Su Er knew the meaning behind his question. Rather than asking if she wanted to act, he was actually asking if she wanted to.
Maybe if she just nods now, she won't even need to go to the audition, and the role will still be hers.
From the moment she took that step, she knew that this relationship wasn't simply about love; self-interest was the constant theme throughout.
She knows everything.
But listening to his tone made her feel uncomfortable, and Su Er herself couldn't figure out why.
Su Er put down her pen, raised her voice, and asked him in a light tone, "What, Mr. Jiang, are you paving the way for me?"
With a doting smile, Jiang Siyan simply asked her, "Do you want it?"
Su Er looked at her reflection in his pupils, and at that moment, she felt that he would grant her any request she made.

Jiang Siyan flicked the tip of her nose, smiled calmly, and said, "I'm not afraid you'll lose face."
Su Er twisted her fingers and pleaded with him, "Let me try it myself. It's more meaningful to get a perfect score by myself. You can just be the proctor and keep the exam room clean, okay?"

Su Er nodded, pleased with what he heard, her fluffy head nuzzling against his chest.
Jiang Siyan pressed her head down and kissed the top of her head. "Alright, if you keep fiddling around, your buttons will come undone. If outsiders see this, they'll get jealous again."
Actually, they had only officially confirmed their relationship a few days ago, but perhaps because they had already been intimate enough during their last meeting, their affectionate actions felt very natural.
Just as Su Er was about to argue that she wasn't that petty, Jiang Siyan took her finger and started playing with it, saying, "I'll take you out to dinner later tonight."
This time, it was Su Er's turn to feel embarrassed.

Su Er stammered, "Jiang Siyan, do you still remember him?"
Lin Shuqin frowned slightly. "Go on."
"I've been seeing him lately..."
Lin Shuqin interrupted her intermittent words and asked, "Are you involved?"
"Hmm." Su Er said tentatively, afraid of being scolded. "You're not going to scold me?"
Lin Shuqin's expression remained calm, seemingly unsurprised. "What did I say to you?"
Before Su Er could even catch her breath, she heard Lin Shuqin continue, "But, have the terms been agreed upon? Did he say how many resources he would give you..."
Look at this circle, that's how it is. With such a huge gap in status, who would use sincerity to measure this relationship?
Su Er didn't care about these things, nor did she try to act superior. She said truthfully, "I haven't talked to him about these things."
Lin Shuqin's voice instantly rose several decibels, her gaze sharp as she stared at her, and she snapped, "You didn't talk about these things? Then what did you talk about with him? Xiao Er, don't get carried away and tell me you're talking about feelings with him!"
Su Er sighed helplessly, "I didn't."
