"Aunt Cui said you slept all afternoon, haven't you had enough sleep yet?" Jiang Siyan put down his phone, placed his hand on her shoulder, and felt the coolness of her skin.
When he first entered the room, the air conditioning made him frown.
The person on the bed was covered with a thin blanket, with her fair arms under her face, but her calves were curled up to her lower abdomen because of the cold.
The swelling on my eyelids is visibly much better than in the morning, but I've been sleeping so soundly that my face doesn't look very healthy.
Jiang Siyan placed his palm on her back. He had noticed it last night; he didn't know how much weight she had lost these past few days, and she had no soft flesh at all.
What kind of movie is this, making people so thin?
Su Er rubbed her head, her cheek pressed against her shirt, feeling uncomfortable no matter what. "I'm sleepy, I don't even want to move my fingers."
Of the loose strands of hair, there are always one or two restless ones that slip through the gaps between the buttons, stirring the skin beneath the shirt.
The culprit, however, remained completely unaware, blindly focusing on his own comfort and trying every possible way to adjust his position to make himself feel better.
Jiang Siyan's eyes darkened slightly. He reached out and scooped the person up, pulling him onto his lap.
Su Er pouted, completely unaware of the impending danger, and complained with her eyes closed, "What's wrong? I don't want to get up..."
All the unspoken words were swallowed as their lips intertwined. Su Er was held by the waist and kissed so hard that her body couldn't help but lean back.
The hand around her waist moved up, supporting her back and pressing against her burning chest.
Has it started to rain? Before the summer rain arrives, the air pressure is low, always making people feel a tightness in their chest.
Her breath was stolen at that moment, as if a torrential downpour was brewing.
Her tongue ached from being sucked, but Su Er opened her mouth willingly, her body surging with heat. She let herself indulge in the now completely unbalanced sensations, surrendering all control to him.
"Yan-ge'er, is anyone awake? It's not good to eat cold food." Aunt Cui's voice suddenly rang out from outside the door.
Through the door, a "thump" sound came from the bedroom, as if something had been bumped.
"Oh, are you alright? Did you bump into something?" Aunt Cui asked.
Jiang Siyan's voice was calm and steady as he said, "It's alright, we'll go down right away."
The footsteps outside the door faded into the distance, and the lively atmosphere inside dissipated. Su Er, with a blanket still draped over her head, sat on Jiang Siyan's lap and patted the back of his head apologetically, "I'm sorry, did I bump into you and hurt you?"
Who knew where such a small person got such strength? Jiang Siyan was caught off guard and was pushed hard by her, crashing into the wooden backrest. Before he could react, a breeze came and a thin blanket was placed over his head.
These movements were performed in one smooth motion, as if they had been rehearsed countless times.
Jiang Siyan poked her forehead and scolded, "What are you hiding for? If I don't answer, Aunt Cui won't come in."
Su Er gave a sheepish laugh. "Well, I'm used to it at home. I developed this habit when I was little because I was afraid of being caught reading random books."
Is this comparable to kissing?
Jiang Siyan, recalling how she looked like a little quail wrapped in a blanket, with a guilty look on her face, pinched her cheek with a mixture of amusement and exasperation, "Look at you, so shy about a kiss."
Their kissing went beyond just kissing. If Aunt Cui had called any later, who knows how far things would have progressed?
However, the romantic atmosphere had already been broken, and it was too embarrassing to keep Aunt Cui waiting any longer.
Su Er quickly tidied herself up and followed Jiang Siyan downstairs.
Aunt Cui smiled as soon as she saw her, "You still need to get some rest. You'll look better after a good night's sleep."
Su Er's eyes flickered, and she sat down in the chair guiltily.
She knew all too well why her cheeks were flushed and her lips were so red.
Normally, this whole thing could have been resolved by playing dumb, but Jiang Siyan kept chuckling to himself, forcing Su Er to reach out and push him, giving him a warning glare, "Stop laughing!"
Seeing that the little girl was about to get angry, Jiang Siyan calmly ladled a bowl of chicken soup for her, put it close to her ear, and said in a deep, husky voice, "Drink more chicken soup. Aunt Cui specially made it for you. It will make you look better tomorrow."
Upon hearing this, Su Er immediately covered his mouth, looking rather guilty. "You're so annoying! Jiang Siyan!"
Jiang Siyan seemed to enjoy provoking the young girl and then having to coax her in a humble manner. During one meal, Su Er almost lost her temper several times.
Aunt Cui couldn't help but laugh and scold, "Yan-ge'er, how old are you? Why are you always going to seduce Xiao Er?"
Su Er would always nod repeatedly at this point, agreeing, "That's right, how childish!"
But the next second, he was pinched on the ticklish spot on his waist and begged for mercy, saying he wouldn't dare to do it again.
After lunch, Su Er, whose energy levels were at their peak after a nap, pulled Jiang Siyan back to the walk-in closet and asked, "Which closet can I temporarily put my clothes in?"
She was very careful with every word she used.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Siyan frowned. "Temporarily... what? You're using this place as a hotel?"
"Isn't it temporary or permanent?" Su Er thought to herself, but smiled sweetly. "I'm going to go out to film soon, so it's only temporary."
Jiang Siyan chuckled, not dwelling on the matter, and leaned against the cabinet door, saying, "Put it wherever you want, as long as it's convenient for you."
Su Er nodded. She didn't have much luggage, just a few casual clothes. She had only packed half of it when her phone, which she had left outside, suddenly rang again.
She had no choice but to put down what she was doing and go out to answer the phone.
Looking at the caller ID, it was her mother calling.
When the call connected, He Yi's voice was not as calm as usual. She asked urgently, "What's the deal with that statement your company issued? What happened to you?"
"It's alright, Mom. It was just a radical fan. The police arrived in time and arrested him."
"And now? Where are you staying now? Has your company arranged for someone to protect you?" Before Su Er could respond, He Yi said, "No, I have to ask for leave to see you."
Su Er quickly stopped her, "Mom, I'm really fine. Shu Shu is here with me, so don't worry. Besides, I'm going to Hengdian to film in a few days, so you don't need to make the trip."
Su Er made several promises in succession before finally persuading her parents not to make the trip again.
Although they had disagreements about her future plans, Su Er always knew that He Yi and Su Boyuan's love for her was unconditional.
After hanging up the phone, Su Er let out a long sigh of relief and ran back to the dressing room with light steps.
"Hmm?" Her phone call lasted at least ten minutes. Why was Jiang Siyan waiting for her here?
"What are you standing here for? I'm almost done tidying up, you go wash up first..." Her voice suddenly stopped.
His eyes were fixed on Jiang Siyan's hand, and his breathing suddenly became difficult.
The blue object, small and cute, was held in his palm. Jiang Siyan, seemingly ignorant, humbly asked her, "Er'er, what is this?"
