As Ding Huizhu and the others approached, he flicked his sleeves, put his hands behind his back, and arrogantly raised his chin, as if he were waiting for Ding Huizhu and the others to come and greet him.
Ding Huizhu walked straight past without even glancing at the other person, her face cold.
The old man was stunned, somewhat incredulous, and subconsciously followed.
Ding Huizhu's face darkened, and she glanced at Sister Wan indifferently.
Sister Wan understood; the lady was annoyed and wanted her to get rid of the person quickly.
That's right. This old man is talking to Xie Li at the door. He might be someone Xie Li knows. He looks sleazy. I wonder which remote mountain village he came from. Does he think that dressing up properly can change his sleazy and poor appearance?
Sister Wan paused, her burly body blocking the old man's path, her face long and displeased.
"You think you can bother with our lady? Get out of here, you shorty!"
The old man's pupils widened slightly, anger gathering in his eyes; he was clearly furious: "You're just a servant..."
"What's wrong with a servant? A servant is still more noble than you. Get out of here!" Aunt Wan sneered and ordered, "Stop him."
Two bodyguards immediately stepped forward and stood like mountains in front of the old man, as if they would not hesitate to use their fists if he dared to cause any more trouble.
The old man's face turned bright red, and his eyes were burning with anger.
This is an utter disgrace, a complete disgrace! The Xie family and Ding Huizhu, very well!
He gritted his teeth, his voice almost squeezed out from between his teeth, "You Xie family will never regret this!"
When Sister Wan heard the old man's words, she curled her lip indifferently. Did the Xie family expect her to support him? Xie Li's poor relatives from the countryside, were they planning to come to the Xie family to freeload?
She quickly caught up with Ding Huizhu and got into the car.
Ding Huizhu sat in the car, her eyes sweeping over Xie Li, who had been watching from the sidelines the whole time.
She didn't see any emotion in Xie Li's eyes. Instead, he looked over with a hint of curiosity, showing no intention of interfering or any embarrassment at being exposed.
Could it be that she's mistaken, and that the person doesn't know Xie Li?
"What did you just say to that person?" Ding Huizhu asked Aunt Wan.
Sister Wan: "That old man said that the Xie family should not regret it."
Ding Huizhu's doubts were completely dispelled. This person knew she was from the Xie family, so he obviously knew her. He was also familiar with Xie Li, so it was really hard to say what he was here for.
However, this incident also served as a wake-up call for Ding Huizhu.
"When you get back, tell the housekeeper that from now on, any unauthorized people who come to the door should be kicked out."
Aunt Wan responded and instructed the driver to start the car. After the car started, she glanced triumphantly at Xie Li through the car window.
Xie Li thinks he can use this method to morally blackmail his wife into sending her back to school? He can only dream about it!
——
Xie Li glanced at Ding Huizhu's car from afar. Through the car window, he saw a pair of smug eyes. If he wasn't mistaken, it was that Sister Wan.
But what was she so smug about? Xie Li couldn't quite figure it out.
She glanced at the old man who had just asked for directions with some sympathy. She wondered what his relationship was with Ding Huizhu. He was so old, yet he looked like he was about to explode with anger.
She shook her head, took her phone, and walked a few steps outside. Her car had arrived.
A low-key yet luxurious black Bentley pulled up on the parking island. The door opened, and Xie Li, about to get in, paused, momentarily stunned.
Luo Zhihan smiled and looked up, "Lili."
