"What's wrong? You look listless today." Ji Lin sat down next to her and used a fan to shield her face from the sun.
Su Er has been feeling rather unenthusiastic these past few days after filming. If you ask why, it's probably because... she always feels that Jiang Siyan is still angry.
Mo Qingshu had briefly recounted what had happened that night to her two nights ago.
Su Er initially thought that Jiang Siyan wouldn't be the type to get angry over something like this, but wanting to avoid letting this misunderstanding become a minor issue affecting them, she immediately called him to explain.
Just as she had expected, Jiang Siyan didn't say much, but Su Er still felt uneasy.
She shook her head, trying to stop herself from overthinking. "It's nothing."
Seeing that she didn't want to talk about it, Ji Lin didn't ask any further questions and changed the subject, saying, "You finished filming early today, right? How about we go get some hot pot together?"
Although there are many rumors about them online, it has not affected their normal relationship.
Su Er and Ji Lin got along well from the first meeting, but not in a romantic way; they were more suited to be friends.
A man and a woman getting along well doesn't necessarily mean they're only in love.
So no matter what others say, they have a clear conscience.
"Forget it, you think there aren't enough rumors about us yet?" Su Er waved her hand helplessly. She paused, then suddenly lowered her voice, "Besides, I have something to do later."
Ji Lin raised an eyebrow curiously, "Would it be presumptuous of me to ask what it is?"
"It's not presumptuous of me," Su Er thought for a moment, a hint of girlish shyness rising on her face. "I... I'm planning to go back and celebrate my boyfriend's birthday later."
The thought of seeing Jiang Siyan in a few hours filled her with joy, making her anxiety seem insignificant.
Ji Lin teased her, "Prepare a surprise for me."
Su Er nodded proudly, "Of course, it was the first birthday I spent with him."
Ji Lin gave her a thumbs up, "Then have a nice evening."
"Thank you for your kind words."
As soon as Su Er finished filming, she returned to the hotel immediately, quickly removed her hair accessories, changed her clothes, and rushed to the airport.
Since the incident involving the illegitimate child, Lin Shuqin has become Su Er's full-time agent under the instructions of a certain gentleman, and naturally she went back with Su Er.
"What's with all this rushing around?" Lin Shuqin frowned as she watched her rubbing her face and removing her makeup in front of the mirror. Her technique showed no concern for her face; it was almost red from rubbing.

Suddenly remembering something, she turned to ask, "Won't Brother Pei find out?"
Pei Jun was Jiang Siyan's bodyguard, a former soldier, specifically responsible for her personal safety.
Su Er was afraid that he would inform Jiang Siyan and ruin the surprise atmosphere, so she went back to the hotel to find an excuse to send him away before running out.
"No, I told him earlier that you were catching up on sleep, so I sent him off to rest."
Su Er put her arm around her and said, "Sister Qin, you're so kind!"
Lin Shuqin pushed her away in disgust, "Stop talking nonsense to me."
From the film set to the airport, a full two hours, Lin Shuqin slept the entire way, while Su Er was full of energy, constantly scrolling through her phone watching the recipe videos that Aunt Cui had sent her, rehearsing in her mind the scene of showing off her skills once they arrived.
That's right, this surprise event naturally required inside help; she had already turned Aunt Cui against her allies long ago.
After another two-hour flight, Su Er arrived in Beicheng in the afternoon.
Although it was only a short distance from the airport to the car, Su Er still felt the stark temperature difference between Beicheng and Hengdian.
Looking at the leaves on the treetops that were already turning slightly yellow, she realized that autumn had arrived.
Su Er called Aunt Cui from the car, "Aunt Cui, I'm almost at the alley."
Aunt Cui met her at the door, her eyes crinkling into slits with laughter. "Look at you, you look like a thief."
Su Er pulled Aunt Cui's hand and led her into the yard. "It's a surprise, but if he finds out, it's not a surprise anymore."
The persimmons in the yard were already ripening, and green and orange fruits hung on the branches. Su Er asked curiously, "Aunt Cui, when can we eat these persimmons?"
"In a couple more days, it'll be almost here. It changes every day, and who knows, it might be so heavy that the branches can't stand up overnight. When that time comes, let Yan-ge pick it for you, and you can have the first one." Aunt Cui affectionately stroked her hair.
Su Er readily agreed, "Okay, I'll also wish for good luck."
She quickly changed her clothes, washed her hands, tied on an apron, and calculated the time Jiang Siyan usually got home, not daring to waste a single second.
This time, Su Er specially learned from Aunt Cui how to make several of Jiang Siyan's favorite dishes. She made them all herself, while Aunt Cui only assisted her.
Su Er finally breathed a sigh of relief when the cookies were taken out of the oven before six o'clock.
The phone rang in the lobby, and Su Er hurried over to Aunt Cui to listen.
"Yan-ge'er, are you almost home?" Aunt Cui smiled and winked at Su Er, but her smile quickly froze, and she replied softly, "Well... okay..."
After hanging up the phone, Su Er couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"
Aunt Cui felt it was a pity, "It's just bad luck today. Yan-ge said he'll be back late tonight, he probably has to go to Xishan. Xiao Er, why don't you just call and tell him?"
