"I'm heading out now, Mr. Jiang, watch the house." Su Er waved goodbye to him reluctantly.
Su Er arrived at the venue at just the right time. After walking the red carpet and giving a brief interview, she took her seat inside.
This year, her seat has been moved to the second row.
Su Er pulled her shawl around her shoulders and occasionally stood up to greet the friends and seniors she knew.
As the host took the stage, the awards ceremony officially began.
Su Er glanced at her phone during a brief moment when the lights dimmed; the trending topics were already dominated by tonight's award nominations.
As awards were presented one by one, some people were elated while others were disappointed.
It wasn't until the two veteran actors took the stage to present the Best Supporting Actress award that the evening's awards were finally given.
After the nominated clips were shown one by one on the big screen, the presenters called on the nominated actors again.
"This nominated actress is my junior fellow student." As she finished speaking, the camera focused on Su Er's face.
Su Er stood up slightly and greeted the seniors on stage with a smile.
"Alright, enough suspense, let's reveal the answer."
Su Er wore a calm smile, but at that moment, she could hear her own heart pounding with perfect clarity.
"The winner of Best Supporting Actress is Su Er."
In an instant, all the lights in the arena focused on her face, and her heart, which had been hanging in mid-air, finally settled down.
Su Er covered her face, her eyes welling up with tears, as congratulations echoed in her ears.
She composed herself, got up, walked down the long corridor, and finally stepped onto the stairs, where the heavy trophy landed in her hands.
Su Er gripped the trophy tightly, her voice trembling with a sob, "I am very grateful to the judges and the public for their recognition, thank you to the director, and also thank you to every actor, staff member, and everyone who supports me."
She took a deep breath, but found it hard to remain calm. Tears streamed down her face, and the award speeches she had thought of countless times seemed utterly useless at this moment.
"I've always considered myself a very lucky person to have had the opportunity to get this role, to have met such a great team, and to have met so many people who have helped me. In the days to come, I will cherish everyone's love for me, stay true to my original aspirations, and continue to work hard! Thank you everyone."
The applause was thunderous, and the lights were still dazzling as they left the stage.
There were other awards to be announced later. Su Er returned to her seat, and her phone screen was already displaying a number of trending search terms related to tonight's winners.
A few minutes later, the phone in my palm vibrated twice.
There were two new notifications, one of which was that she had won an award tonight.
Another headline reads: "Su Er intimately admires the moon with a male friend late at night, exposing her secret relationship?"
Su Er stopped looking at her phone. The excitement and joy of winning the award gradually subsided. There were still tears glistening in her eyes, but more than that, there was a calm acceptance of the situation before it all came to an end.
After the awards ceremony, Su Er gave an interview as usual.
She was surrounded by microphones, mostly congratulating her on her award or asking about her future work plans.
Towards the end of the interview, a reporter suddenly asked, "Ms. Su, first of all, congratulations on winning the award. Did you browse any hashtags related to yourself tonight?"
Su Er chuckled and shook her head. "Not yet."
The reporter wasn't surprised. Instead, he said in a relaxed, almost joking tone, "The next trending topic following your award will also be related to you."
Su Er looked puzzled. "Really?"
The reporter handed over the phone, and the picture that was displayed was the one of Jiang Siyan holding her as they "touched the moon" under the moonlight.
Su Er wasn't surprised by the photo, but the direct question still took her by surprise.
"What is your response to this photo? The man in the photo seems to have a close relationship with you. Can you reveal what your relationship is?"
As soon as he said that, the flashes of light increased significantly, and the microphones in front of him were pushed and shoved.
Lin Shuqin was giving her a meaningful look, and Su Er understood what she meant.
Tell her not to answer anything.
She spearheaded the leak, but such news often fades into silence once the parties involved remain silent.
This is why Lin Shuqin agreed to let her do this foolish thing.
Staff members came up behind her to shield her from the microphone, saying, "Excuse me, this kind of..."
Su Er grasped the microphone, then looked up, her eyes filled with deep affection.
She made no attempt to hide anything, and replied with a smile, "He's my lover, we're currently in a relationship."
"Will the people behind the camera hear it too?" Su Er wondered.
As soon as he finished speaking, the previously noisy meeting room fell into a moment of silence. No one expected Su Er to give such a straightforward answer to this matter.
But the next second, the scene got a little out of control. Everyone was talking at once, vying to ask questions and raising their microphones high in an effort to grab the latest headline.
"Can we talk in more detail? Are you an ordinary person or someone in the industry?"
"Does using the term 'lover' indicate plans to get married?"

Su Er did not answer any of these questions. Under the protection of her staff, she got into the car.
A moment later, the car door opened, and Lin Shuqin got in and sat down with a cold expression. "Drive."
Su Er glanced at her cautiously, no longer possessing the confidence she had when she held the microphone to admit their relationship.
Inside the car, Lin Shuqin's phone kept ringing, sending out voice messages one after another. Su Er herself knew that she was causing trouble for others.
"Sister Qin, you can scold me." Su Er felt guilty, so she simply spread her hands out. "Or you can hit me."
