Jiang Baiyuan left the ward before Lin Changchun was about to make a move.
"Old Jiang, you bastard, stop right there!"
Lin Changchun shouted and chased after him.
Without Lin Changchun, that clown, the ward instantly fell silent. Su Wan looked at Qin Yi, who was calmly peeling an orange for himself, as if nothing had happened.
But Su Wan was certain that he was hiding something from her.
When Qin Yi handed her the oranges, she raised an eyebrow at him and asked, "What does Jiang Baiyuan want with you?"
Qin Yi: "He went back to go on blind dates and asked me to give him some advice."
As Qin Yi spoke, he peeled a slice from the orange in his hand and fed it to Su Wan, demonstrating exceptional mental fortitude.
Su Wan smiled as she looked at him. If she hadn't been spending so much time with him lately, she would have actually believed him, given his serious demeanor.
She wasn't stupid; she snorted and stared at Qin Yi's face.
Seeing Su Wan's disbelieving expression, Qin Yi gently rubbed her hand in a conciliatory manner.
Su Wan glanced at him and slapped him away. The person on the hospital bed spoke lightly.
"To be honest, you only get one chance."
Looking at Su Wan's bright smile, Qin Yi's face lost its previous certainty, but he was not embarrassed at all by Su Wan's exposure of his thoughts. He had been through many storms and remained calm despite his mistakes.
But 'Qin Gou' changed his attitude to admit his mistake, sitting up straight and looking at Su Wan as he explained everything in detail.
"I had Bai Yuan go to another city to bring back a renowned doctor to treat my leg."
He emphasized the word "look at the leg" to show his attitude that he would not refuse treatment as he had before.
After Qin Yi finished speaking, he looked at Su Wan, as obedient as a husband being scolded for doing something wrong. He had confessed everything and dared not hide anything from his wife.
Su Wan raised an eyebrow and glanced at Qin Yi. She knew he was telling the truth, but she didn't want to let him off so easily.
Even she herself didn't realize that in front of Qin Yi, she would fuss over eight points of the smallest things and pester him even when she was in the wrong.
Qin Yi remained silent, allowing Su Wan to judge him, and then leaned forward to massage Su Wan's legs.
His appearance perfectly captured how Su Wan had bullied him in a domineering and unreasonable manner.
That's blatantly provocative.
Seeing his sincere apology, Su Wan smiled and said, "From now on, speak your mind directly. If I find out you've lied to me..."
Su Wan smiled, showing no displeasure whatsoever, but Qin Yi gave her a 120% guarantee.
"Definitely not."
Actually, given the environment Su Wan grew up in, she shouldn't be so spoiled and willful, but with Qin Yi, she just acts like a spoiled brat!
This is probably something Qin Yi has been doing lately.
The phrase "spoiled and arrogant" perfectly describes Su Wan. Qin Yi didn't want her to be a sensible woman who sacrificed herself; he wanted her to be herself.
When they first got married, he didn't trust her and misunderstood that she had ulterior motives for marrying him. He wanted to drive her away. Another reason was that he was already paralyzed and didn't want to burden her, a young woman in the prime of her life.
Nobody wants to spend their life with a cripple like him.
Aside from that, he has always treated Su Wan well; in fact, you could say he has always been devoted to her.
He realized his own subtle feelings when Su Wan was in danger; he didn't want to let go.
He wanted to keep her by his side; at least for now, it seemed that Su Wan liked him too.
Now, he wants to give himself a chance, to stand up for her, and to become her support.
Although he knew it would be difficult, and he might even suffer another setback.
But he wanted to try.
He could tell that his young wife didn't have a good relationship with the Su family, and the Su family didn't really care about her.
He wanted to protect her.
Be her man.
To shelter her from the wind and rain.
Su Wan was discharged from the hospital on the third day after her stitches were removed.
There were four people in the car, and from the time they were discharged from the hospital until they got home, most of the time only Lin Changchun, the talkative one, spoke.
"Sister-in-law, do any of your classmates have singles? Look at me, I'm quite handsome, can I introduce you to someone?"
Jiang Baiyuan looked at him with a headache.
"Let me think about it."
Su Wan glanced at Qin Yi and spoke while suppressing a laugh.
Qin Yi glanced at the back of Lin Changchun's head and said calmly, "Are you desperate to get married?"
"What are you talking about? Only women are eager to get married. I'm a grown man, I'm eager to get married!"
At this moment, Lin Changchun took his infatuation with his wife to the extreme.
"Have you forgotten about the time you threw someone over your shoulder the first time you met them?"
Sitting in the passenger seat, Jiang Baiyuan could no longer tolerate Lin Changchun's incessant chatter and casually uttered this remark.
Lin Changchun, like a duck being choked, turned red with frustration and stammered for a long time without getting anything out, before falling silent.
Su Wan gestured to Qin Yi with her eyes, and Qin Yi subtly hooked her finger and returned the gesture.
'I'll tell you when I get back.'
Su Wan was filled with curiosity. The men in the car remained silent, and an eerie silence fell over the room.
As soon as I entered the courtyard, I saw Grandma Qin waiting eagerly at the door.
As soon as the car came to a stop, Grandma Qin couldn't wait to go to it.
"Wanwan, come and let Grandma take a look."
After Su Wan got out of the car, she stood obediently, smiling as she was looked at.
When Grandma Qin saw the hideous wound on Su Wan's head and the hair that had been shaved off while stitching, her eyes welled up with tears.
Su Wan's rosy cheeks and smiling eyes revealed her bright red lips and white teeth: "Grandma, look, I'm standing right in front of you, aren't I?"
Grandma Qin was still heartbroken and kept wiping away tears.
It wasn't until Qin Yi came down that he spoke up to persuade him.
"Grandma, Wanwan was just discharged from the hospital. Do you want her to stand at the door in the cold wind? The doctor said that it will give her a headache."
