and unrealistic ideas.
Such thoughts vanished in an instant, and weariness returned, causing Su Er to fall into a deep sleep.
I didn't sleep well that night.
It was mainly the little guy lying in the middle of them who kept kicking their arms and slapping their faces.
Jiang Siyan was kicked awake several times in the middle of the night. When he touched the little guy, he found that he had fallen asleep with his head facing the foot of the bed.
Su Er slept well, but it was mainly Jiang Siyan who was warm, so the little guy wanted to stick close to him.
He was afraid of rolling over and crushing the boy, so he woke up several times throughout the night.
"Are you alright? Do you want to go back and get some more sleep? You don't look too well." Su Er supported the little one who was full of energy and playing happily on the sofa, and looked at Jiang Siyan with concern.
Jiang Siyan waved his hand, "His parents will come to pick him up in a little while. I'll go to sleep then. You can't handle this little rascal all by yourself."
Su Er couldn't help but smile when she heard this. "Aunt Cui always tells me that you were a mischievous little monkey when you were a child. If she heard you say that, she would definitely laugh until her stomach hurts."
Jiang Siyan raised an eyebrow and deliberately teased her, "Oh, you've been talking about me behind my back a lot, haven't you? What did you say about me?"
Su Er realized she had said something inappropriate and quickly turned to tease Jiang Tingxu, trying to avoid the topic in this way.
The more she tried to escape, the more interested Jiang Siyan became. He deliberately put his mouth close to her ear and breathed hot air into her ear, "Hmm? You've said a lot of bad things about me, haven't you?"
Su Er's ears turned red, and she tilted her head to avoid him: "No, don't accuse me unjustly."
"Where am I..." Before Jiang Siyan could finish speaking, Su Er heard a very crisp "snap" sound in her ear.
It was... the sound of a slap...
Jiang Tingxu had no idea what he had done and was still swinging his little hand and laughing happily. Su Er looked at the small red mark on Jiang Siyan's face, forcibly suppressing the laughter that was about to burst out, coughed lightly, held Jiang Tingxu's chubby little hand, and said in a serious tone, "Xuxu, you can't hit people, okay? Quickly let Uncle touch it, blow on Uncle's hand, and say it doesn't hurt anymore."
Jiang Tingxu, feeling a bit rebellious, ignored his uncle's clenched teeth and embraced Su Er's neck tightly. He kissed her on the cheek, pointed to the room, and said, "Let's go! Let's go!"
Jiang Siyan, his face dark, was about to pull the person out of Su Er's arms. "You brat, you've learned to hit people now, haven't you?"
Jiang Tingxu cried out, "Ahhh!" Su Er blocked Jiang Siyan's arm and advised him, "How old is he? Just tell me properly."
In an instant, chaos erupted.
The doorbell rang at that moment. The aunt opened the door, and the people inside were clearly unaware of the arrival of others, their laughter continuing.
"Ahem." Jiang Xuanji coughed lightly, covering his mouth.
The three of them looked in the direction of the sound, and the most silent one was Su Er.
"Daddy! Mommy!" The little boy, who hadn't seen his parents all night, couldn't wait to go into their arms, and Su Er couldn't hold him tightly enough.
Jiang Siyan quickly hugged him and greeted him simply, "Brother, sister-in-law, you're here."
Jiang Xuanji responded, took Jiang Tingxu's hand, glanced at Su Er, and then casually shifted his gaze back to his younger brother, "Thank you for your help last night."
Jiang Siyan didn't stand on ceremony. He glanced at the little guy with a hint of disdain, then turned around and pulled Su Er, who had her head down, away. "It's quite troublesome. It kept me up all night."
"My brother and sister-in-law," he introduced them frankly, "and my girlfriend, Su Er."
Su Er raised her eyes and smiled slightly, which was her way of greeting them. She had no intention of staying to chat with his family. She patted Jiang Siyan's shoulder and said in a low voice, "I'm going back to my room first. You two can continue your conversation."
Just as Su Er lifted her foot, the little one, who was being held in Jiang Xuanji's arms, suddenly reached out and grabbed the corner of her collar with lightning speed, "Auntie!"
Su Er held his little hand and shook it, softening her tone, "Auntie has something to do, be good, bye-bye."
After saying that, Su Er didn't linger any longer and quickened her pace back to her room.
Jiang Xuanji gave his younger brother a meaningful look, "This girl is quite nice, I heard from the old lady that..."
Although the two brothers did not grow up together, they have always had a good relationship.
"Alright, brother." Jiang Siyan waved his hand to interrupt him, somewhat impatiently, "Don't rush me along with them."
Jiang Xuanji knew he was a stubborn person, so he didn't say much. "Alright, I won't rush you. You're getting higher and higher in your position, and you know that yourself."
The two brothers chatted for a few more minutes about the transfer, but the chubby little boy in their arms couldn't sit still anymore, so Jiang Xuanji had to stand up. "Siyan, your sister-in-law and I have something to do, so we won't stay any longer."
"Then I won't keep you for dinner. I'll see you off." Jiang Siyan escorted them to the door, and as the door closed, the house, which had been bustling all night, finally returned to its usual quiet.
Su Er was practicing sign language in the study, watching a video. When she saw him come in, she paused the video. "Your brother and the others went back? Didn't you sleep well last night? If you're free this afternoon... um..."
The calm and gentle tone changed, falling into the ears as a delicate panting sound.
Jiang Siyan's warm palm touched her cheek, and Su Er tilted her head back, her arms instinctively wrapping around the back of his neck.
His kisses rained down on me, somewhat impatiently.
Su Er felt as if he was about to devour her whole, and even her cheeks ached from the kisses.
Until she couldn't breathe, she turned her head away, her lips were rubbed until they were slightly swollen, Su Er's eyes were red from being bullied, and she was breathing heavily in small gasps.
Before Su Er could react, Jiang Siyan picked her up from the chair and carried her out.
Su Er exclaimed in surprise, kicking her feet and punching him, "Hey, didn't you get enough rest last night? I still need to watch the video."
Jiang Siyan kissed her flushed cheek. "It's okay, I'll rest for a bit, you can study later."
"Just once, then. Any more... I won't have the energy," Su Er negotiated with him.
At this time, Jiang Siyan always obeyed her without question, and whatever she said went. "I'll do whatever you say."
But once you're actually in bed, it's a completely different story.
In short, Su Er was unable to return to the study that day.
