Su Er and Lin Shuqin went to have lunch first, and after lunch they strolled down the floors.
Su Er didn't make Lin Shuqin spend a lot of money; she only bought her a small, simple card holder.
She did take a fancy to a pair of cufflinks, but the price was too high. After hesitating for a long time, Su Er reluctantly took out her card and handed it to the saleswoman, "Swipe it."
Lin Shuqin nudged her arm, her face teasing, "Was it bought for that person?"
Su Er feigned nonchalance and said, "Well, let's give him a gift."
When the payment notification popped up on her phone, Su Er couldn't help but feel a tremor in her heart.
"Ding—" A text message popped up immediately afterward.
Su Er only glanced at it, but her heart tightened. She turned her head and looked around, feeling a little uneasy, and her face turned ugly.
"What's wrong?" Lin Shuqin asked with concern.
Su Er handed the phone to Lin Shuqin.
The text message read: "[Er'er, I like you! The white shirt looks so good on you!]"
Lin Shuqin frowned as soon as she saw him. "It's him again? He's started again?"
Su Er also sighed, "Yeah."
Su Er was very familiar with the tone and style of the text message.
That was probably not long after Su Er opened her Weibo account. She posted some photos of her daily life on set, which attracted a few fans.
It was around this time that an account started sending her frequent private messages, saying that it liked her a lot.
Su Er initially thought it was a fan who really liked her, so she politely replied to his message, thanking him for his support.
But later, this person started sending messages more and more frequently, and began sending her voice messages, with an increasingly enthusiastic tone.
This made Su Er hesitant to log into her Weibo account anymore. Later, no one knew how he got Su Er's phone number, but he started calling her regularly every night, saying he liked her and making some disgusting noises.
If Su Er blocks him, he will call from a different number.
Lin Shuqin has seen many obsessive fans. After learning about this incident, she immediately called the police, but since no substantial harm was caused, she could only receive a verbal warning.
After reporting it to the police, things were indeed peaceful for a few months, but recently, this person has started constantly changing his number to send messages to Su Er.
Lin Shuqin also realized the seriousness of the problem, so she put the hat and mask back on her and told her, "Be careful lately. If you feel anything is wrong when I'm not around, call me immediately. I will ask the company for another fee to hire bodyguards. You should also change the hotel you are staying at."
Su Er nodded, took the cufflinks, and lost interest in shopping any further. "Sister Qin, let's go back."
Lin Shuqin: "Okay, let's go back and check the schedule for the rest of the time, and confirm the dresses for the events in a few days."
Uncle Chen picked them up and took them back to the hotel. On the way, Su Er kept looking back and asked, "Uncle Chen, has that black Toyota been following us all the way?"
Uncle Chen glanced at the rearview mirror. "It seems so."
Lin Shuqin also became alert and was hesitating whether to call the police, but at the next intersection, the car turned.
Su Er's brows remained furrowed, but Lin Shuqin patted her back and comforted her, "It's okay, don't worry, I'll take you to a different hotel tomorrow."
Su Er turned to hug her, "Thank you, Sister Qin."
"Not at all."
The two returned to the hotel, ordered food, and spent the rest of the night in the room discussing the itinerary and future plans until almost 10 p.m.
Su Er finally passed the audition today and is extremely excited. She chatted all night and didn't seem tired at all.
But Lin Shuqin was different. Su Er wanted to talk to her about today's audition, but Lin Shuqin quickly covered her mouth and said, "Stop! I need to rest. You too, we have to change hotels tomorrow. You should tidy up all the things in this room."
Su Er readily agreed. She saw Lin Shuqin out of the room, and as soon as she closed the door, she leisurely settled back into the sofa to play on her phone.
She keeps her phone on silent most of the time, and she usually doesn't answer calls unless she's using her phone for legitimate reasons.
Upon seeing Jiang Siyan's missed call, Su Er's fingers moved across the screen much more quickly.
A few seconds after the call was dialed back, it was answered, and Su Er eagerly said, "Hello."
Jiang Siyan was used to her not answering the phone. He stopped flipping through his books, rubbed his brow, and asked, "What were you doing just now?"
"I'm talking to Sister Qin about my schedule. What about you? Are you free now?"
"I'm getting ready to go back to the hotel."
When Jiang Siyan brought her back yesterday, he told her that he was going to Tianjin on a business trip for a few days and that if she had any urgent matters and couldn't get through to him, she should call Secretary He.
Jiang Siyan rarely wentssiped with others, but he was different from the young girl.
Su Er always speaks in a high-pitched tone. She has excellent acting skills and can make even the most ordinary things sound vivid and enjoyable to listen to.
Jiang Siyan asked, "How did the audition go today?"
"That's great! I even saw Sister Qingshu today."
"Oh, then let me ask..."
"Hey, don't ask!" Su Er shouted to stop him.
Jiang Siyan chuckled softly, "Still shy?"
Su Er: "Don't try to make an exception. The outcome is what it is, good or bad. If you call them, they might think I asked you to put pressure on them."
Jiang Siyan deliberately misinterpreted her meaning, and said in a wronged tone, "So you were afraid that I would ruin your Er'er's life."
