Chapter 72 Eating Together
Gu Muran followed Li Qihan and just received a message from Gu Moci: Nuannuan, I was going to pick you up, but Qihan said he needs your help, so let him take you back to the mansion later.
Gu Muruan: Okay.
"Nuannuan, what do you want to eat?" Somehow, Li Qihan didn't feel unfamiliar with Gu Murnuan, as if they had been together for a long time. It was definitely not because she and Gu Muwan looked exactly the same. After all, he and Gu Muwan only got along with Gu Moci.
"Um, how about I go home and eat?" Gu Muran looked at Li Qihan who had been running around for a long time and still wanted to treat her to a meal.
"I've delayed your meal, so I have to take you to eat before sending you home, right?" Li Qihan's voice was very low. He didn't even know why he would automatically lower his voice when talking to Gu Muruan. "What do you want to eat?"
Thinking it would be impolite to refuse again, Gu Munuan agreed, "It's all right."
"Well, I heard from A Ci that your stomach is not feeling well. How about I take you to have some porridge?" Li Qi Han helped Gu Muruan make the decision.
Gu Muruan nodded.
Li Qihan drove to a very popular national chain porridge shop.
"Qi Han, why are you in the mood to come to my place? You didn't even say hello in advance." As the two of them walked into the hall, a middle-aged man who looked about the same age as Gu's father walked over from the side. He should be the owner of this store.
"Uncle Chen, I'm here on short notice." Li Qi Han seemed to have a good relationship with the boss.
“Who is this…?”
"Gu Muruan, A Ci's sister. Nuannuan, this is the owner and founder of this porridge shop, just call him Uncle Chen." Li Qihan introduced the two.
"Hello, Uncle Chen." Gu Muran greeted him first.
"Oh, Aci's sister, Nuannuan, welcome to drink porridge here. Your brother and Qi Han often came here when they were in high school. This is the first time I bring you here. If you think the porridge here is good today, come often in the future, and uncle will give it to you for free." Uncle Chen was smiling and was an optimist.
"Thank you, Uncle Chen."
"Don't be polite, go up with Qi Han." Uncle Chen greeted.
The two of them went to the private room upstairs. "When Cheng was a sophomore in high school, he was at S University. He was busy with his graduation thesis and social practice, so his meals were very irregular. Later, Aunt Gu took him for a checkup. He was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer and was ordered to go home for dinner. But he simply couldn't find the time. So, Ah Ci discovered this porridge shop, dragged me over to have some porridge, and then brought some to Cheng. He did this for about half a year. Later, I found the porridge here quite tasty, and I became familiar with the owner." Li Qihan explained his connection to this shop.
"Look and see what dishes you want to eat." Li Qihan said, handing the menu to Gu Muruan.
Gu Munuan was fascinated by their story. She looked at the menu handed to her and pushed it back: "You can have something. I don't have any dietary restrictions."
It wasn't that Gu Muruan and Li Qihan were being polite, it was just that she hadn't developed the habit of ordering food independently in a restaurant. Firstly, she didn't take money when dining out, so she felt embarrassed to order. Secondly, she had never had the qualifications or conditions to order food before returning to the Gu family.
Li Qihan didn't insist and recommended a few dishes for Gu Muruan to try. He also ordered three different kinds of porridge.
"Can we finish it?" Gu Muran felt that he ordered a little too much.
"Sure, once it's on the table you won't feel like you can't finish it." Li Qihan said with a smile.
Waiting for the food to come: Well, she doesn’t understand the world of rich people.
The dishes were served on small plates, not the full plates she had imagined. The porridge wasn't a large bowl per person, but rather a pot roughly the same size as the bowl itself. There were three types of porridge, so that meant three large bowls in total. After two people ate all of this, there was only a little left.
"Have you finished eating? How does it taste?" Li Qihan asked.
"Delicious." Gu Muran was very satisfied with the meal. She could eat many kinds of dishes without wasting any food.
"Let's go, I'll take you home." The two said hello to Uncle Chen again, and Li Qi Han took Gu Muran back to the Gu family mansion.
It was nine o'clock in the evening when we got home. Mother Gu was sitting on the sofa with Grandma Gu watching TV. When they saw the two of them come in, they asked: "How is it? Did Nuan Nuan help Qi Han? How is that teammate?"
Since Li Qihan told Gu Moci in advance, the elders of the Gu family knew about this when they asked why Gu Muran hadn't returned home.
