As soon as Su Er entered the house, she took off her coat and ran straight to the dining room.
On the bus, she kept complaining that she was hungry and wanted to eat wontons.
She absolutely loves this, so we always keep some frozen in the fridge so she can sneak a bite or two when she craves it.
Fearing that the dumplings might have been cooked in advance, Jiang Siyan only had them started cooking when they were almost downstairs.
Jiang Siyan arrived at the restaurant a few steps later than Su Er. He immediately saw Su Er huddled next to the aunt, staring intently at the bubbling steam in the pot, looking every bit like a glutton.
"Auntie, is it ready?"
"Alright, alright, go sit down, I'll bring it to you." As she spoke, the steaming hot wontons were scooped up and placed into the prepared red soup.
Su Er couldn't wait to change her clothes. She lifted her skirt and sat down on the chair, looking like a fledgling bird waiting to be fed.
"Sir, would you like to share two bowls with Xiao Er?" The aunt placed the bowl in front of Su Er and then turned to ask Jiang Siyan.
Jiang Siyan poured himself a glass of ice water and was drinking it when the knuckles gripping the glass suddenly tightened. His throat bobbed twice, and the cold water went down his throat, but it did not extinguish the flames that were rising in his heart.
He waved his hand, "Auntie, you should go back and rest first. You can pack your things tomorrow."
"good."
Su Er was completely absorbed in the bowl of wontons in her hand, unaware of the approaching danger.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Su Er was a little full after eating the last few bites, and noticing his gaze, she couldn't eat anymore.
Jiang Siyan leaned back in his chair, legs crossed, gently swirling a clear glass in one hand, listening to the clinking of ice cubes against the glass, and asked slowly, "What was that flower on your back thinking?"
Su Er got angry when she talked about this, and angrily accused him: "It's all your fault. Who told you to bite my back like that? Even the concealer can't cover it up. I got scolded by Sister Qin. If I hadn't thought of this method, I almost wouldn't have been able to wear this dress today."
"Oh, that's my fault. I have to apologize to our Er'er." There wasn't a trace of sincerity in his tone.
Su Er snorted and ignored him.
There were still two wontons left, and Su Er couldn't swallow them anymore. She put down her spoon, wiped her mouth with a tissue, and let out a satisfied sigh while clutching her stomach.
"Are you full?" Jiang Siyan put down his cup.
Su Er nodded, got up and went to the dressing room to change clothes and wash up.
Just as she was about to reach for the knot tied at her back, she suddenly remembered and asked, "How did you come up with the idea of buying this dress?"
Jiang Siyan leaned against the doorframe, looking at her. "Don't you like it?"
“No, not really,” Su Er said. “Buying a dress is not worth it. It’s so expensive to spend so much money just to wear it once. It’s not worth it at all.”
Jiang Siyan couldn't help but laugh, "Our Er'er is so good at managing the household."
Su Er was about to glare at him to stop talking nonsense, but when she turned her head and met his gaze, she realized something was wrong.
That look in his eyes was exactly the same as the look he gave her yesterday when he coaxed her to sit on his lap.
Su Er immediately became alert and asked warily, "Aren't you going to take a shower first?"
Jiang Siyan walked behind her, patted the back of her hand, took the rope from her hand, and gently pulled, causing the knot to come undone.
His fingertips traced the shape of the flower stems on her back, gliding over every inch of her skin, cooler and more unsettling than a paintbrush.
"Jiang Siyan, not today..." Su Er gasped for breath, trying to grab his hand, but he grabbed her wrist and pinned her behind her back.
"Can't what?" He pressed his lips to her neck and kissed her.
Su Er still retained a sliver of reason, but her tone became increasingly soft under the irresistible kisses, "We can't do it like yesterday again, I... can't take it."
Jiang Siyan kissed her lips, "Stop when you say so, okay?"
He always coaxed her like this before starting anything.
"You're just trying to coax me." Su Er turned around and hooked her arms around his neck.
Jiang Siyan smiled, took her luscious red lips into his mouth, and gently sucked on them.
Su Er's eyes were filled with shimmering water as she looked at him tenderly, then she licked his lips in a pleading manner, "Let's go back to the room."
At that moment, Jiang Siyan complied with every request she made.
The moment all the dresses piled up at his waist, Su Er finally understood why he had bought the formal wear.
Beneath the hem of her skirt lies an unseen, enchanting landscape.
Her hands rested on his chest as she looked out at the swirling clouds and mist outside the window. She couldn't help but sob, biting her lower lip. She tried to lean down, but he grabbed her waist and lifted her chest.
Her hair was already disheveled and falling loose, and she shook her head with tears in her eyes, "Stop... Jiang Siyan, you said... um..."
"Okay, stop crying. It's my fault. I'm a jerk, huh?" He stroked her cheek, wiping away the tears that welled up in her eyes with his fingertips, while coaxing her with kisses, but his actions didn't give her any chance to catch her breath.
The moonlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows remained bright and clear, its silvery glow like a flawless ribbon, obscuring the eyes and making one unaware of the passage of time.
The sound of water in the bathroom stopped, and Jiang Siyan carried Su Er to another bedroom.
Unlike last night, Su Er lay lazily on his chest, not quite drowsy yet.
With a crisp "ding," the flame flickered, and wisps of blue smoke rose from the slender finger bones.
Su Er opened her half-closed eyes and held out her hand to Jiang Siyan, "I want one too, give me one."
Jiang Siyan slapped her hand away. "Go to sleep."
"Jiang Siyan, you're discriminating!"
She's been smoking very little lately, and he won't even offer her a cigarette afterward.
Jiang Siyan paid little attention to her complaints, and only asked in a very authoritative tone, "Don't you want to sleep?"
Su Er pouted and muttered, "You stingy bastard!"
With the smell of tobacco lingering around her nose, Su Er felt unwilling. Her eyes darted around, and she curled her lips into a sly smile.
She suddenly sat up, half-supported, her red lips brushing against the corner of his lips.
For a moment, Su Er was distracted. He decisively snatched the cigarette from Su Er's hand, put it in his mouth, took a deep drag, and defiantly exhaled a puff of smoke into Su Er's face.
Her body was now naked in the moonlight, smooth and sacred. The irises hidden in her hair had long been washed away, but the marks that had bloomed with her outstretched back were deeply etched into her memory.
Su Er leaned forward, pressing her lips, still damp with smoke, close to his, with wisps of smoke escaping from between them.
After the kiss ended, she chuckled softly.
The smell of tobacco gradually faded in the room. Jiang Siyan gently stroked her hair and asked, "When did you book your ticket home?"
Su Er rested her head on his firm abdominal muscles, feeling completely comfortable. "The day before New Year's Eve, I suppose."
Do you have time tomorrow night?
"Hmm?" Su Er's eyelids gradually closed.
Jiang Siyan pinched her earlobe. "How about I take you out to eat?"
"Mmm," she responded softly, her consciousness already fading.
Jiang Siyan pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead. The peaceful embrace they shared was more breathtakingly beautiful than the blooming of irises.
