Su Er didn't think much of it and refused him, "No need, I have an audition tomorrow. After I get off the plane, Sister Qin will pick me up and I'll go straight to the audition."
The conversation fell silent once again, and even though he didn't speak, Su Er could still vaguely sense his displeasure.
But she still softened her voice and coaxed him, "Wait for me at home, okay?"
Perhaps it was a word in that sentence that pleased him, because his tone of reply was noticeably softer: "Okay."
The proposal ceremony prepared for Xi Wangshu was on the evening of the second day. Su Er made an excuse that he had bought a new house and brought Xi Wangshu over.
Before opening the door, Xi Wangshu was still hugging her and laughing, "Great job, Xiao Er, you've made it big! From now on, your sisters will be counting on you..."

Amid the cheers, Su Er suddenly realized that in a relationship, love should be something that is felt, rather than something that she needs to confirm over and over again.
She didn't necessarily want to get married, nor was she insistent on using marriage to bind their relationship.
She simply wanted equality, hoping that she too could have his unconditional love, enough to support them through a lifetime together.
But as it turns out, their love could only take them this far.
Continuing down this path would be forcing things, and forcing things rarely yields satisfactory results.
